Project Victim of the Week

Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wing Attack
- Stone Edge
- Fire Fang
- Pursuit

Defensively checking Choice Band Kyurem-B is nigh impossible to do with its incredibly power and Outrage just melting everything it comes in contact with. So Mega Aerodactyl is a good offensive check to it, as with only a little bit of prior damage it can KO Kyurem-B with Stone Edge if it hits.

252 Atk Mega Aerodactyl Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 338-398 (86.4 - 101.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

Name: Jirachi
Status: Check

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Fire Punch / Heart Stamp
- Healing Wish

While Kyube Steak can 2HKO Jirachi with Fusion Bolt, that's not enough to make up for the fact that Jirachi can outspeed Kyube and 2HKO back with Iron Head. Can't really switch in because if you do switch in on a Fusion Bolt, you have to rely on flinching to not get KO'd.

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jirachi: 219-258 (64.2 - 75.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 218-260 (55.7 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Plus, defensively countering this thing is p much impossible lol

Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Volt Switch / Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock

I guess most Cobalions in OU run a less defensive spread but this thing has very little offensive capability without SD anyway. A max defense spread makes it very unlikely for Kyu-B to 2HKO Cobalion on the switch:

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Cobalion: 131-154 (40.4 - 47.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Cobalion: 146-172 (45 - 53%) -- 8.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Better odds without SR up:

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Cobalion: 146-172 (45 - 53%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Cobalion vs Kyu-B:

0 Atk Cobalion Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 158-188 (40.4 - 48%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0 Atk Cobalion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 236-282 (60.3 - 72.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Cobalion will always KO with Iron Head + Close Combat (don't give yourself the Defense drop on the first attack!).

Not really a counter since it doesn't have reliable recovery but a pretty solid check

Specs Magnezone as a hard check.

Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

People really sleep on how bulky this thing is. I mean, here's why it's not a counter--
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Magnezone: 174-206 (50.7 - 60%)
--but still, pretty impressive. And it can actually switch into anything else, and obviously Specs Flash Cannon destroys the poor dragon.

Latios as Check

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Draco Meteor
- Defog

- Latios, it is probably one of the most common checks for Kyurem-B, which is ravaged by Draco meteor, also it can get on Kyurem when locked on iron head or fusion bolt, this provides a huge benefit to latios, because Kyurem loses coverage.

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem-B: 601-710 (153.7 - 181.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega Altaria as a CHECK

Mega-Altaria @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Return
- Earthquake
- Roost

M-Alt can switch on everything Kyu throws at it except Iron Head and OHKO back with a Pixilate-boosted Return.
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Altaria: 324-382 (111.3 - 131.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Altaria: 101-119 (34.7 - 40.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Pixilate Mega Altaria Return vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 422-500 (107.9 - 127.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

It can't switch in, but it easily OHKOs with High Jump Kick 'cause its a nuke, its boosted by STAB and its super effective.

252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 708-834 (181 - 213.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Atk / 96 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake / Zen Headbutt

Metagross can switch in on any of Kyurem-B's moves, then OHKO it with Meteor Mash when rocks are up.

However, Outrage and Fusion Bolt can 2HKO if hazards are up or the damage rolls are in Kyurem's favor, so switching in to them is somewhat risky

Offensive:
160+ Atk Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 312-368 (79.7 - 94.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

160+ Atk Metagross Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 47-56 (12 - 14.3%) -- possible 7HKO
160+ Atk Metagross Pursuit (80 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 93-110 (23.7 - 28.1%) -- 91.9% chance to 4HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Metagross: 70-83 (19.2 - 22.8%) -- possible 5HKO

Can't switch in, but Terrakion outspeeds Kyu-B and OHKOs it easily with Close Combat, making it a good offensive check.

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

- Reflect Type

Thanks to an insane Special Defense stat, Mega Latias is not even 3HKO'd by Volcanion's STAB or coverage moves. In return, Mega Latias can simply 2HKO in return with Thudnerbolt. In addition, Mega Latias can use Reflect Type to prevent herself from getting burned by Steam Eruption.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Latias: 104-123 (28.6 - 33.8%) -- 0.8% chance to 3HKO

Chansey as a Counter

WE COME IN PEACE (Chansey) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic / Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Heal Bell / Wish

Chansey's massive special bulk enables it to counter almost every special attacker in existence, including Volcanion. Even with Choice Specs and a Modest nature, Volcanion is only able to 4HKO under normal circumstances and 3HKO after SR, two Spikes layers and burn damage (the latter could be considered a typical situation because Steam Eruption, aka Hydro Scald, exists)! Moreover, if Chansey ever gets burned by one of Volcanion's moves, it can switch out after disposing of it with Seismic Toss and Toxic, or simply use Heal Bell to cure itself and Soft-Boiled (and Wish if it carries the move) to regain its lost HP. Oh, and one more thing, Volcanion can't get past Chansey with SpDef drops via Earth Power, as it needs five of those drops to have a chance to 2HKO and by then, Volcanion would already be long gone.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 151-178 (23.5 - 27.7%) -- 81.2% chance to 4HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Earth Power vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 83-98 (12.9 - 15.2%) -- possible 7HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 151-178 (23.5 - 27.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock, 2 layers of Spikes, and burn damage
252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Earth Power vs. -4 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 248-292 (38.6 - 45.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Chansey Seismic Toss vs. 0 HP Volcanion: 100-100 (33.2 - 33.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Sassy Nature
- Curse

Gastrodon is completely unaffected by Steam Eruption and takes pitiful damage from Fire Blast or Sludge Bomb. In return, it can 2HKO Volcanion with Earthquake. Just don't switch into Hidden Power Grass which OHKOes.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 144+ SpD Gastrodon: 135-159 (31.6 - 37.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance

While Gyarados despises getting burned, it can still stomach Volcanion's attacks, set up a Dragon Dance, and 2HKO it with Bounce. If you really hate Volcanion, you can run Earthquake to OHKO it after Stealth Rock. However, it doesn't exactly like facing Specs Volcanion, as it is 2HKO'd by all moves bar HP Grass after rocks.

252+ SpA Volcanion Sludge Bomb vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Gyarados: 108-128 (30.5 - 36.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 220 Atk Gyarados Bounce vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcanion: 169-201 (56.1 - 66.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
