First of all a few words, before I start with the team: I apologise in advance for every mistake I make, pokèmon-, laguage- and forum-rule-wise. I started competitive at the end of gen 5 and this is my first thread in this forum. Furthermore I come from Austria, where we don't speak english normally. I am thankful for all ratings, suggestions and comments :)
Changes are in Red
And now I'd like to start with the Team Building Process (Optional)
Speedhit
Normally I don't name my Teams, but as it seems it's tradition here so I chose this name, because all main sweepers are (played) very fast. The team has no real concept behind it like a sun team does. Assume all important IV's are maxed.
Phoenix (Talonflame) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Swords Dance
Name: Pretty standard, but I can't think of a better one.
Info: I play it with Brave Bird + Leftovers at the moment, but as soon as Pokebank is out in Europe I'll play it with Acrobatics + Flying Gem.
Description: What can I say about it? Well, it is one of the if not the best pokemon introduced in Gen 6. The Base Attack of 81 isn't really good for a sweeper but its ridiculous speed combined with its Ability Gale Wings, which means Priority +1 on all Flying Attacks is just unbelievably good. Brave Bird and Flare Blitz both make 120dmg each at the cost of 33% recoil. U-Turn is to do damage instead of just switching out and because there isn't really an alternative to it, as I think it's jsut more useful than Roost. In the last slot I have chosen Swords Dance instead of Roost and let the Leftovers do the rest. Speaking of Leftovers: I have chosen it because i think Life Orb with 33% Recoil attacks and without a healing move (I prefer 2x Damage and the loose of a turn over 1.3x damage and 43% recoil) is a bit too suicidal for my taste. The EV's and the Nature are standard for a physical sweeper.
Why would you use this Pokemon? - As mentioned previously this is one of my favourite Gen 6 Pokemon. It is a great threat to almost all teams and often doesn't go down without taking at least 1 or 2 Pokemon with it. The reason for it is despite the low Base-Attack the Priority Flying-STAB and the incredible Fast Fire STAB. It kills almost every Plant, Fighter and Bug. Steel and Ice Pokemon melt away when they see it (dem Pun). Furthermore it is a more or less safe switch-in for the threats of Graninja. My (only) physical Sweeper.
Karliah (Greninja) (F) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Protean
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
Name: Karliah is one of the best thieves in Skyrim, wears only Black and has Red Eyes. Do I have to say anything more? (Shiny Greninja <3)
Greninja - The Thief Starter. Great Speed and (Special) Attack. I've chosen the Special variant over the Mixed, because I think Mixed Sweepers are like mix-classes in Baldur's Gate II. They know something from everything, but nothing really good. Anyway, its Ability Protean grants a STAB on every Attack it uses and makes it sometimes very hard for the oponent to find an Attack that is very effective, even if he or she predicts right. I prefer Scald over Surf because of the 30% burn chance, but this is preference. I think the rest of the Attacks don't need further explanation, because they are just coverage moves. The EV's and the Nature are standard for a special sweeper. Expert Belt because it has a great variety of attacks.
Why would you use this Pokemon? - Also one of my favourite Gen 6 Pokemon. While his Partner Talonflame has the Ability to be faster than everything to kill the threats of Greninja, his Ability allows him a STAB on every Attack to counter the enemies of the Firebird above. With his great variety of Attacks in combination with the Expert Belt the Ninja hits hard and fast. My special Sweeper which takes care of basically everything except Steel and Fairy.
Vito (Donphan) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
Name: Donphan -> Don -> Mafia -> Mafia II (Game) -> Vito (Protagonist)
A physical staller with a decent Attack that knows Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin, what do you want more? I've chosen him over Forretress, because of the Stab Earthquake and the great Attack. Unfortunately at the cost of Toxic Spikes. Rock Slide is for coverage and against Talonflame. The EV's and the Nature are standard for a Physical Staller.
Why would you use this Pokemon? - As mentioned above I see in him the best Rapid Spinner and Entry Hazarder (?). Furthermore he has a extremly powerful Earthquake and a Rock Slide to take care of Talonflame.
Aeris (Florges) @ Leftovers
Ability: Symbiosis
EVs: 252 SDef / 4 SAtk / 252 HP
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
- Wish
- Toxic
Name: The flower girl from the legendary Final Fantasy 7.
Description: Dem SDef. With it's Fairy Typing it can switch into any Dragon Attacks. Whith it's enormous 154 SDef Base it is a special Wall. Moonblast is a strong STAB with a good chance to lower the SAtk of the enemy pokemon. Energy Ball is honestly just because I had no clue what else to play on it. Aromatherapy is obviously to cure my team from status effects and toxic to harm enemys that can't be taken out by Moonblast or Energy Ball. Or simply force the enemy to switch. Wish is to heal the flower if Leftovers aren't enouh. EV's and nature should be standard for a special Staller.
Why would you use this pokemon? - I want at least one Fairy in my time to counter Dragon(-Attacks) of my opponent. At first I tried it with the more offensive Togekiss, but I soon realised I need a more offensive Pokemon than Venusaur to take down Fairies. And because I wouldn't have had any Special defensive Pokemon in my Team if I continued using Togekiss I needed a more defensive one. And because I think Florges is one of the best non-mega Fairy I chose her. Her job in the team is of course to stall special Pokemon and cure the team of statuses with Aromatherapy.
Changes are in Red
And now I'd like to start with the Team Building Process (Optional)
The original team started with my 2 favourite Pokemon of Gen 6:
Then I added 2 of my favourite stallers for defense:
And then I added 2 Pokémon my favourite Let's Player used in his last video:
I often got sweeped away by a variety of Pokèmon and I decided that I needed more defense.
Also I added a more or less defensive Mega:
I wasn't happy with the new team so I chose a more offensive Mega and a new Wall, both used by the Let's Player mentioned above:
Because I am not a very good predicter the Ghost wasn't the right choice for me so I tried Deoxys Deff. But because it was slower than many other leads with entry hazards I replaced it with Deoxys Speed:
Because the 2 Attacks I was running on Deoxys could sometimes sweep through whole teams I soon realised, that it is more valuable if I play it offensive. In making it offensive I lost my entry hazards, this is why I added Donphan and ditched Sigilyph (who wasn't harmoning well with the team). Unfortunately the team had big problems with fairies so I replaced Mega-Heracross with Mega-Venusaur.
The Team was running better than ever, yet I still felt that Venusaur wasn't doing too well against offensive fairies like Togekiss. Speaking of Togekiss: I really like it, but because I had to swop my plant with a more offensive Pokèmon I needed defense on the special side so Togekiss had to go as well.

Chuck Norris (Lucario) (M) @ Lucarionite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
Name: I think that there's no need to explain something here.
Description: 145 Atk and 112 Spd. Very Nice physical Sweeper with a great Stab Bullet Punch and High Jump Kick. The Earthquake makes the rest. Sword Dance is to boost the Atk if the enemy is forced to switch. The EV's and the Nature should be clear again.
Why would you use this Pokemon? - I think there are 2 logical Options if you want to take down fairies with a Mega - physical Sweeper: Scizor und Lucario. The reason why I prefer Lucario is because of the mutch higher speed. Not enough to be faster than Pokemon like Greninja, but still faster than most fairies. And with it's 145 Atk it can also hit very hard, especially if your oponent thinks you play it special.

Slender (Deoxys-Speed) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Modest Nature
-
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Rock]
Name: S...S...Slender...Slenderifujghbdofzhnvidufnch
Deoxys-S: My favourite Pokemon at the moment. If I see no Entry-Hazard Lead in the enemy lines this is my Pokemon of choice. A STAB Psyshock, that also hits SDef-Stallers like Rotom very hard and Ice Beam for Coverage. Thunderbolt against Greninja, HP [Rock] takes down Taloflame. Without any investment it is faster than any other common non-scarfed Pokemon in OU. The 252 Def is to survive an attack from Talonflame and the 252+ in SAtk is to boost the stat to 317. Expert Belt because it has like Greninja a great variety of attacks.
Why would you use this Pokemon? - Because it's my favourite. It is unbelievably fast, can take out one of the biggest threats of the current meta and has just a great movepool. Furthermore it takes care of the most popular sweeping leaders. Why wouldn't I use it?!
