VGC Data Spreadsheet

Started this spreadsheet a while back and kept updating it but never really publicized it. It's got the usage stats and the movement in them, and a type chart of all the mons that have been used over 1% of the time on any given week on the Skarmbliss server. Dr. Fidget has been adding a ton of info to it over the last two days and it's looking better than ever!

Feel free to check it out, reference it, etc, it's there for your benefit. I plan on adding a few more things (such as all fully evolved mons, common attack types, best BSTs, etc), if you really want something on there though post it here.

Also if you have any other ideas let me know, I want to add as much as I can to the sheet!

Also, djbeardo made this awesome graph from the usage stats, feel free to view it!

(Note that you need the link to access the spreadsheet on Google Docs)

Neat! if it isn't already possible and I cannot find it, a list from each individual week of the top 50 would be helpful.

I'll post that on another tab, good idea. There hasn't been an update since mid-January so I can't really keep it consistent, but I'll use what's out there.

Yay, stat porn! Added a bunch of stats and charts. Including pie charts to show how centralized this year is compared to 2011 and 2010.

ZachDro - awesome work man! I do love me some data.

I plugged it into a web data visualization service and came up with this:

http://public.tableausoftware.com/views/PokemonVGC2012/Sheet1?:embed=y

You can change the sliders/check the boxes to isolate individual pokemon. You can also select with your mouse. Double click on an area to zoom in (and hit the home button in the top left to go back to the original view).

The far right item is a % change which shows the absolute change from December 11 to January 15. I thought it was kinda fun to see which ones got more/less popular over time.

I'm in the middle of adding a bunch of lesser used Pokemon, hopefully should have everything important by tomorrow.

Awesome DJ, thanks for doing that! I'll link it in the OP.

Thank Fidget for his work, he's doing most of the heavy lifting.

I'll get that top 50 list up tomorrow Drifblim. Got too much stuff to do tonight, dat college.

(Also Fidget, I need to figure out how to let you edit the base document, send me your username again on GoogleDocs)
