Introduction
The World's Longest Other Tier Tournament is inspired by The World's Longest OU Tournament, which is inspired by the Smogon Premier League Farm League. Just like these other two tournaments, players will be primarily matched according to their win records in a certain tier, based on previous weeks. If only one player has a certain record, they will be grouped with players of the closest similar record. Pairings will be randomized. A thread will be created for each weeks matches, and these matches will be best of 1.Similarly to the OU counterpart, this tournament could go on indefinitely. Cycles
Records will be reset every 6 or 7 weeks, i.e. at the start of every hosting cycle, to allow for plenty of different pairings. Overall and yearly (8 cycle) records, which ignore this reset, will be retained in a spreadsheet however. Hosts will mostly host one regular cycle per year.Cycle 1 starts Monday, 14th of November.

Decisions
Very limited decision making will take place. No activity wins or wins by default will be awarded. Matches will only be replayed if they don't progress from turn 0, if they end in a tie, or at your opponent's discretion.Joining
To join, simply specify the tiers (ORAS Ubers | ORAS UU | ORAS RU | ORAS NU | ORAS PU | ORAS LC | ORAS Doubles) you wish to compete in, in this thread. There are two times per week you can get entered into the tournament – at the start of each week (e.g. Sunday), and midweek (e.g. Wednesday). You'll either be paired into a new match or replace a player that has quit. You may post to add tiers in this thread also.
Signing-out
To sign out of this tournament, post in the sign outs thread, where you can also state tiers you wish to drop. If your match from the previous week is unplayed and you didn't post in that week's thread, you will be removed from the pairings for the current week and will have to sign up again for the next week.Rewards
Sadly, we will not be able to reward silver banners at the moment. Whether gold banners will be given out remains to be seen, however, do not count on it.
