[OVERVIEW]

Whiscash is a pretty mediocre Pokemon despite having a great Water / Ground typing that gives it only one weakness in Grass along with an immunity to Electric-type attacks. Whiscash also has access to Dragon Dance, which gives the niche of a decent physical sweeper. However, outside of its HP, all of Whiscash's stats are mediocre at best. Also, Whiscash's low Speed stat means that even after a Dragon Dance, it can be revenge killed by faster Pokemon or Choice Scarf users, and it needs a lot of team support, as its average Attack keeps it from breaking through bulkier Pokemon. Whiscash is also complete setup bait for Grass-types such as Roselia and Tangela which can take any of its attacks with relative ease. Whiscash is also generally outclassed as a Water-type sweeper by Carracosta and Barbaracle and as a Dragon Dance sweeper by Fraxure.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Dragon Dance increases Whiscash's Attack and Speed. Earthquake is Whiscash's strongest move, hitting Water-types that resist Waterfall such as Poliwrath and Simipour. Waterfall is Whiscash's primary STAB move, hitting for solid damage with a chance to make the foe flinch. Stone Edge provides great coverage alongside Earthquake, hitting Flying-types such as Pelipper, which resists Waterfall and is immune to Earthquake. Ice Beam, however, can be used to surprise opposing Grass-types such as Leafeon and Tangela, which resist Whiscash's dual STAB attacks, for super effective damage off of their lower Special Defense.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs provide Whiscash with maximum damage output. Maximum Speed investment along with a Jolly nature allows Whiscash to outspeed threats such as maximum Speed neutral-natured base 70 Speed Pokemon such as Mightyena and Poliwrath as well as maximum Speed neutral-natured Aurorus and Torterra before a Dragon Dance while outspeeding Jolly Purugly and everything below that after a Dragon Dance. If you're running Ice Beam, a Naive nature is preferred to increase the damage Ice Beam can do while being able to 2HKO Tangela and Gourgeist-XL. Life Orb increases the power of all of Whiscash's attacks at the cost of some health. Hydration is the best of Whiscash's abilities, as while it might seem situational, having status removed when it's raining greatly benefits Whiscash.

Usage Tips
========

Whiscash is best used late-game when its checks and counters are eliminated or weak enough to the point where Whiscash can clean up for itself. Set up Dragon Dance against foes that Whiscash can force out such as Rapidash and Probopass. Be mindful of Whiscash's health, as Life Orb wears it down with each attack, and being burned or poisoned will either lower its Attack or limit how long Whiscash can sweep, respectively. Be sure to get rid of or weaken, faster Pokemon or Choice Scarf users, as Whiscash is still slow even after a Dragon Dance. Avoid switching Whiscash into strong attacks due to its subpar defenses. Whiscash should come in when a teammate has fainted or from a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Be mindful of switching Whiscash into a predicted Electric-type attack, as Pokemon such as Raichu and Zebstrika can predict it switching in and either use Grass Knot or Hidden Power Grass, respectively.

Team Options
========

Whiscash appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Roselia, Whirlipede, Golem, and Probopass to wear down opposing foes; netting a 2HKO and OHKO on offensive Poliwrath and Floatzel respectively after a Dragon Dance and Stealth Rock damage with Earthquake. Roselia resists Grass-type attacks and can handle Grass-types with Sludge Bomb. Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Rapidash, Dodrio, and Rotom-F deal with troublesome Grass-types that Whiscash has trouble getting past while Whiscash handles Rock-types for them in return. Wallbreakers such as Ursaring and Beheeyem can break down the opponent's team, making it easier for Whiscash to sweep. Ice Beam variants of Basculin and Poliwrath can lure in and weaken or take out Grass-types. Rapid Spin support from Pokemon such as Torkoal, Armaldo, and Avalugg benefits Whiscash, as it is affected by all forms of entry hazards.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Bounce can hit Grass-types for super effective damage, but it takes a turn to use and can be dealt with by using Protect or switching to a Flying-type resist. Zen Headbutt can hit Machoke and Poliwrath, but Earthquake does just as much damage to both. Toxic can wear down common switch-ins to Whiscash such as Leafeon and Torterra. A Choice Specs set with Hydro Pump, Earth Power, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric with a Modest nature can be used, but is outclassed by Floatzel, which has higher Speed and access to Switcheroo. Substitute allows Whiscash to dodge status conditions and Sucker Punch while making it easier for it to set up Dragon Dance. A bulkier set with Rest + Hydration can be used to set up Dragon Dance easier while recovering from status with rain support.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Tangela, Gourgeist, Jumpluff, and Torterra can all live a hit from Whiscash and KO it in return with their STAB moves, but they must be wary if Whiscash runs Ice Beam. Quilladin can tank a Waterfall or Earthquake and either heal off any damage with Synthesis, proceed to set up Spikes, or outright OHKO Whiscash with Wood Hammer. Gogoat can also take a Life Orb boosted Waterfall or Earthquake and can shrug off Ice Beam and OHKO Whiscash with Horn Leech or set up with Bulk Up.

**Faster Pokemon**: Even after a Dragon Dance, Whiscash is still slow, so Pokemon that can outspeed and threaten Whiscash are problematic. Examples include Floatzel and Zebstrika. Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Sawsbuck and Mr. Mime can outspeed and either KO Whiscash or weaken it where it can't effectively sweep.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon with good physical bulk such as defensive Poliwrath can take a hit from Whiscash and possibly burn it with Scald. Pelipper and Avalugg can easily handle Whiscash if it isn't running Stone Edge; the former could either possibly burn Whiscash with Scald or Roost off any damage, and the latter can 2HKO Whiscash with Avalanche, cripple it with Toxic, or phaze it with Roar.

**Status**: Burn lowers Whiscash's Attack and takes away its function as a physical sweeper whereas Toxic Spikes wear down Whiscash over time, as it loses health each turn.

IMO jolly is too important not to have as it lets you outspeed all that (lmao this doesnt even outspeed zebby):

355 / Purugly / 112 / +Spe / 252 / 0
350 / Jumpluff, Raichu / 110 / +Spe / 252 / 0
343 / Ursaring / 55 / +Spe / 252 / +1
339 / Electabuzz, Kadabra, Rapidash / 105 / +Spe / 252 / 0
338 / Kadabra (Hidden Power Fighting) / 105 / +Spe / 252 / 0
331 / Simipour, Simisage, Simisear / 101 / +Spe / 252 / 0
328 / Dodrio, Ninetales / 100 / +Spe / 252 / 0

Not outspeeding 115/6's is still bad but those pokes listed above are on almost every team

Also looking at calcs (it cannt 3HKO tangela) makes me think that the overview should be written about why it is outclassed as i really dont see a reason why you would use it over fraxure/costa (ie say that it is completely outclassed and say why - which you have done a good job in doing)

+1 252 Atk Life Orb Whiscash Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Tangela: 90-107 (26.9 - 32%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
lmao this is weak

Maybe consider ice beam as it 2HKOs tang - 0- SpA Life Orb Whiscash Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Tangela: 164-195 (49.1 - 58.3%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO
tho you might want a neutral nature:
0 SpA Life Orb Whiscash Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gourgeist-Super: 172-203 (45.9 - 54.2%) -- 95.7% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

yes definitely add ice beam at least in moves or as a slash with substitute and stone edge, and change nature with naive

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
If you say Earthquake is its strongest move(change in strongest STAB, more clear), then Waterfall can't be its primary STAB, if you want you can keep it like that, but provide reasoning, otherwise change it.

Set Details
========
change into naive and add why it is running naive(2hko on gourg and needs more damage on ice beam to properly pressure tangela bc of regen).

Usage Tips
========
mention it shouldnt switch against most strong attackers because of its subpar bulk and typing, while it can take advantage of weaker ones to set up on them.
mention it shouldnt take unnecessary damage, and preferably should be brought in by slow voltturn or after a teammate has been KOd.
mention that most electric-types carry a coverage move to hit ground-types, such as hidden power grass, so whiscash should be careful even switching on them, but in some occations Whiscash could switch in to stop voltturn chains.

Team Options
========
mention that roselia can also deal with grass-types decently and can absorb toxic spikes which is a problem for whiscash.
indeed entry hazards are a problem for it, mention also entry hazards removal from defog and rapid spin users.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
mention tank set, has a p good niche bc typing and not horrible bulk + hydratation which can be nice along w rest in rain.

Checks and Counters
===================
mention that some grass-types such as tangela and gourg fear ice beam.

Substitute shouldnt get a slash imo as getting walled by grass types in a tier where grass is everywhere isnt a great thing, and also i dont think that whiscash needs sub as it cannot set up on most wisp users anyway, along with it being immune to the most common status move. Whiscash's problems lie more in sweeping than setting up, which is why another attack is really important

The analysis looks good so i might come back and give a full check soon(ish)

This recently got moved to E rank for a good reason which the overview needs to reflect. Basically just state that it is completely outclassed and mention the pokes that outclass it, and also mention that it is just grass type bait

set:
Ability should prolly be oblivious as it is slightly less situational otherwise is good

OO:
special agility; ultimate trc counter

c&c:
in faster poke change the bit about zebby and raichu outspeeding
also mention poison in status (just toxic spikes bc reg toxic is rare)

Jumpluff is also an ice beam and stone edge target and something that needs to be in c&c

Good job on this 3/3

Be mindful of switching Whiscash into a predicted Electric-type attack, as Pokemon such as Raichu and Zebstrika can predict it switching in and either use Grass Knot or Hidden Power Grass, (AC) respectively.

Whiscash appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Roselia, Whirlipede, Golem, and Probopass to wear down opposing foes, while netting 2HKO and OHKO on offensive Poliwrath and Floatzel respectively after a Dragon Dance and Stealth Rock damage with Earthquake. Roselia resists Grass-type attacks and can handle them with Sludge Bomb. Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Rapidash, Dodrio, and Rotom-F deals with troublesome Grass-types that Whiscash has trouble getting past, while Whiscash handles Rock-types for them in return. Wallbreakers such as Ursaring and Beheeyem can break down the opponent's team, making it easier for Whiscash to sweep. Ice Beam variants of Basculin and Poliwrath can lure in and weaken or take out Grass-types. Rapid Spin support from Pokemon such as Torkoal, Armaldo, and Avalugg benefit Whiscash, (AC) as it is affected by all forms of entry hazards.

Bounce can hit Grass-types for super effectively damage, but it takes a turn to use and can be avoidable. Zen Headbutt can hit Machoke and Poliwrath harder, but Earthquake does just as much damage to both. Toxic can wear down common switch -(AH)ins to Whiscash, (AC) such as Leafeon and Torterra. A Choice Specs set with Hydro Pump / Earth Power / Ice Beam /, (AC) Earth Power, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric with a Modest nature can be used, but is still weak and is outclassed by Floatzel, (AC) which has higher Speed and access to Switcheroo. Substitute allows Whiscash to dodge status conditions and Sucker Punch while making it easier for it to set up Dragon Dance. A bulkier set with Rest + Hydration can be used to set up Dragon Dance easier while recovering from status with Rain support.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Tangela, Gourgeist, Jumpluff, and Torterra can all live a hit from Whiscash and KO it in return with its STAB, but they must be wary if Whiscash runs Ice Beam. Quilladin can tank a Waterfall or Earthquake and either heal off any damage with Synthesis, proceed to set up Spikes, or outright OHKO Whiscash with Wood Hammer. Gogoat can also take a Life Orb Waterfall or Earthquake and can shrug off Ice Beam and OHKO Whiscash with Horn Leech or set up with Bulk Up.

**Faster Pokemon**: Even after a Dragon Dance, Whiscash is still slow, so Pokemon that can outspeed and threathen Whiscash are problematic.

Pelipper and Avalugg can easily handle Whiscash if it isn't running Stone Edge and; (Add semicolon) the former could either possibly burn Whiscash with Scald or Roost off any damage while, (AC) and the latter can 2HKO Whiscash with Avalanche, cripple Whiscashit with Toxic, or phaze it out with Roar.

**Status**: Being burned lowers Whiscash's aAttack and takes away its function as a physical sweeper whereas Toxic Spikes wears down Whiscash over time, (AC) as it loses health with each turn.

GP 1/2

Mr. Uncompetitive, sorry! I was doing 1/2 for this already. I make my placeholders with "doing" or "im on it," but I should have been clearer with that. There's always an amcheck for 2/2 though!
Thanks for the check Rhythms. Ready for a second GP check.

Also, Whiscash's low Speed stat means that even after a Dragon Dance, it can be revenge killed by faster Pokemon or Choice Scarf users, and it needs a lot of team support, as its average Attack hinders keeps it from breaking through bulkier Pokemon. Whiscash is also complete setup bait for Grass-types such as Roselia and Tangela who which can take any of its attacks with relative ease. Whiscash is also completely outclassed as a Water-type sweeper by Carracosta and Barbaracle and as a Dragon Dance sweeper by Fraxure. then why use it? If it's completely outclassed, just say not to use it.

Moves

Dragon Dance increases Whiscash's Attack and Speed. Earthquake is Whiscash's strongest move, hitting Water-types that resist Waterfall such as Poliwrath and Simipour. Waterfall is Whiscash's primary STAB move, hitting for solid damage with a chance to make the foe flinch. Stone Edge provides great coverage alongside Earthquake, hitting Flying-types such as Pelipper, which resists Waterfall and is immune to Earthquake. Ice Beam, however, can be used to surprise opposing Grass-types such as Leafeon and Tangela, which resist Whiscash's dual STAB attacks, (AC) while hitting them super for super effective damage off of their lower Special Defense.

Set Details
========

Hydration is the best of Whiscash's abilities, as while it may might seem situational, having status removed when it's raining greatly benefits Whiscash.

Usage Tips
========

Be sure to get rid of or weaken, (AC) faster Pokemon or Choice Scarf users, as Whiscash is still slow, (RC) even after a Dragon Dance. Avoid switching Whiscash into strong attacks due to its typing you said its typing was great before? Either this or that needs to be rephrased. Just 'supbar defenses' is probably good enough and subpar defenses. Whiscash should come in when a teammate has fainted, (RC) or from a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Be mindful of switching Whiscash into a predicted Electric-type attack, as Pokemon such as Raichu and Zebstrika can predict it switching in and either use Grass Knot or Hidden Power Grass, respectively.
