Enchanted Meadow
Difficulty: Training
Prerequisites: None
Arena: All arenas in Enchanted Meadow have increased catch rates for Safari Balls

RP Path:
RP 1 --> Guardians --> RP 2 --> Boss

Enchanted Meadow. It's a beautiful rolling plains in Kalos, covered in a mix of flowers and grass. It's hard to believe that such a peaceful place could hold a great secret, but the locals have sworn that they've seen a very oddly coloured Floette recently arrive in the area, and with it a large number of Pokemon have made their home in the meadow. Locals also report that in the middle of the night, large beams of light have been striking the sky. You're not too convinced that this is anything more than a shiny Floette, but it would probably be a relaxing exploration, and so you decide to have a look on behalf of the villagers...

The path weaves it's way around, traversing the meadow easily. There's many types of flowers, a wide variety of colours. You're quite surprised when out of some particularly tall yellow flowers a Dedenne pops out! You're only a little more surprised when the Dedenne managed to tackle <Pokemon of Ref's Choice> a substantial distance away, and begins to Charge power in an ominous manner. You've no clue how something as physically weak as Dedenne managed to take <Pokemon> that far away from you either...

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap Encounter with Dedenne, initial move Charge (-7 EN). 2 Rounds until full trainer team joins. Arena: Berry Bushes

Ahead of you, you notice some sort of elegant display going on. A Kirlia dances for a small crowd whilst a Tropius rhythmically stomps the ground to create a beat, and interested, you head down towards the performance. However, your presence in the area seems to have dispersed the crowd, and the two performers are currently both giving you an angry glare, before they start throwing attacks at you - not your team, but you. Your mons move to protect you, but it seems like you need to patch your wounds up first.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Guardian Battle with Kirlia and Tropius. Arena: Natural Stage

You approach a pond, nestled underneath a Cherry Blossom tree, the petals floating on it. To the side, you see a Marill trying to feed a Lotad a pair of Wiki Berries, but it seems too weak to do anything. You could sacrifice some of your medical supplies to help the poor thing... that said, part of you sees that the Wiki Berries will itself be useful down the line...

Player Options:

a) Steal the Wiki Berries
b) Ignore the duo and carry on
c) Give Lotad 1 Potion
d) Give Lotad 2 Potions

IF "Steal the Wiki Berry"

You swipe the berry from Marill with no immediate problems, although the Lotad hits your team with an Icy Wind, whilst Marill tackles <Pokemon of Choice> with an Aqua Tail. You decide that's your hint to be gone. You terrible person.

[REF NOTE] Apply Icy Wind from R3 SpA to Active Player Team, and STAB Aqua Tail from R4 ATK to one Active Player Pokemon. Player gains 2 Wiki Berries

IF "Ignore the duo and carry on"

You attempt to walk past, but the scene is still a little distracting and lingers on your mind. So much so that you slip up on the petals underfoot and end up splashing into the pond beside you. Your Pokemon are able to pull you out, but that took the team a fair bit of energy to manage.

[REF NOTE] Combine the team's ATK values. Each team member loses EN equal to 25 - Combined Team ATK (Min 5 EN Lost).

IF "Give Lotad 1 Potion"

Whilst you can't afford to use all your healing materials on this Lotad, you can spare some. The spray bottle gives out a liquid that makes Lotad feel substantially better it seems. It then dives below the pond, before surfacing with a couple of items on it's back. You're surprised that the items have landed down there, but you take them before moving on.

[REF NOTE] Player loses 1 Potion. Player gains a Poison Gem, and a Cherish Ball

IF "Give Lotad 2 Potions"

You decide that kindness is a good virtue, and apply both your potions onto Lotad. It chrips happily, and the Marill gives a sigh of relief, before quickly darting off. However, it's not long before it comes back, carring what looks like an old backpack, very damaged. There's not much usable in it, but there seems to be a decent stockpile of Pokeballs.

[REF NOTE] Player loses 2 Potions. Player gains 3 Cherish Balls and 3 Safari Balls

You see a shrine at the top of the hill, and examine it. It seems to exert some form of energy, and as you approach it you see a Floette next to it. It holds onto a Black and Red flower, and indeed seems somewhat odd in colour. Fascinated, you approach, before it emits a huge beam of light, shooting right into the sky. It didn't seem to have to charge that, and you wonder what on earth that was... before a Sunflora also appears, in an attempt to guard the Floette. If you want to figure out what the mysterious power of this Floette is, this seems to be the final stand...

[REF NOTE] Initiate Boss Battle with Floette-E and Sunflora. Every 3 Rounds (Exclude Capture Rounds), starting round 3, spawn in 1 Horde Cottonee at the end of the round. Arena: Peaceful Shrine

A densely packed area of bushes, it seems impossible to move without managing to find a new berry. It's probably a good thing that these bushes are lacking in thorns though.

  • Pokemon with Cheek Pouch can swap a Berry they are holding for a new one at the start of a round when their controller orders first.
  • When the Berry of a Pokemon with Pickup is consumed or destroyed, the berry is recycled at the end of the round.
  • Natural Gift is a Special Attack

A natural stage, surrounded by logs to sit on. It seems that the stage is partially assisted with some Psychic-Type moves, presumably to help whoever performs on the stage. You feel everything slowly get heavier... it seems that the influence is limited, at least.

  • Physical Spread moves do not suffer spread move penalty.
  • The Levitate ability is negated.

This shrine, surrounds by flowers, emits a peaceful aura. It seems to emanate from the Shrine, but it's difficult to tell what's actually producing it.

  • Light of Ruin suffers no recoil damage.
  • Passive Damage (i.e. That protected by Magic Guard) is halved (Rounded up)
  • Grassy Terrain is the default terrain for the Boss's side of the field.
  • Gravity is permanently in effect.
  • If you're a fool who does not read the RP Data, a Cottonee Hordling spawns at the end of Rounds 3, 6, 9, etc.

Guardians: Kirlia, Tropius
Boss: Floette-E, Sunflora

Trap Pokemon: Dedenne, Clefairy
Horde Pokemon: Cottonee

Horde Pokemon have their max HP set to half. Horde pokemon deal 50% Damage from their attacks.

Your mons move to protect you, but it seems like you need to patch your wounds up first.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Guardian Battle with Kirlia and Tropius. Arena: Natural Stage

In these lush fields you're surprised to find a barren patch. It seems to surround a small stone, however as you get close to the stone a pink blob manages to cut you off, knocking you back before teleporting away with some sort of Cosmic Power. However, it seems like the blob managed to teleport <Pokemon with the lowest HP> away with it as well, and is currently getting Worked Up over the fact that it's having to deal with intruders.

Initiate Trap Encounter vs Clefairy, initial moves of Work Up [-7 EN] and Cosmic Power [-7 EN]. 2 Rounds until full trainer team joins. Arena: Barren Stone

You see a shrine at the top of the hill, and examine it. It seems to exert some form of energy, and as you approach it you see a Floette next to it. A stone that does not appear to match other natrual formations. It appears to be lunar in origin, but it's difficult to discern much else about the stone. Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to be doing anything at the moment...

  • Stat boosts do not decay if they are at +1
  • If Clefairy's Def or SpD stat boosts are at 0 at the end of the round, then Clefairy's Def and SpD Stat Boosts are increased by 1.
  • After 4 rounds, all Pokemon who would benefit from Moon Stone gain the benefits as if they were holding it.

This shrine, surrounds by flowers, emits a peaceful aura. It seems to emanate from the Shrine, but it's difficult to tell what's actually producing it.
