[To Defy the End Chapter 1] Starwarsfan and Waterwarrior

Chapter 1: In the Caves
While most trainers that come from the region of Smogon control their Pokémon, there is one exception: Walker, the Eternal Drifter. Missing for over half a year, search teams dried up, especially once he was spotted with a Natu in turn at a shopping mall, a cave, and a battlefield, all very briefly. But his state when others encountered him showed him to be deteriorating, and Demon Lord Itsumo is known to be chasing the trainer for his own reasons.
Which is why, when Walker was spotted in the caverns in Mt Coronet, that two trainers and their Pokémon were sent to try to bring him to safety back in the Smogon region.
However, with the general increase of hostility of Pokémon all around, the trainers had better be on their guard...

Mt Coronet: South Caves

Light streams in from the east entrance towards Oreburgh, and it is easy to see the pool of water on the northern end of the cavern. Across the pool is a slope with several footholds, leading upwards towards the legendary Spear Pillar. On the southern end of the room, however, is another slope, leading downwards, further into the earth, into darkness... but that's where Walker was seen, deeper in the earth.

Two figures approach the cave - a rather strange duo, truth be told. One cooly walks with confidence and grace, with stark blue skin, while the other wears a flowing blue robe and moves with careful deliberation of a honed expert. Their two Pokemon follow close behind, and together they delve into the darkness...

What do they do?

"Not much to do here but go down and see what awaits us... Houdin, Mega Evolve, and let's see what unfolds before us."

"Fine. Honestly, I'm not sure why we're even out here. Since when have you cared about this Walker person?"

Walk down the slope, with Houdin using Flash if we hear any sudden noises AND we can not see what is making it

"This is rather simple. We simply must follow Walker. And let's put a plan in place to make sure it doesn't get too dark!"
Go downwards, and use Flash if it gets too dark and houndin is not using flash.
 
Taking a few moments to plan in the relative safety of the known entryway, you both decide to approach the lower cavern. You climb down some fairly steep slopes and clamber over some rough terrain, but nothing too dangerous or serious yet. It seems to be an easy trip so far. As you get farther and farther from the entrance, the sunlight gets dimmer and dimmer. Pretty soon it will be too dark to see...

You turn a sharp corner in the narrow cave, and a high-pitched squeak echoes through the darkness. Startled by the noise, Houdin immediately releases a blinding flash of psychic energy, lighting up the cave but unfortunately everyone's eyes as well. When you become accustomed to the brighter surroundings, you see two frightened Clefairy cowering against the stone wall. They tremble and squeak some more, averting Houdin's terrifying gaze and looking towards the much more friendly Togekiss for help.

"Shh... Don't be scared little ones. We mean you no harm. Could you please show us the way through this cave?"
I slowly bend down and raise my hands in the air, showing I mean no harm.

(On phone, no sprite c/p)
"Really Warrior? Kinda low, even for you, bowing to those two... Ah well, I'll go along."
Houdin uses Captivate in an attempt to befriend the Clefairy
 
Thrawn kneels down and holds out a hand towards the Clefairy, while Warrior follows suit with a far less threatening posture. The Clefairy seem to be warming up at least a little, but the deal is sealed when Togekiss flits around elaborately drawing their attention. They only take a few careful steps towards the unusually fascinating Togekiss before she swoops down and nuzzles them affectionately.

Meanwhile, Houdin whirls his spoons around, using his psychic might and the convenient distraction to captivate the Clefairy and calm their fears. Completely under control, the two Clefairy are now very friendly towards you and your Pokemon.

As you get your bearings once again in the still psychically-lit cave, the two Clefairy begin tugging at your arms to move further into the earth. They certainly know their way around this cavern; it's probably best to pay attention to their reactions and "advice". What do you do?

Follow the Clefairy, but keep an eye out for danger.
 
Pointing and cheerfully jumping from rock to rock now that they have found some new friends, the two Clefairy show you the way down into the cavern. It's a good thing they decided to help you out, as there are quite a few treacherous looking rocks inconveniently strewn across the cave floor - much safer with some residents showing you around. After about ten minutes of walking, the cavern opens up.

Fortunately, Houdin's psychic gem is still glowing, so you can take a moment to look around. Most prominently, an ancient stone door blocks off further progress directly forward into the caves. Looks like somebody has been here before, even it was hundreds of years before. The door has a clear indentation of a cross and a pointed line engraved into it. Upon seeing the ancient door, the two Clefairy stick close to your legs and huddle in fear. Surrounded by thick rock walls, it looks unfeasible, but maybe possible, to dig around the door - if you want to progress, somehow you're going to have to open it.

Glancing around the open area some more, you find that the cave branches off to the east and west, leading into two more winding pathways. What do you do?

Join hands with Houdin and have Houdin use Teleport to take the group to the other side of the door
 
You all link hands, and Houdin begins focusing intensely. In a burst of psychic energy, you all suddenly disappear in the blink of an eye!

...and reappear right in front of the door, with zero progress made. It seems that you need to have visual contact of a teleport target, and you certainly can't see the other side of the door. The Clefairy look very confused before wandering around in the cavern, starting towards one of the side tunnels. What do you do?

Continue following the Clefairy
 
The Clefairy eagerly lead you down the western passage, urging you onward down the side path. Again, their cave navigational skills help you out quite a lot, but they suddenly stop without warning. Whether or not you are "mind controlling" them, it doesn't seem like they want to go any further. They blink, startled, and scurry back up towards the main space, not looking back for even a moment.

-no EN because Clefairy help you, but they are gone now :(

Left on your own, you take a quick look around at this new cave. It opens up into another wide cavern, with stalactites and other calcium decorations adorning the ceiling. They seem to glow softly with the single light from Houdin's gem. However, something else is reflecting off of Houdin's gem - an underground lake! You hear quiet splashes and a bit of trickling water, and see some erratic movements along the water's surface. Most prominently, the water here is so cystal clear, you can see a glint of metal on the lake bottom even in the dim lighting. What do you do?

Carefully approaching the underground lake, you stop just before the edge of the surface, cute little underground waves lapping up against the underground rocky beach.

-2 EN everybody

Peering into the water, attempting to get a better look at the glint of metal on the lakefloor, a sudden rush of red catches your eye - and then another - and another! Houndin leans in closer, shining his light on the red forms, and reveals them to be a bunch of Magikarp. They swim lazily and carefree through the crystal clear waters. One rises up above the surface of the water as if to greet you, gasping for oxygen and looking at you with wide, slick eyes. They don't seem aggressive, for now... What do you do?

Warrior uses Telekinesis and Houdin uses Psychic to try to lift the metal object and bring it to us
 
Houdin and Togekiss close their eyes and concentrate on the metal object on the lake floor. Together with the efforts of Thrawn and Warrior lending their mind-help, it shoots out of the water rapidly with your extreme overpowering mental might and lands with a clatter on the stones in front of you. The Magikarp, previously looking in awe at the visitors to their lake, are startled and swim away deeper in the water.

Shaking off your focus, you take a moment to examine the object you have just rescued from the dangerous clutches of rust. It is quite clearly the blade of some sort of ancient and probably important sword - it shimmers in Houdin's light even though it has abandoned for who knows how long! You remember a similarly shaped hole in that door earlier...what do you do?

Turning around, the sword blade very delicately in hand, you make your way back up to the way main cavern, with the mysterious ancient door. Upon arrival, you find your two best friends the mind-controlled Clefairy playing in the darkness. They eagerly run over towards you and give you all a big small-armed hug. How adorable. Taking a closer look at the hole in the door, you see that the indent is definitely sword-shaped. What do you do?
