Hi guys. Welcome to my second RMT. My first was a UU Beta team that peaked number 20. This team managed to reach #25 before falling apart and I am looking for help to do better on my next ladder run. Below is a link to the proof of my peak

So on to the team!

Fuck you Talonflame (Rotom-Wash) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 212 Def / 44 Spd / 252 HP
Bold Nature
- Rest
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch

What to say about this guy. Best Talonflame counter in the game. My go to sponge for physical attackers so I can just burn them. Chesto Rest is absolutely fantastic as it gives me a free second life to work with and I keep this guy alive throughout the game. It's utility is absolutely incredible and has saved my ass too many times to count. Of course, it also has awesome synergy with Genesect and Landorus-T which increases longevity of everybody. This team may seem very offensive, but it relies on good switches and prediction to function to its best ability.

Red Ranger (Genesect) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Download
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Naive Nature
- U-turn
- Iron Head
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower

The second member of the Volt-Turn core and perhaps the most important member of the team. Physical Scarf Genesect is fantastic in the metagame. Its U-turns hit ridiculously hard when not resisted especially with the right download boost. Iron Head cleans off pesky fairies like Mega Gardevoir or Sylveon especially if he has a physical Download Boost. Ice Beam and Flamethrower allow Genesect to revenge a multitude of threats including Thundurus, Genesect, Tornadus, Landorus, Lucario and many others. This pokemon is completely irreplaceable for my team. Genesect also functions as a late game cleaner if necessary because +1 Iron Heads are nothing to laugh at.

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 8 Atk / 8 Spd / 240 Def
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

The Pivot. This guy completes the Volt-Turn core with Rotom-W and Genesect. It also functions as my main switch in to physical attackers like Conkeldurr (on the Drain Punch), Scizor, Garchomp and etc. Edgequake provides great coverage and Stealth Rock is always crucial to wearing down the opponent's team. U-turn is what completes Landorus-T's role as a pivot and allows me to safely bring in the needed pokemon or restart the Volt-Turn sequence. The EV's invest enough in the physical bulk to take any hit I need. (I only take ~80% from Conkeldurr's Ice Punch) In a Physical attacker dominated metagame, Landorus is vital to the team.

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Defog

Latios provides a brutal smackdown from the special side of things. Surf helps muscle past Landorus and Excadrills which is always good. Thunderbolt helps beat Azumarill who think they have a free switch in on me. Draco Meteor's power after a Life Orb is just brutal and nothing has a safe switch in (Fuck you fairies) to this guy. Defog helps a TON for this team as I am constantly switching around and it is easy to get Latios into the fold of things. A blazing fast Defog works wonders for me especially when I can keep offense on the pokemon. EVs are very straightforward and really don't need an explanation.

Bisharp (M) @ Dread Plate
Ability: Defiant
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Knock Off

This guy is absolutely amazing with the buffed Knock Off. Sucker Pwnch helps revenge a multitude of set up threats and saves me so many times. Knock Off hits like an absolute truck especially after a Swords Dance. SD Knock Off is my go to against Stall as it completely dismantles a ton of those teams. Iron Head provides me with valuabke STAB and a way to deal with Fairies. Dread Plate is used to increase longevity so I can switch in and out. It also boosts the Dark Type moves it needs to boost. I could use some help on this guy's EV spread.

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake/Roost

The star of the show, Mega Charizard X. Its speed is fantastic after an DD boost. I run Adamant so I can hit like a truck without DD up. Also I don't really need to outspeed Scarf Genesect after 1 DD, because I can just set up another on it. Dragon Claw is much better than Outrage because I do not have to be locked into a move, especially with Fairies around. Flare Blitz hits like an absolute truck and needs no explanation. I have used EQ to deal with pesky Heatran who would otherwise be a huge threat to my team. They like switching into me as they think I run Roost. However, Roost does really help my longevity which is incredibly useful.

So that's the end of the team. Please leave me a rate if you get the chance :)

For EV spread on Landorus, I would recommend

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 188 HP / 12 Atk / 220 Def / 88 Spd
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn

as it outspeeds opposing max speed Bisharp and OHKOs while 188 HP is a perfect leftovers amount (you restore full health instead of 24.9%) and the rest is just dumped into defense. On Charizard if you are running a Roost set run Adamant 252 Atk 252 Hp 4 Spd while on an earthquake set run 4 Hp 252 Atk 252 Spd Jolly. On this team I would recommend the roost set because I've done a few battles with it. Another complaint is that I would recomment 30 IVs on speed and 252 def 4 Satk because Rotom-Wash is in general walled by opposing Rotom-Wash so it would be better to let them outspeed you so that they have to do a switch out and after they switch out, you can volt switch on that pokemon dealing the damage on it or burning it. I would also recommend Psyshock on Latios because so far Venusaur and Heatran completely wall your team. I tested this team out a bit myself and with those changes, I felt like it worked a lot better.

Thanks for the rate! I actually have not any trouble with Venusaur or Heatran as Charizard-X with EQ breaks past them both. With smart play, I easily wear down Mega Venusaur. The coverage on Latios is just incredibly important to me. Also the 44 EVs on Rotom-W are too outspeed Jolly Azumarill. Dropping an IV point causes a speed tie I would hate to have. I will be implementing your changes to the Landorus-T EV's and Nature to your suggested spread.

From my experience, Pain Split and Leftovers has a bit more lasting utility on Rotom-W, plus it provides a good it to Blissey.
I really like the idea of a mixed attacking Genesect, but I haven't seen it used enough to know how effective it is.
But at a glance, this team looks alright.

And on your Mega Charizard X, I'd suggest Roost over Earthquake, because you'll want to keep you setup sweeper alive.

So why Dread Plate on Bisharp? If you want more power, I'd use Life Orb; or for more lasting potential, use Lefties. But my favorite Bisharp set is a Substitute/SD set. It works wonders.

I have been testing Roost around on Zard but sometimes I like EQ to hit Heatran that want to switch in on me. As for the Rotom-W set, I like Chesto as it helps in the clutch against slower Pokemon.

Dread Plate helps boost move power without recoil which I like.
