Project Victim of the Week

feraligatr.gif

Role: Counter

Feraligator @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Att / 4 Def / 252 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Punch

So your opponent sends out Gliscor which will force a switch cause your mom can't handle him so you switch to Feraligator. The opponent knows you'll switch so (s)he uses SD to get ready. Next turn Gliscor hits you with an EQ (although most people would have the sense to switch):
+2 0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Feraligatr: 205-243 (65.9 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

From here you can either one shot them with an Ice Punch:
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Feraligator Ice Punch vs. 248 HP / 112+ Def Gliscor: 359-426 (101.6 - 120.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Or set up with a DD then go first next turn and take them out with Ice Punch or Waterfall:
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Feraligatr Waterfall vs. 248 HP / 112+ Def Gliscor: 429-507 (121.5 - 143.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Personally I'd use a DD.

Name: Slowbro
Status: Counter

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off

Mega Slowbro laughs at anything Gliscor can do and can 2HKO back with Scald. Slack Off heals up Mega Slowbro in an emergency although you can even take 2 +4 Earthquake.

+4 0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 160-189 (40.6 - 47.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 54-64 (13.7 - 16.2%) -- possible 7HKO
0 SpA Mega Slowbro Scald vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gliscor: 272-324 (77 - 91.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal

Role: Check

mamo is a great check for Gliscor, having ice as stab move, also you can come in and take an earthquake without suffering too

calcs:
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 124-147 (34.5 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
244 Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 56+ Def Gliscor: 520-614 (146.8 - 173.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Oops... with how much work I had this week I guess I forgot to start voting. Once King Sun and KidMagic finish their nominations, or by 9 PM EST today (whichever comes first) I'll start the voting process, which will end either tomorrow or Sunday, depending on how many votes we get. Thanks guys for understanding :)

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 SpD
Calm Nature
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Recover
- Toxic

Switch in, take any hit easily even at +2, OHKO back with Ice Beam
+2 0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 204 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 121-144 (32.4 - 38.6%) -- 98.4% chance to 3HKO
0 SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gliscor: 340-404 (96.3 - 114.4%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 220 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonlight
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave

Switch in, take two +2 Stone Edges without any problems and 2hko with Ice Beam
+2 0 Atk Gliscor Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Cresselia: 113-134 (25.5 - 30.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
0 SpA Cresselia Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gliscor: 260-308 (73.6 - 87.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Worst case scenario is facing a +2 Gliscor at full health because in that situation Hydro Pump won't OHKO. Any prior damage on Gliscor makes it vulnerable to Hydro Pump. +2 Stone Edge only does 37% max in return

+2 0 Atk Gliscor Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-W: 95-112 (31.3 - 36.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gliscor: 314-372 (88.9 - 105.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO

Thanks for all the nominations guys!!!

Chansey as a Counter

chansey.gif

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 12 HP / 248 Def / 248 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell / Wish

As long as Hydreigon doesn't run Superpower and a Mild/Rash nature, Chansey easily eats up any of its moves and can Toxic it back in return to slowly wear Hydreigon down to its inevitable and painful death. Furthermore, Chansey has access to Soft-Boiled to regain half of its health back. Also, if Hydreigon doesn't carry Roost, it becomes even easier for Chansey as it'll simply have to click Seismic Toss three times to KO Hydreigon (after SR or one LO recoil, that is).
252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 152-179 (23.6 - 27.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and 3 layers of Spikes
252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 94-110 (14.6 - 17.1%) -- 68.8% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and 3 layers of Spikes
252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Fire Blast vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 86-101 (13.3 - 15.7%) -- 0% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and 3 layers of Spikes
252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. -2 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 302-356 (47 - 55.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Chansey Seismic Toss vs. 0 HP Hydreigon: 100-100 (30.7 - 30.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO (guaranteed 3HKO after SR or one LO recoil)

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind

Keldeo is free to switch into any attack Hydregion uses that isn't named Draco Meteor, everything doing under 40%. Keldeo is then able to outspeed and easily OHKO back with a Choice Specs Secret Sword. Can't stress enough that it gets OHKOed by Draco Meteor so definitely don't try switching in to that.
Scarf works the same way here.
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 452-534 (139 - 164.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo: 321-380 (99.3 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo: 99-117 (30.6 - 36.2%) -- 56.8% chance to 3HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo: 66-78 (20.4 - 24.1%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo: 91-107 (28.1 - 33.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

DROP_ALREADY (Sylveon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Hyper Voice
- Heal Bell / Calm Mind

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Sylveon: 146-174 (37 - 44.1%)
4 SpA Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice (Fairy) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hydreigon: 600-708 (184.6 - 217.8%)

Sylveon can take a Flash Cannon with or without hazard Damage, Wish / Protect back to full health, and Hyper Voice when it wants to OHKO the thing.

Check, please

conkeldurr.gif

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab

Conk can always switch in on a Dark Pulse or Flash Cannon, survive a Draco, and recover the damage through Drain Punch. If Hydreigon survives against a 75% KO chance, Mach Punch finishes it off.

If Rocks are up, Conk has avoid two high rolls on Flash Cannon and Draco Meteor to survive.

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 208-246 (59.2 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 64-75 (18.2 - 21.3%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 86-101 (24.5 - 28.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 117-139 (33.3 - 39.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

-2 252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 103-122 (29.3 - 34.7%) -- 75.1% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 312-368 (96 - 113.2%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Frustration
- High Jump Kick
- Power-Up Punch / Ice Punch

Mega Lopunny can outspeed LO Hydreigon and OHKO it with a HJK. However Mega Lopunny can't switch into Hydreigon very well as it takes 40% from a Dark Pulse and is OHKO'd by a Draco Meteor.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Draco Meteor will never 2HKO, and neither will Superpower even if that's run. Meanwhile, Ice Beam 2HKOes, or you can ParaStall it with Wave + Recover. Overall, a solid counter.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

Tyranitar can survive any attack Hydreigon uses, outspeed and OHKO with Superpower. However, Flash Cannon and Draco Meteor hurts.
