I'm a Nintendo fan, and Smash Brothers (for Wii U and 3DS) is the only fighting game I can truly shine at.
I'm also curious to know how you prefer to play Smash.
Personally, I use Mario as my main. If possible, I try to meteor smash opponents frequently. Pulling off a successful meteor smash brings me immense joy. I mix offense and defense, as is the way Mario is meant to be used.
I like to play without items due to the current generation of items being rather annoying. I've lost battles due to item spam (eg multiple assist trophies). I'm still a bit peeved that Waluigi isn't playable.
