Thanks CTC for the suggestions. I'm the guy that requested the Azu/ZardX/Ferro core, and I got some questions for the modifications of the team posted above, mostly to further improve my understanding and the teambuilding process. Since the user for which you built this team specifically requested Double Dance LandT, I figure you don't HAVE to use it, right? Cause I'm not the biggest fan of the set, although if you say it's the best for this team then I'll give it a try. Regarding TTar: Since the initial team contains Keldeo, I figure it's important to use Scarf/PursuitTar to counter the Latis with which Keld struggles, but if I were to replace it with Azu, Latis wouldn't be that much of an issue because Knock Off to the face yknow. Do you still think a Pursuit trapper is required, and what for? Would it be possible to use Scarf LandT as a scarfer instead of TTar (cause that thing is so beast), and if so, would you still run TTar or something else? Also, would Healing Wish on Latias be an option? It's great to give Azu a second life after it tanked a few hits with AV and allows it to repeatedly check things, or also to heal CharX which hates paralysis and poison. Thanks in advance, 'preciate the work you put in in this thread.

chive feel free to modify it however u want.
as for the amph + mamo suggestion, i feel like both cover the same shit for rain, while amph is weak as all fuck outside of rain w measly 90 bp coverage moves n no boosting items/moves.
this team is more of a fatty type that i liked to use on rain a long time ago, while cruel w spray deals w clef who shits on fat shit. ace scor deals w hera, and u just gotta outplay the medis n gards since some fucktards thought they were balanced with aegi gone.

Hey ctc can you make a stall team that uses defensive Granbull as it fares well against mega hera and mega cham two common threats to stall. If you can make the team with a cleric that isn't blissey or chansey that would also be great if not thats okay too. Feel free to change the set as well, Granbull's movepool is pretty diverse. If possible can you make this team for the metagame after mawile gets banned. Thanks, this is a really cool project!

Granbull.gif

Granbull @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Play Rough
- Earthquake/counter
- Thunder Wave
- Roar
-1 252+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Granbull: 115-140 (29.9 - 36.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ Atk Mega Heracross Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Granbull: 255-305 (66.4 - 79.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
8 Atk Granbull Play Rough vs. 40 HP / 0 Def Mega Heracross: 204-242 (65.5 - 77.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Since aegis lash recently got banned a pokemon that is starting to rise is mega medi. Mega medi teams apart with its priority and power. Counters to it are slowbro and mew. Therefore the second poke in my core would be a band weavile to trap these afore mentioned threats

Hey CTC, I've been kinda fascinated with these two for some reason recently:

aerodactyl-mega.gif

chesnaught.gif

I don't know how to explain it except I like their vibe. They've got some nice synergy except for the Ice weakness. Wanna come up with a nice Balance squadron with these? Would love to see Aero's boss coverage picking apart teams and Chesnaught coming in and cockblocking threats. Keep it Balance as a nice little challenge, Offense and Stall bore me. Thanks boss.

and heres a vic squad. i think due to zard its more common to physically check fire types, so i went w uturn special since the usual special fire switch is lati or like goodra and bisharp just traps them. vic n hera also have good synergy as u can uturn out of tars trans n nites to just fire off ridiculous moves w bug. team is slow but demolishes fat shit

Victini @ Expert Belt
Trait: Victory Star

EVs: 72 HP / 184 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Roost
- Defog
Now that aegi is banned, would you do any changes to this victini squaaaaaaaad?

I just read a few posts back and people were complaining about "one mon" posting, so ignore my previous post since it's garbage.

Anyways, screw the sharpedo request, what i really want to try is a team built around the famous Goth+Gyara core. I really enjoy using both those mons but i never
got a chance to make a solid team around it. I was hoping for your based god skills in teambuilding CTC.

Gothitelle @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 76 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Gyarados-Mega @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Substitute/Taunt/Ice fang

I really don't know what to run on this team and i am stuck with these two mons.

Hey, CTC. I would like you to create a VoltTurn team using at least 3 of theses Mons: Noivern, Diggersby, Rotom-H, Staraptor, MegaAmpharos, Raikou, Foretress, Azelf, Darmanitan, Volcarona, or Rotom-Mow. None of them are OU by usage, but all have access to U-turn and/or Volt Switch, are not usually seen on VoltTurn teams, and are viable in OU in some way.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock / SD / Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Explosion

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Atk / 60 SpD / 64 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
so explosion lando-t is smth i've been wanting to try out but i don't have enough time to build around it. it seems like it could be used to good use by blowing past or weakening many walls such as chansey, clefable, gliscor, mega saur, quagsire, rotom-w, zapdos and practically any wall that does not resist explosion. yet it has edgequake coverage to back itself up to hit heatran, tyranitar, and etc. rocksteelshit. i thought zard x could take an advantage against many of these walls so i thought these two mons can sort of work together. also i suck at teambuilding so yeah.

after making a god awful core and (thankfully you fixed it and it worked) i think its time i step things up a notch and try to put a good core together. i honestly love to make interesting cores so now i present a core ive been wanting to do but have had a hard time making it.

metagross @ lum berry/life orb
ability: clear body
Evs: 252 hp/252 atk/ 4 def
adament nature
meteor mash
ice punch
earthquake/agility?
zen headbutt

this is a good metagross set ive been using for a while. it hits hard and can also live a hit. due to the nerf of steel types however its been hard to use this thing. Now that the main ghost type move spammer aegislash is gone i feel like metagross might have a chance to do well. The whole point of the set is to hit hard. the lum berry allows metagross to hit a pokemon that will try to burn him and possibly ko it. (not the best reason but it worked)

landorus-t @choice scarf
ability: intimidate
Evs: 4 hp/ 252 atk/ 252 spd
nature: jolly
earthquake
stone edge
knock off/superpower
u-turn

personally i feel like choice scarfed landorus t is a great pokemon. it takes down a bunch of pokemon that think that they can force a switch such as a greninja and then ohko it with superpower taking out a huge threat. this set also revenge kills multiple pokemon as hits like a small truck.

slyveon Leftovers
ability: pixelate
nature: calm/bold
evs: not sure
hyper voice
wish
protect
heal bell

slyveon acts as the main cleric of the group and also acts as the pokemon to tank the special moves that the rest of the core is weak to. hyper voice dents everything. Not only that but slyveon helps keep the rest of the team alive.

this team needs a physically defensive wall as well as a few special attackers.

I know I just asked you to build a CeleDaunt team but if you haven't already started I've been thinking about something that could be much more interesting actually if you wouldn't mind switching my request. Could you build something around this core or a variation of it?

306-m.png

Aggron @ Aggronite
Rock Head/Sturdy
Impish
252 HP/16 Def/240 SDef

-Roar/Rest

Sylveon @ Leftovers

Zygarde @ Lum Berry/Life Orb
Aura Break
Adamant
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
-Dragon Dance

-Outrage
-Extreme Speed

hi, I'm here again. thank you for the ape+kyuB team.
for the last time, can you make me this team?

642-therian.gif

Thundurus-T @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe --> don't really know
Modest Nature
- Agility
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

thundurus-t, not really that much used due to the fact that he is outclassed by his incarnate counterpart. I really want to see this old threat back again with its DD set, double dance that is. if you want to change the moves or drop one of its boosting moves I'm fine with that. but honestly I prefer Agility with life orb to outrun offensive teams because heracross handles stall quite well.

214-mega.gif

Heracross @ Heracronite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Pin Missile
- Rock Blast
- Substitute?

this mon is one of the banes to the stall's existence, the wallbreaker. supports thunT by getting rid of few of its counters like tyranitar, heatran because I'm not running Focus Blast on thunT. he can also check LeadLoom with pin missile.

251.gif

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Calm Nature
- U-turn / Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Giga Drain
- Recover

keldeo can be a big trouble so I need a check to it, even Specs Icy wind does nothing to this cute monster. he also helps thunT and hera by paralyzing faster ([eg]greninja) mons, sets up rocks, absorbs status. speed evs to outspeed max speed tyranitar to u-turn out before he uses pursuit. if you have a better set or anything it's you're decision to replace the set or the mon itself.

just like the first team, I request for an Offensive team that, you know, uh.. destroys stall..

Hello CTC, i'm pretty new here and i actually need help in creating a team. I wanted to make a stall team and when I looked for pokemon with high hp stats most of most of them are either ubers or have shit defenses. Chansey/Blissey is basically on every stall team. I found Cresselia to have good stats and now i wanted to build a stall team with it. Here's the Cresselia set i think i should use.

488.gif

Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Psychic
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

I think RestTalk is good since this mon doesn't have any recovery outside of leftovers. i also get max def since random non STAB U-turns just appear out of nowhere (or maybe it only happens in low tier) , dark attacks are usually physical, most fighting attacks are physical and psyshock looks at def.

When i think of a good partner i can only think of a Mandibuzz. It resists dark and ghost which just kills Cress and it defogs and has foul play to destroy psychics and gengars.

630.gif

Mandibuzz (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Taunt

I've never really been able to make a good team out of these two and i dont think i saw a team with Cress in the RMT. Hope i can get some help. Thanks ^^

Hey champ--really enjoying these teams. Keep it up! Anyways...

Seeing as everyone is requesting offense or balance, I want to see you build a stall team with none other than...

Gyarados-373196371

Specially Defensive Gyarados!

Gyarados @ leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248HP/252 SpDef/ 8Atk
Careful Nature
-Waterfall
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Thunder Wave/Dragon Tail

So basically, this guy's a monster at the moment. Capable of taking on Keldeo, Landorus-I, Charizard Y, Greninja, and even Talonflame, this Gyarados pulls so much weight on stall teams. You can toy around with the EV's a little, but it must remain Specially Defensive enough to take on Landorus at the bare minimum. If you REALLY want to make things interesting, you could mess around with MegaDos, in which case you'll probably want DD.

Also, as an added challenge, I would like to see you make the team WITHOUT the famous SkarmChans core. Other than that, anything goes. I want to see your take on current stall given these limitations AND using Gyarados.

Best of luck!

whats up CTC, its pretty cool to see you're doing this and ive had some success using the teams youve made so far. I want to request a core to use in a team

landorus.gif

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Psychic
- Knock Off

medicham-mega.gif

Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch

bisharp.gif

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Iron Head

Mega Medicham and Landorus-I pretty much have no switch-ins except for SpDef mew and few, rare mons such as Cress.
Because of that I decided to add Pursuit Bisharp
It's a pretty solid core which covers each others weaknesses quite nicely.
So it would be pretty cool if you made a team with these three.. thanks in advance

Hey CTC, I have an idea for a team that I think would be cool:

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast

magnezone.gif

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon

azumarill.gif

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 228 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall

Basically, the idea of this core is to take out Steel and Fairy types using Magnezone for Garchomp to spam Outrage. Azumarill completes a Dragon/Fairy/Steel core with Magnezone and Garchomp and has pretty good synergy with the two. In order for Garchomp to spam Outrage, it needs all of its checks and counters to be weakened to the point where Outrage can finish them off. Because of this, I think having Spikes and Stealth Rocks on the team might help quite a bit. Also, to help weaken the opposing team, a poke that can form a Voltturn core with Magnezone would be a great help to the team. It would help with getting Magnezone in on opposing steel types, and it would be useful for wearing down the opponent's team, making Garchomp's job even easier.

I think this core would work best on a Balanced Team, so if you could make a Team using these pokes, it would be much appreciated. Good Luck!

Hi CTC , All your teams are awesome and i hope that you can do a theam with this sets
Greninja (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Extrasensory
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- OverHeat
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost

This sets are to strange but so OP too , The only thing i request to you is a defoger
Thx al still making this fantastic work

sup CTC nice teams so far. Hoping you could make something around this:

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Rest
- Calm Mind
- Snore
- Psyshock

Although Mega Gardevoir is seen as an offensive mon, this set aims to go a more stallish route. This goal of this set is to switch in when its threats are taken care of, calm mind up, and snore your way to victory. Snore gets boosted by pixelate and can go through subs making it somewhat viable. An alternative to this set could be hyper voice and sleep talk over snore and psyshock but crocune probably does that better. Something to take on steel types would help since they wall this gardevoir all day. A heatran might work to take on ferrothorns and scizor.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 248 SDef / 12 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Protect

Since these two are pretty slow, some priority or other fast mons would help out the team or you could just go the complete stall route.

Aight I'm seeing loooootsa standard stuff on this thread, allow me to provide something different:

i_sableye_s.gif

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
- Will-o-Wisp
- Knock Off
- Recover
- Taunt

i_wobbuffet_s.gif

Wobbuffet @ Leftovers/Sitrus Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 28 HP / 232 Def / 248 SDef
Bold Nature
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Encore
- Safeguard

These two royally fuck with both stall and offense, crippling an ungodly amount of pokes on each team archetype. Fuck yo setup sweepers. Fuck yo blobs. Playing around this shit is a nightmare. Unless your name is Gengar, who doesn't give a single fuck. EVs are p standard, so change them hwever you want.
This got buried amongst all the other shit last page, still wunt

no idea slyveon was outclassed by clef. ill continue to try until i can do a decent core.
alright after thinking long and hard i think ill just ask for a drag mag team. Also ctc while a bit off topic would you by any chance be willing to do a doubles core?

garchomp @choice scarf
nature: adament/jolly
evs: 4 hp/252 atk/252 spd
ability: rough skin
moves:
earthquake
fire blast
stone edge
dragon claw/outrage

Alright this is your standerd choice scarfed garchomp set (i think). it hits hard and outspeeds multiple threats. garchomp lures out things such as skarmory and ferrothorn and thats why i have fire blast on it. the rest is used for coverage. fire fang can be used over fire blast but its fairly weak.

magnezone Choice Specs
nature: modest/timid
evs: 4 hp/252 sp.a/252 spd
ability: magnet pull
moves:
volt switch
thunderbolt
hidden power fire/ice
flash cannon

this is a great pokemon that helps in taking out pesky steel types that will try to ruin garchomps outrage. used with garchomp you can switch out when a steel type comes out and then hit them with a hidden power fire. the rest of mags moves hit like a small truck and volt switch is to have some mommentum. Flash cannon is used for hitting fairries.

clefable Leftovers
nature: bold
ability: unaware/magic guard
evs: 252 hp/252 def/ 4sp.a or 4 sp.d
moves:
stealth rocks
moon blast
heal bell
wish

Clefable acts as the team cleric as well as hazzard setter. This was the best set i could think of so... yeah. wish also helps keep the team alive.

possible teamates:
a mega
spesial defensive wall
mega mawhile?
a non dragon offensive mon

Because you manipulate the metal like Magneton, I have come to you for guidance of a new Hawlucha set that I am just waiting to break out:
_8407716_orig.gif

Hawlucha@no item
EV's: 252 Atk/200 Spe/56 HP
Trait: Limber
Jolly Nature
-Swords Dance
-High Jump Kick
-Acrobatics
-Stone Edge

As you can see, this shit is different from what you normally see. The reason why I run Limber is because there is a bigger need for Priority to compete this generation than there has ever been. Unburden boosts don't mean a damn thing when there are priority flying moves all over the place. Ice Shard is still a thing and Hawlucha takes hits worse than Blackbeard from One Piece so these priority hits are probably going to wind up killing it so the speed boost wouldn't mean shit anyway. It's fast as shit anyway why the fuck do people think it needs to run Unburden? Plus, Limber means Prankster T-wave from Thundurus won't have any effect on it so it can outspeed (which the EV's are tailored for) and OHKO with Stone Edge. I don't need to really go any further into explanation about the work Hawlucha can do, but what I want to point out is how it counters Mega Heracross. Now, time for its partner:

Raikou_XY.gif

Raikou@Assault Vest
EV's:252 SpA/252 Spe/4 Def
Trait: Pressure
Rash Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Volt Switch
-Hidden Power Ice
-Aura Sphere

Based on the usage stats of the non-trolls, this was Hawlucha's most popular partner and its most popular set. I'm sure I will receive hell for this but I gave it Aura Sphere so that it can actually damage Excadrill a decent amount since it wont have to worry about hitting Aegislash hard anymore. The other 3 moves shouldn't require explanation and Rash because Aura Sphere is event only. Assault Vest helps it tank major hits from special attackers. All the pokes lists as Raikou's counters were decimated by Hawlucha, except Mega Mawile but I mean...cmon now. I don't know a supporting cast that these two would fit well on and I figured the Based Lord himself would know exactly what to use in this situation. Thank in advance if you do take the time out of your life to build a team with these mons, but just remember, Hawlucha's set is set in stone, but you can do whatever the fuck you want with Raikou (replace him for all I give a fuck).
Yea i'm still waiting on seeing if you'll make a team around this duo or not. They are pretty different pokemon that don't see too much usage regardless of what part of OU we're talking.
