Set before you is a massive island that humans have long ago abandoned. Leaving from the helicopter you took here onto a vista, you look down and see a land shrouded in a thick poisonous mist. Directly in front of you is a thoroughly unappealing Swamp, which covers an expansive amount of land. You can see a Stream feeding into further up and to the right, in an area that appears to be under a constant, violent electrical storm. To the right a massive build-up of land forms a caldera around a huge lake of lava that is led into by a vast expanse of barren rock.

Scattered throughout the wreckage, you see some indications that humans once lived here but that a cataclysm had occurred. What little you can see through the tinted fog looks like deeply corroded ruins of civilisation. You turn your attention to the very far side of the island, behind the lake of lava. In the distance sits a massive tower that would at one point been a pillar of civilisation but now appears to be a massive tower of blackened soot, standing as a permanent reminder of the permanence of nothing but entropy. Humanity has abandoned this place, but rumours of legends still abound. You survey the pathways down from the Vista. Which place do you approach first?

Player Options
a) Enter Toxic Swamp.
b) Enter Amperage Stream.
c) Enter Molten Lake.
d) Enter Tower of Ash.
e) Leave Ruined Eden.

Jay: "Man this place really is a shit hole."
Jordan: "Sure, let's just get going, apparently we need multiple trips around here."
Maleficent: "Sooooo, which way are we going?"
Phantom: "Did you not pay attention during the debriefing meeting?"
Jay: "No need to be rude, that meeting was extraneous. We are headed to Toxic Swamp, because there is a Suicune with our names on it."

(a) Enter Toxic Swamp

Looking at the expanse of swamp directly in front of you, you decide that the path to take from the vista is to simply head into this expanse of swamp that is letting off thick poisonous mist, ready to search the mysteries of this near inhospitable expanse.

After a few seconds since passing the entrance, you knew that this was going to be tough, thanks to the poisonous air that permeates the whole swamp and it is not just light either; you are pretty much going to have to put up with it. Nevertheless you do as you try to acclimatise with the conditions, walking for a few more minutes before coming to a grove. Nothing seems particularly dangerous at a first glance as you look around the area. You walk a few steps into the grove when you start to hear rustling in the trees. You look around a bit feeling alert as a Tentacool popped out of the pool of water and a Trubbish fires out of the forest. The two block your path and make sure that you will have to do battle to get past. You better hope you are prepared.

Restrictions: None.

Combination Timers: 1 (Status), 2 (Damaging)

Description: The place where the first major battle takes place, the Murky Grove is the domain of the lackeys that watch out for this place. A pool of water exists nearby but the water—just like the air to an extent—is poisonous and using it could poison you and possibly those hit by it. It is not particularly bad here but the battle at this grove is a sign of things to come...

Mechanics:
  • Arena Type: Water's Edge (Produces Bubble Beam).
  • All non Water- and Poison-type Pokémon who use an attack that requires an external water source become Poisoned (or badly poisoned if they are already poisoned). All attacks used will have a 30% chance to poison stricken targets except in the case of Soak, which instead turns the target into a Water/Poison-type Pokémon for six (6) actions.

With the last of the lackeys caught you decide to take the time to tend to your team. At this point you find that there are two paths you can take at this point. From here, there is a path through the trees that leads into a forest that makes up the majority of the swamp. There is also a path devoid of trees besides those lining the trees that gives you a possible direction to take but there seems to be lots of pools of water as poisonous as the water in this area that pretty much seem to be the main feature of this unappealing swamp. What do you do?

Player Options
a) Enter the forest.
b) Take the path by the water.

jayelt413

Feeling like the unknowns of the forest is not to your liking, you decide that the best path to take is through the swamplands. You better hope you have made the right decision.

Toxic Swamp - Poisonous Pool

Walking along the road, you come to a rather wide section of the swamp which has two very long logs going along it halfway. There is also a sack of items in the middle which can make your time worthwhile. There is also a route around the pool which seems to be really safe. What do you do?

Player Options
a) Cross the lake on the logs.
b) Take the long way around.

jayelt413

Yes there is no point trying to risk getting fatally poisoned by walking across some unstable logs so you do the sane thing and walk around the late and deeper into the swamp...

Toxic Swamp - Toxic Vista

After another bout of walking in putrid conditions, you come to an area that strongly resembles a vista... Well it used to, but the corruption the smog has brought has undoubtedly ruined the view though a bit of beauty remains in this wasteland. You could approach the edge of the vista where there is poisoned water below, or you can just move on. What do you do?

Player Options
a) Approach the edge of the vista.
b) Continue on your current path.

jayelt413

There is nothing bad with taking a bit of a break and enjoying whatever beauty this place has left so you approach the vista. After looking around, you decide enough is enough and move on. Eventually you find an Ether lying on the ground. You could pick it up but it could also be a trap. What do you do?

Player Options
a) Pick up the Ether.
b) Continue on your current path.

stop following me :>

Ethers are really good for restoring energy so you pick up the Ether and store it in your bag. You then look up only to see a Swalot blocking your path. Two Gulpin come out from behind you and prevent your escape. This could only mean one thing...

Restrictions: None.
