Dragon Dance bolsters Mega Tyranitar's Attack and Speed, allowing it to overpower its competition while outrunning up to Mewtwo at +1. Stone Edge is its best STAB move against most of the Uber tier to hit threats such as Ho-Oh, Yveltal, and Mega Salamence. After Mega Tyranitar sets up a single Dragon Dance, the majority of Pokemon that take neutral damage from Stone Edge suffer either an OHKO or a 2HKO. Earthquake complements Stone Edge by nailing threats such as Primal Groudon, Dialga, Mega Diancie, Rock Arceus, and other Tyranitar while offering an accurate option to take out weakened threats that aren't immune to it. Crunch is primarily meant to tear through offensive teams while offering a powerful yet accurate move to fall back on; it notably hits the majority of Psychic- and Ghost-types for super effective damage while being the best neutral attack versus Ferrothorn, Ground Arceus, and Mega Mewtwo X. Taunt is an optional move to use over Crunch to overcome defensive teams, severely crippling Pokemon such as Lugia, support Arceus, and Skarmory and thus allowing Mega Tyranitar to set up Dragon Dance safely. Low Kick is an optional move primarily for Ferrothorn and Normal Arceus; however, it can also be an effective method to bypass Shuca Berry Dialga and Tyranitar while still 2HKOing Ground Arceus and the rare Fighting Arceus at +1. Iron Tail is the last move to consider if only to hit the majority of Fairy-types such as Xerneas and Clefable.

Set Details
========
A Jolly nature with maximum Speed investment is necessary to outrun Mewtwo, Darkrai, and Shaymin-S at +1. After Mega Evolution, this leaves Mega Tyranitar at 265 Speed unboosted, which is enough to outrun most base 90s, Xerneas, and Yveltal. When Tyranitar Mega Evolves, remember that it is still at 243 Speed—just slow enough to be outrun by standard Xerneas, which can, after Stealth Rock, OHKO Mega Tyranitar with STAB Moonblast or Focus Blast. Mega Tyranitar's goal is to pick apart defensive cores that can otherwise hinder other offensive sweepers. Most defensive Pokemon such as Lugia, Giratina-O, and Yveltal will lose to Mega Tyranitar. Thanks to sand and Mega Evolution increasing Tyranitar's bulk, Mega Tyranitar can easily set up on threats such as Darkrai, Yveltal, Latios, Latias, and Dark Arceus. Mega Tyranitar can even be used to check potential threats such as Mega Salamence and Ghost Arceus; Mega Salamence fails to OHKO Mega Tyranitar with +1 Earthquake, while Mega Tyranitar scares Mega Salamence with STAB Stone Edge, and unboosted Ghost Arceus will fail to OHKO Mega Tyranitar in the sand with Brick Break or Focus Blast and will be taken down by a +1 Crunch. Aside from hindering Shuca Berry Dialga and Tyranitar, Unnerve is generally useless for an ability—the added benefit of normal Tyranitar having sand to bolster its Special Defense is too good to pass up.

Primal Groudon is the number-one Pokemon that can be seen as a stop to Mega Tyranitar. Support Groudon can OHKO Mega Tyranitar at least 37% of the time with Precipice Blades, while +1 Earthquake will 2HKO most Primal Groudon. A more risky approach is to invest 84 EVs into Defense. Provided Stealth Rock is not in play and Primal Groudon does not pack many Attack EVs, Mega Tyranitar can then survive Precipice Blades 100% of the time. This comes at a cost of some power and missing on 2HKOs on Pokemon such as Water Arceus.

Usage Tips
========
The biggest perk to using Dragon Dance Mega Tyranitar in Ubers is its resistance to the majority of priority in the tier. The only priority Mega Tyranitar has to worry about is STAB Bullet Punch from Mega Lucario and Mega Scizor, and Mega Tyranitar can easily stomach one Bullet Punch from either of these Pokemon. When Tyranitar switches in, it is recommended to Mega Evolve right away. The best options are Dragon Dance to put fear into the opponent's switch-in and STAB Stone Edge on potential switch-ins that can threaten Mega Tyranitar's sweep such as full-health Primal Groudon, Sableye that have yet to Mega Evolve, and Primal Kyogre. Taunt can sometimes be a safe option on potential switch-ins, as it can prevent status moves that could cripple Mega Tyranitar or moves that hinder Mega Tyranitar's sweep such as Roost and Whirlwind. After obtaining a Dragon Dance, Mega Tyranitar should use whatever move is necessary to beat its current foe. Remember that running Taunt or Crunch will slightly adjust Mega Tyranitar's playstyle and what Mega Tyranitar can set up on. Under certain circumstances, Mega Tyranitar can lead against Deoxys-S to limit Deoxys-S stacking entry hazards onto the field.

Team Options
========
Like most Pokemon on hyper offensive teams, Stealth Rock support is a must for Mega Tyranitar to guarantee 2HKOs on most Primal Groudon and Water Arceus while OHKOing Lugia with +1 Stone Edge. Primal Groudon can be used for this role because it can also use Swords Dance to get through potential problems such as Mega Sableye and will shut down Klefki and Primal Kyogre. Offensive Primal Groudon is a great partner, as it enjoys having Giratina-O and Lugia off the field. For other Stealth Rock users, Dialga is a fine alternative in situations that Primal Groudon wants to go for a more offensive route for its ability to pressure Mega Sableye with STAB Flash Cannon while also checking Primal Kyogre. Excadrill will not get as much fun in the sand with this particular Tyranitar; however, it can still be a great partner in instances where Xerneas can get out of control and Mega Tyranitar may need to be sacrificed. Excadrill can also help keep Stealth Rock off the field as well as denting some of the problematic Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, Shuca Berry Dialga, and Shuca Berry Tyranitar with STAB Earthquake while holding an Air Balloon. One of the best offensive partners is Xerneas, as Xerneas and Mega Tyranitar will likely overpower most stall teams while having a guaranteed win against Darkrai. Aromatherapy just adds to Xerneas's great relationship with Mega Tyranitar, as it can clear nasty status effects that Mega Tyranitar might have taken in the heat of battle while switching into attacks such as Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire. Ho-Oh can be a great teammate, as it scorches Ferrothorn and Fairy Arceus while checking Xerneas. Primal Kyogre is an interesting partner for Mega Tyranitar, as it can beat Primal Groudon and Mega Sableye in exchange for Mega Tyranitar eliminating Latios and Latias. Finally, Giratina-O makes for a good teammate because it can hamper Swords Dance Ground Arceus and other potential threats such as Mega Blaziken.

Other Options
=============
Aqua Tail can be used over Crunch to 2HKO most Ground Arceus switch-ins while bypassing Shuca Berry on Tyranitar, but the sacrifice of Crunch or Taunt is not worth using Aqua Tail in most instances.

Checks and Counters
============
**Xerneas**: Xerneas survives any attack and can deal heavy damage with Moonblast or OHKO Mega Tyranitar with Focus Blast. It can also set up Geomancy if Tyranitar lacks Taunt. However, even unboosted Mega Tyranitar 2HKOes Xerneas with STAB Stone Edge. Bear in mind prior to Mega Evolution and on the turn Tyranitar is Mega Evolving Xerneas is actually faster than Tyranitar.

**Ground Arceus**: Tyranitar can 2HKO Ground Arceus with +1 Crunch, but Arceus easily 2HKOes back and can come in on any other move easily.

**Primal Groudon**: Primal Groudon OHKOes Tyranitar with Precipice Blades and is capable of surviving a boosted Earthquake.

**Primal Kyogre**: Offensive Primal Kyogre hates taking any attack but will easily OHKO in return. Defensive variants can shrug off two Stone Edges and KO Tyranitar with Scald or Waterfall.

**Mega Mewtwo Y**: Mega Mewtwo Y outruns Mega Tyranitar even at +1 and can OHKO it with Focus Blast. Mega Mewtwo Y is only a check, however, as it will be KOed by Crunch and takes a tremendous amount of damage from STAB Stone Edge.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types can threaten Mega Tyranitar with their appropriate STAB Fighting-type move. Mega Mewtwo X can take a boosted Crunch and OHKO back with STAB Low Kick. Mega Lucario cannot switch into Earthquake reliably; however, it can revenge kill Mega Tyranitar with STAB Bullet Punch or force out Mega Tyranitar if it hasn't used Dragon Dance. Mega Blaziken can use Speed Boost and Protect to potentially be faster than Tyranitar while OHKOing back with STAB Low Kick. Mega Lopunny can outrun a boosted Mega Tyranitar and OHKO it with STAB Low Kick or High Jump Kick. Finally, though a rarity in Ubers, Fighting Arceus can take a boosted Earthquake or Low Kick and threaten Tyranitar with STAB Judgment.

**Deoxys-A**: Deoxys-A is in similar boat to Mega Mewtwo Y—itoutruns Mega Tyranitar even at +1 and can OHKO with Low Kick or Superpower.

**Excadrill**: Excadrill outruns +1 Mega Tyranitar thanks to Sand Rush and can OHKO with a Life Orb-boosted Earthquake; Air Balloon Excadrill can easily shrug off STAB Stone Edge and can withstand a STAB Crunch. Remember that when Tyranitar is boosted and sand is cleared, Excadrill is slower than Mega Tyranitar.

**Dialga**: With a Shuca Berry, Dialga can take an Earthquake and heavily damage Mega Tyranitar with STAB Flash Cannon. Bear in mind that Dialga is 2HKOed by +1 Earthquake and will not OHKO Mega Tyranitar with STAB Flash Cannon unless sand is out of play.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar with a Shuca Berry will withstand +1 Earthquake and OHKO Mega Tyranitar with Low Kick. If Low Kick is absent, defensive Tyranitar can cripple Dragon Dance Tyranitar with Thunder Wave or phaze it with Roar. Bear in mind that Taunt can cripple Tyranitar lacking Low Kick.

**Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Jirachi can outrun +1 Mega Tyranitar and threaten it with STAB Earthquake or STAB Iron Head. Choice Scarf Genesect can revenge kill with Iron Head or U-turn, but a +1 Stone Edge will OHKO it

- DD for sweeping and outruns everything up to Mewtwo at +1. Stone Edge wrecks a lot of shit, including Salamence, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Kyogre, Yveltal, Rayquaza and other Flying dudes.

252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 166-196 (43.4 - 51.3%) -- 59% chance to 2HKO after sandstorm damage
252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Salamence: 308-366 (93 - 110.5%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Primal Groudon: 129-153 (31.9 - 37.8%) -- 91.1% chance to 3HKO
+1 252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Arceus-Water: 193-228 (43.4 - 51.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and sandstorm damage

- Crunch eats Latias, Latios, Mewtwo, Lugia, Giratina-O, Ghost Arceus, Ferrothorn, Bronzong and is a good move to throw around thanks to reliability and good neutral coverage and 20% def drops. STAB Crunches are sexy and is your best move vs Ground Arceus. You survive an EQ and 2HKO back with +1 Crunch.
- Earthquake cause Primal Groudon is the #1 common switch in. You outrun Support PDon and 2HKO it after rocks. Also punishes Diancie, Tyranitar, Blaziken, Lucario, Dialga and most Steel-types.
- Taunt breaks Defensive teams and can be used over Crunch. It blocks status from Support Arceus and phazing from Lugia. It allows Tyranitar to break past otherwise would be checks such as Will-o-Wisp Dragon Arceus or Ice Beam Water Arceus.
- Low Kick can be used to OHKO opposing Tyranitar and OHKO Arceus and Dialga at +1 but is useless otherwise.

Set Details
========

-Mega Tyranitar beats most Defensive Pokemon such as Giratina-O and Lugia. STAB Stone Edge means Salamence will think twice about switching in.
- Has huge bulk even with no Def investment. You setup all over Darkrai, Yveltal and Mewtwo lacking Focus Blast. Darkceus is a free lunch. Grab a DD vs Ghostceus and OHKO it with +1 Crunch. Switch in on Latias and friends. Pair with things that enjoy PDon and Lugia weakened such as Xerneas or you own PDon.
- Resists priority except for the rare Bullet Punch. Lucario isn't coming in on Earthquake. You survive Bullet Punch anyway.

4 Atk Primal Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Tyranitar: 306-360 (89.7 - 105.5%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Arceus-Ghost Brick Break vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Tyranitar: 220-260 (64.5 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
208+ Atk Life Orb Ho-Oh Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Tyranitar: 213-252 (62.4 - 73.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Arceus-Ghost Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Tyranitar in Sand: 232-276 (68 - 80.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Usage Tips
========
- You need max Speed to outrun Mewtwo, Darkrai and Shaymin-S at +1.
- Reaches 265 Speed, enough to get the jump on most base 90s, Xerneas and Yveltal. On the mega evolution, turn you are stuck at 244 Speed so keep that in mind.
- Grab a DD when you get a chance and start wrecking stuff. Checks Mega Salamence as well, you survive a +1 EQ after rocks.
- Spam Stone Edge when you are not sure what is coming in, PDon doesn't resist that move! Primal Kyogre hates it as well and Defensive variants has to take 2 hits before they can retaliate.
- Crunch or Taunt beats walls.
- Play carefully around Mega Sableye, because that thing halts you as long as it isn't Mega yet. Burns own you, paralysis stops you so keep those in mind. EQ makes Klefki think twice before coming in.
- In fairness if Tyranitar gets +1 on PDon, it can beat PDon one-on-one. If you want to go for the absolute ballsy route you can try for 84 Def EVs. Provided no SR is in play it will survive a Support PDon's Precipice Blades and still 2HKO PDon with +1 Earthquake. Bear in mind it is risky but plausible.eats Arceus-Dark. Also pwns Rayquaza and Excadrill one-on-one.
- You can lead with Mega TTar vs Deoxys-S, Care Superpower on Deoxys-A though!
- Passive damage from Sand damage lets Tyranitar 2HKO some Arceus formes.
- The only reason to use Unnerve over Sand Stream is for Shuca Berry Dialga and Tyranitar. Outside of that fear Sand Stream is superior to increase regular Tyranitar's bulk
- Iron Tail nails Xerneas, Fairy Arceus and Clefable
252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Iron Tail vs. 184 HP / 28 Def Xerneas: 262-310 (59.6 - 70.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage

Team Options
========

- Stealth Rock support is almost mandatory, you need the chip damage to score the guaranteed 2HKO on PDon and OHKO on Lugia with +1 Stone Edge. With rocks, +1 Stone Edge 2HKOes Water Arceus as well while Judgment will never OHKO you back.
- Primal Groudon makes a great partner, counters Klefki and PKyogre, enjoys Lugia gone, and loves Giratina-O dead. Also it is immune to burn and paralysis.
- Dialga is fine if you want a SR user which pressures Mega Sableye and you want a more Offensive PDon partner.
- Excadrill is unfortunately not a good partner for this set, TTar uses most of the sand turns by itself. It can check Xerneas however. Sacking Tyranitar so that Excadrill can revenge kill Xerneas can be a last resort.
- Ho-Oh stomps Ferrothorn and Fairyceus, checks Xerneas. All of which are annoying for this set.
- Xerneas beats Sableye easily. Xerneas + Tyranitar lets you beat any Darkrai set. Xerneas can also use Aromatherapy and loves PDon weakened to the point where it no longer checks a +2 Xerneas.
- Primal Kyogre lets you force out Primal Groudon and Mega Sableye and it loves PDon weakened by Tyranitar. Tyranitar also sets up on Lati twins.
- Vanilla Groudon is extinct, a dream come true for our Dinosaur. Sadly Ground Arceus exists. Pair it with Ground Arceus counters, Giratina-O is a good teammate. Primal Kyogre can check that too.

Checks & Counters
Xerneas - Xerneas survives any attack and can deal heavy damage with Moonblast or OHKO with Focus Blast. It can also set up Geomancy if Tyranitar lacks Taunt. However, Stone Edge is a 2HKO.

Ground Arceus - Tyranitar can 2HKO Ground Arceus with +1 Crunch but Arceus easily 2HKOes back and can come in on any other move easily.

Primal Groudon - Primal Groudon OHKOes Tyranitar with Precipice Blades and is capable of surviving a boosted Earthquake.

Primal Kyogre (especially defensive) - Offensive Primal Kyogre hates taking any attack but will easily OHKO in return. Defensive variants can shrug off 2 Stone Edges and KO Tyranitar with Scald.

Mega Mewtwo Y - can outspeed Tyranitar even at +1 and OHKO with Focus Blast. Crunch will OHKO so Mewtwo is only a revenge killer.

Fighting-types - Fighting-types can threaten Tyranitar off with their appropriate STAB Fighting-type move. Mega Mewtwo X can take a boosted Crunch and OHKO back with STAB Low Kick. Mega Lucario cannot switch into Earthquake reliably; however, it can revenge kill Tyranitar with STAB Bullet Punch or force out Tyranitar if it hasn't used Dragon Dance. Mega Blaziken can use Speed Boost and Protect to potentially be faster than Tyranitar while OHKOing back with STAB Low Kick. Finally, though a rarity in Ubers, Arceus-Fighting can take a boosted Earthquake or Low Kick and threaten Tyranitar with STAB Judgment.

Deoxys-A - similar case with Mega Mewtwo Y, outruns you even at +1 and OHKO with Low Kick/Superpower.

Excadrill - outruns you thanks to Sand Rush and OHKO with Earthquake but it needs Life Orb to OHKO.

Shuca Dialga - can take EQ and deal with a lot of damage with Flash Cannon although it does not OHKO and 2 Earthquakes will smash it.

Shuca TTar - can take EQ and OHKO with Low Kick or Thunder Wave. However, Taunt can block Thunder Wave and Stone Edge from Mega Tyranitar is a 2HKO after rocks.

Scarf users - Scarf Genesect can revenge kill with Iron Head or U-turn but a +1 Stone
Edge will OHKO.

Merged Fighting-types (Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Lucario, Mega Blaziken, Mega Lopunny, and Arceus-Fighting) into the Checks and Counters. Also removed Gyarados (*sadface*) and Physically Defensive Clefable from C&C.

This is ready for its 3rd QC check.

Also Nayrz this is relevant:

10:29:00 PM Colonel_M Nayrz was talking about discussing defensive Mega TTar to add as well
10:29:33 PM Colonel_M ill just clump it with the current write-up if you want (just add another set)
10:30:22 PM Fireburn do a separate writeup for it imo
10:30:24 PM Fireburn focus on one at a time
10:30:29 PM Colonel_M ok
10:30:38 PM Colonel_M ill have nayrz post it in the thread but
10:30:45 PM Colonel_M if someone that is more skilled with the set wants to call it
10:30:47 PM Colonel_M write it
10:30:49 PM Colonel_M gdi not call it
10:30:52 PM Colonel_M feel free to toss it to them
10:33:07 PM Fireburn k
tl;dr we can do a separate write-up for Defensive Mega TTar. I can take this, though I have little experience using it so I might have to actually use the set a bit to write-up the set. If approved by QC and confidence is not in my favor others can write it up.

Just a couple nitpicks: Jolly Ttar actually hits 243 speed, not 244 (according to the calc anyway, might wanna double check) and when you say beware of being stuck at this speed, explain why. Biggest problem there is that standard GeoXern sits at 245 speed before boosts, so you are prone to eating a Moonblast or Focus Blast - something that a fully offensive Tyranitar dies to:
252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 306-360 (89.7 - 105.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Xerneas Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Tyranitar in Sand: 332-392 (97.3 - 114.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

In other words sitting in front of Xerneas is suicide (and you can't Taunt it on the first turn!)

I don't think Scarf users are viable enough to warrant a c&c mention these days, or at least not Genesect. The only usable(?) ones are Lando-T and Jirachi, and they pose more of a problem regardless whether or not Genesect is viable. Add those two and i guess you could keep Genesect in there for the purposes of completion.

Oh and before sending this to GP, make sure the checks and counters has the correct layout. GP will love you. I'll take the first one as an example to show what i mean:
Checks & Counters
Xerneas - Xerneas survives any attack and can deal heavy damage with Moonblast or OHKO with Focus Blast. It can also set up Geomancy if Tyranitar lacks Taunt. However, Stone Edge is a 2HKO.

Double check the analysis format too - the [STRATEGY COMMENTS] part is also missing. You can find it here.

The rest of this is pretty good - implement these changes and consider this QC 3/3

Due to Genesect only being allowed in the Uber tier I just decided to keep it, but I did mention Scarf Landorus-T and Scarf Jirachi. I also made sure to emphasize that Tyranitar prior to Mega Evolution and during Mega Evolution turn will be slower than Xerneas. I also adjusted the tags... though I'm still super curious on why I did the Checks / Counters and Other Options. @_@ I digress.

This is ready for GP checks.

The Dutch Plumberjack I will edit these in later today. Thank you for gp check.

**Ground Arceus**: Tyranitar can 2HKO Ground Arceus with +1 Crunch but Arceus easily 2HKOes back and can come in on any other move easily.

**Primal Groudon**: Primal Groudon OHKOes Tyranitar with Precipice Blades and is capable of surviving a boosted Earthquake.

**Primal Kyogre**: Offensive Primal Kyogre hates taking any attack but will easily OHKO in return. Defensive variants can shrug off 2 two Stone Edges and KO Tyranitar with Scald or Waterfall.

**Mega Mewtwo Y**: Mega Mewtwo Y outruns Tyranitar even at +1 and can OHKO it with Focus Blast. Mega Mewtwo Y is only a check, (AC) however, (AC) as it will die to Crunch and takes a tremendous amount of damage from STAB Stone Edge.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types can threaten Mega Tyranitar off with their appropriate STAB Fighting-type move. Finally, though a rarity in Ubers, Fighting Arceus-Fighting can take a boosted Earthquake or Low Kick and threaten Tyranitar with STAB Judgment.

**Deoxys-A**: Deoxys-A is in similar case boat with Mega Mewtwo Y—itoutruns Mega Tyranitar even at +1 and can OHKO with Low Kick or Superpower.

**Excadrill**: Excadrill outruns +1 Mega Tyranitar thanks to Sand Rush and can OHKO with a Life Orb-boosted Earthquake; however, Excadrill needs Life Orb to guarantee a OHKO with Earthquake. Air Balloon Excadrill can easily shrug off STAB Stone Edge and can withstand a STAB Crunch. Remember that when Tyranitar is boosted and sand is cleared, (AC) Excadrill is slower than Mega Tyranitar.

**Dialga**: With a Shuca Berry, (AC) Dialga can take an Earthquake and heavily damage Mega Tyranitar with STAB Flash Cannon. Bear in mind that Dialga suffers a 2HKO from is 2HKOed by +1 Earthquake while Dialga will not OHKO Mega Tyranitar with STAB Flash Cannon unless sand is out of play.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar with a Shuca Berry will withstand +1 Earthquake and OHKO Mega Tyranitar with Low Kick. If Low Kick is absent, defensive Tyranitar can cripple Dragon Dance Tyranitar with Thunder Wave or phase it out phaze it once with Roar. Bear in mind that Taunt can cripple Tyranitar lacking Low Kick. (AP)

**Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Jirachi can outrun +1 Mega Tyranitar and threaten Mega Tyranitar it with STAB Earthquake or STAB Iron Head. Choice Scarf Genesect can revenge kill with Iron Head or U-turn, (AC) but a +1 Stone Edge will OHKO.

I believe I corrected the curly apostrophes (last time I think I just did it in Notepad). Little rusty on writing these up, so thanks for bearing with the GP check. Feel free to tell me if it was a train wreck.

Awaiting #2.

Set Details
========
Mega Tyranitar can even be used to check potential threats such as Mega Salamence and Ghost Arceus-Ghost; Mega Salamence fails to OHKO Mega Tyranitar with +1 Earthquake, (AC) while Mega Tyranitar scares Mega Salamence with STAB Stone Edge, and unboosted Ghost Arceus will fail to OHKO Mega Tyranitar in the sand with Brick Break and or Focus Blast and will be taken down by while fainting to a +1 Crunch. Aside from hindering Shuca Berry Dialga and Tyranitar, Unnerve is generally useless for an ability—the added benefit of having normal Tyranitar having sand to bolster its Special Defense is too good to pass up.

Usage Tips
========

========
Offensive Primal Groudon is a great partner, (AC) as it enjoys having Giratina-O and Lugia off the field. For other Stealth Rock users, Dialga is a fine alternative in situations that Primal Groudon wants to go for a more offensive route for its ability to pressure Mega Sableye with STAB Flash Cannon while also checking Primal Kyogre. Excadrill will not get as much fun in the sand with this particular Tyranitar; however, it can still be a great partner in instances where Xerneas can get out of control and Mega Tyranitar may need to be sacrificed sacked. Excadrill can also help keep Stealth Rock off the field as well as denting some of the problematic Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, Shuca Berry Dialga, and Shuca Berry Tyranitar with STAB Earthquake while holding an Air Balloon. One of the best offensive partners is Xerneas, (AC) (keep comma but remove comment) as Xerneas and Mega Tyranitar will likely overpower most stall teams while having a guaranteed win against Darkrai.

=============
Aqua Tail can be used over Crunch to 2HKO most Ground Arceus switch-ins while bypassing Shuca Berry on Tyranitar, but the sacrifice of Crunch or Taunt is not worth using Aqua Tail in most instances.

Checks and Counters
============

**Ground Arceus**: Tyranitar can 2HKO Ground Arceus with +1 Crunch, (AC) but Arceus easily 2HKOes back and can come in on any other move easily.

**Mega Mewtwo Y**: Mega Mewtwo Y outruns (Mega?) Tyranitar even at +1 and can OHKO it with Focus Blast. Mega Mewtwo Y is only a check, however, as it will be KOed by die to Crunch and takes a tremendous amount of damage from STAB Stone Edge.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types can threaten Mega Tyranitar off with their appropriate STAB Fighting-type move.

**Deoxys-A**: Deoxys-A is in similar boat with to Mega Mewtwo Y—itoutruns Mega Tyranitar even at +1 and can OHKO with Low Kick or Superpower.

Bear in mind that Dialga is 2HKOed by +1 Earthquake and while Dialga will not OHKO Mega Tyranitar with STAB Flash Cannon unless sand is out of play.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar with a Shuca Berry will withstand +1 Earthquake and OHKO Mega Tyranitar with Low Kick. If Low Kick is absent, defensive Tyranitar can cripple Dragon Dance Tyranitar with Thunder Wave or phaze it once (is "once" important?) with Roar.

Choice Scarf Genesect can revenge kill with Iron Head or U-turn, but a +1 Stone Edge will OHKO it.
