Tapu Koko can surprise some of its checks such as Assault Vest Magearna, Chansey, and specially defensive Jirachi and Heatran through the use of Electrium Z + Wild Charge. Hidden Power Ice 2HKOes the prevalent Ground-types in tier in Garchomp, Landorus-T, and offensive Zygarde. Taunt's utility is appreciated because it allows Tapu Koko to effectively take on Mew, Zapdos, and Clefable. Taunt also prevents entry hazards from Pokemon such as Smeargle, Ferrothorn, and Skarmory while stopping setup and Defog from the likes of Magearna and Mega Scizor. U-turn rounds off the set so Tapu Koko can generate momentum and escape Dugtrio that do not carry a Choice Scarf. Because this set maximizes Tapu Koko's Attack stat, Brave Bird is an option over Hidden Power Ice or Taunt to nail Grass-types such as Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, Mega Venusaur, and Amoonguss. Roost seems like an appealing option due to Wild Charge's recoil, but a regular Wild Charge is rarely used outside of revenge killing Water-types and surprising Pokemon such as Tapu Lele and Volcarona. It is often best to keep momentum and pressure the opponent than preserve health on a set that has inferior coverage to Tapu Koko's special attacking sets.

Set Details
========

A Naive nature is needed to guarantee the 2HKO on defensive Landorus-T with Hidden Power Ice. Maximum Speed and Attack EVs are used so Tapu Koko can hit as hard and be as fast as possible. Electrium Z is the only viable item so Tapu Koko can surprise and then severely damage, if not eliminate, some of its checks in Assault Vest Magearna, Chansey, and specially defensive Heatran with Gigavolt Havoc.

Usage Tips
========

Unlike Tapu Koko's special attacking sets, Electrium Z + Wild Charge is more inclined towards a supportive role than an independent role. Tapu Koko should not be trying to pave a way for itself but should instead lure in the intended targets of Gigavolt Havoc for teammates. Sometimes, it may not be best to use Gigavolt Havoc right away because it can be scouted for with a Ground-type. If possible, use U-turn on Gigavolt Havoc's targets to initially give off the impression that Tapu Koko is not carrying it and surprise them later with Tapu Koko's Z-Move. Regular Wild Charge will rarely be used outside of revenge killing, so this Tapu Koko set should be focused on keeping up momentum with U-turn and pressuring more passive Pokemon with Taunt when it has used its Z-Move.

Team Options
========

This Tapu Koko set can work well on rain teams because the initial reaction from a player is that it is most likely using Thunder. This makes Pokemon such as Assault Vest Magearna and Chansey feel they are in a more comfortable position, only to take heavy damage from Gigavolt Havoc. This opens a pathway for rain sweepers such as Kingdra and Ash-Greninja. Psychic-types such as Latios, Hoopa-U, Tapu Lele, and Mega Alakazam are great teammates because Tapu Koko lures in a lot of their countermeasures such as specially defensive Jirachi and Assault Vest Magearna. Hawlucha is a nice teammate because it sets up on a lot of the bulky Grass-types Tapu Koko struggles with. Physical Tapu Koko also tends to lure in defensive Landorus-T due to its weaker Hidden Power Ice, and Tapu Koko can net chip damage on it so Electric Seed Hawlucha is in a position to sweep. Speaking of bulky Grass-types, Pokemon such as Heatran, Mega Medicham, and Mega Charizard Y that capitalize on them are appreciated. Heatran can use Substitute freely on many Grass-types that Tapu Koko brings in such as Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu. Mega Medicham's Thunder Punch is boosted by Tapu Koko's Electric Terrain, preventing its biggest roadblock in Mew from freely switching in. Finally, Mega Charizard Y appreciates Tapu Koko easing its matchup against cores with Chansey, Toxapex, and Dugtrio. Tapu Koko can also support two powerful sweepers in the tier in Swords Dance Mega Mawile and Shift Gear Magearna. Swords Dance Mega Mawile cannot afford Knock Off due to the prevalence of Magearna, but this Tapu Koko set lures Magearna in for it, allowing it to use one of its best moves. In Shift Gear Magearna's case, Tapu Koko destroys Assault Vest Magearna, Chansey, and specially defensive Jirachi and Heatran, which are some of the best countermeasures to it in the tier. Because this set has the Z-Crystal, Shift Gear Magearna should lean towards item options in Shuca Berry and Leftovers.
