SD Talonflame as a hard check.

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak/Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Offensive Talon lives even a Heart Stamp after rocks (36.7 - 43.4%), and Gale Wings allows it to Roost up. If it comes in on anything else, even better. Adamant Talon does 92 - 109%, which is an OHKO after basically any chip damage (or possibly without).

- Pain Split

Rotom-W takes very little from Jirachi's attacks. Which can help Rotom-W get a Pain Split or a burn off. If Rotom-W switches in on a fire punch or Iron Head Jirachi loses momentum. Rotom-W is able to consistently switch in to Jirachi and gain momentum. Rotom-W as a counter.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm / Earthquake
- Pursuit

Role: Check

Mega Metagross takes very little from anything Jirachi can throw at it, aside from Fire Punch, and even that fails to 2HKO unless it burns you (and at a 20% chance after Serene Grace, be wary of that) (edit: you still avoid the 2HKO even if burned). You can hit it with either Hammer Arm or EQ, depending on what you're trying to hit other stuff with. If it switches (especially if it's locked into Heart Stamp) or uses U-turn, you can nail it with Pursuit for some good damage which will KO Jirachi after any other attack except Zen Headbutt. Be careful of the potential for flinches or the aforementioned burning, though.

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jirachi: 103-122 (30.2 - 35.7%) -- 36.4% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Hammer Arm vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jirachi: 153-181 (44.8 - 53%) -- 30.5% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Mega Metagross Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jirachi: 236-278 (69.2 - 81.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jirachi: 124-146 (36.3 - 42.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jirachi: 246-290 (72.1 - 85%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (this is if Jirachi attempts to switch)

252 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Metagross: 38-45 (12.6 - 14.9%) -- possible 7HKO
252 Atk Jirachi U-turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Metagross: 45-54 (14.9 - 17.9%) -- possible 6HKO
252 Atk Jirachi Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Metagross: 96-114 (31.8 - 37.8%) -- 91.7% chance to 3HKO
Heart Stamp not listed because a) it's not in the calculator for some reason and b) it basically does jack shit.

Impish Nature

Assuming Zard doesn't get flinched to death (3% chance), Bulky Charizard x is a great switch into Jirachi, taking 20% at most from Heart Stamp. Charizard can then burn Jirachi, OHKO with Flare Blitz, and roost stall if necessary.

252 Atk Jirachi Heart Stamp vs. 248 HP / 100+ Def Mega Charizard X: 63-75 (17.5 - 20.8%) -- possible 5HKO

Ability: Static
EVs: 44 HP / 224 Def / 240 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Discharge
- Earth Power
- Yawn / Pain Split

If you know me, you know I love Stunfisk. In fact, it is one of my two favorite Pokémon, the other being Wobbuffet--but that's besides the point. Stunfisk is desceptively bulky, and it completely walls ScarfRachi. Between Static, Rocky Helmet and Earth Power it is able to very easily pressure this thing, punishing literally everything that Rachi can throw at it while taking pitiful damage in return. The given EV spread hits 370 HP as well as the final jump point in defense while dumping the rest into SpD to maximise its special bulk and allow it to consistently cockblock Volt Switch users and electrics in general (fuck WashTom tho). It is able to set up Stealth Rock on it, fish for paralysis between Discharge and Static, heal on it with Pain Split or just straight-up hit it with Earth Power. All in all, this thing is a great answer to ScarfRachi.

Magnezone as a Check

Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 168 HP/252 SpA/88 Spe
Modest Nature
-Volt Switch
-Hidden Power Fire
-Flash Cannon
-Thunderbolt

Magnezone, of course, can lose to flinches and fears Fire Punch. However, everyone and their mother runs Heart Stamp Scarfrachi these days and Magnezone has a very solid chance at winning 1v1. Mag comes in on the likes of Heart Stamp or Iron Head, traps wih Magnet Pull, and easily 2HKO's with Specs Thunderbolt (OHKO's with a bit of prior damage, such as U-Turn or rocks). It is unlikely to be KO'd from repeated flinches, but hey, Jirachi can always pull through in theory. U-Turn can save Jirachi, but Magnezone, unlike many other checks, resists it.

This also pairs well with stuff that likes Jirachi being gone, such as most of OU's fairy- and psychic-types.

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

Bisharp has a resistance and immunity to Jira's STABs. Sucker's priority avoids any funny business with flinches and does 96.7 - 114.3% to Jira, a 81.3% chance to KO. Although setting up with Bisharp isn't always the easiest thing to do nowadays, giving it free turns to SD is still something many teams have to be wary of. With that said, Jirachi must be careful of locking itself into Iron Head or Heart Stamp with Bisharp still alive, as giving it the chance to SD could mean ending up on the wrong side of a sweep for the opposing team. Nonetheless, Bisharp is classified as a check here for two main reasons. The first is Fire Punch, which does 50.1 - 59.7% to Bisharp while threatening a burn should it try switching in directly. The second reason is because Jirachi has a tendency to constantly U-turn around. Although this only deals 23.6 - 28%, Jirachi is likely U-turning to something capable of threatening Bisharp heavily (like Keldeo), which puts momentum in the hands of the person you are facing. It's better to avoid this and instead find a chance where Bisharp can come in on Jirachi for free and abuse its presence from there. Solid offensive response overall!

Volcarona @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz

Volcarona is a safe bet if Jirachi is locked into an attack. It's typing allows it to tank any attack and either OHKO with Fire Blast set up safely (relatively safely, of course. Nothing is 100% safe when you've got a 60% flinch chance on both your STABs). On top of that, Flame Body carries a nice chance of burning Jirachi if it makes contact, which makes it incredibly weak and easy to take advantage of. The biggest issue is U-Turn, and with it, Stealth Rock. Jirachi is able to outlast Volcarona if rocks are on the field, which means that Volcarona's ability to reliably check Jirachi hinges on the player's ability to keep hazards away. Seeing as that is sometimes not a possibility, it's best to keep this as a check.

252 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 78-92 (23.7 - 27.9%) -- 87.3% chance to 4HKO
252 Atk Jirachi Zen Headbutt vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 117-138 (35.5 - 41.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Jirachi Fire Punch vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 97-115 (29.4 - 34.9%) -- 12.6% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Jirachi: 368-434 (107.9 - 127.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature

basically, ferro just deters rachi from spamming iron head and flinching everything to death since iron barbs heavily punishes it, and this gives ferro multiple opportunities to set up spikes since switching it into jirachi not using uturn is a huge momentum sink for the rachi user. ferro is always going to outlast scarf jirachi, though fire punch variants are harder to play around.

The microwave oven takes low damage from every attacks aimed at it, so in return can use Will-O-Wisp and, then, Overheat to OHKO with prior burn damage.
Rotom-H has no problems aside from hax (when you factor in Serene Grace), so connecting a WoW doubles your tanking prowess even thanks to Leftovers.

Not much else to say: set and EVs spread are standard.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 68 SpA / 16 Spe

Takes nothing from jirachis attacks, paralyzes with static so that flinch isn't an issue, can 2HKO with heat wave, and can pivot/toxic on a switch. A shame it can't use defog with static. Trick is a problem too, but that's the case for anything that's not a mega.

You could bump up the SPa evs to make heatwave+volt switch a KO, but then you gamble with hax. Still safe though.

Actual Zen headbutt:

Even the random ice punch gives you no troubles, Since static chance exceeds flinch.
