[OVERVIEW]
Whiscash is a pretty mediocre Pokemon despite having a great Water / Ground typing that gives it only one weakness in Grass along with an immunity to Electric-type attacks. Whiscash also has access to Dragon Dance, which gives the niche of a decent physical sweeper. However, outside of its HP, all of Whiscash's stats are mediocre at best. Also, Whiscash's low Speed stat means that even after a Dragon Dance, it can be revenge killed by faster Pokemon or Choice Scarf users, and it needs a lot of team support, as its average Attack keeps it from breaking through bulkier Pokemon. Whiscash is also complete setup bait for Grass-types such as Roselia and Tangela which can take any of its attacks with relative ease. Whiscash is also generally outclassed as a Water-type sweeper by Carracosta and Barbaracle and as a Dragon Dance sweeper by Fraxure.

Moves
========
Dragon Dance increases Whiscash's Attack and Speed. Earthquake is Whiscash's strongest move, hitting Water-types that resist Waterfall such as Poliwrath and Simipour. Waterfall is Whiscash's primary STAB move, hitting for solid damage with a chance to make the foe flinch. Stone Edge provides great coverage alongside Earthquake, hitting Flying-types such as Pelipper, which resists Waterfall and is immune to Earthquake. Ice Beam, however, can be used to surprise opposing Grass-types such as Leafeon and Tangela, which resist Whiscash's dual STAB attacks, for super effective damage off of their lower Special Defense.
Set Details
========
252 Attack EVs provide Whiscash with maximum damage output. Maximum Speed investment along with a Jolly nature allows Whiscash to outspeed threats such as maximum Speed neutral-natured base 70 Speed Pokemon such as Mightyena and Poliwrath as well as maximum Speed neutral-natured Aurorus and Torterra before a Dragon Dance while outspeeding Jolly Purugly and everything below that after a Dragon Dance. If you're running Ice Beam, a Naive nature is preferred to increase the damage Ice Beam can do while being able to 2HKO Tangela and Gourgeist-XL. Life Orb increases the power of all of Whiscash's attacks at the cost of some health. Hydration is the best of Whiscash's abilities, as while it might seem situational, having status removed when it's raining greatly benefits Whiscash.
Usage Tips
========
Whiscash is best used late-game when its checks and counters are eliminated or weak enough to the point where Whiscash can clean up for itself. Set up Dragon Dance against foes that Whiscash can force out such as Rapidash and Probopass. Be mindful of Whiscash's health, as Life Orb wears it down with each attack, and being burned or poisoned will either lower its Attack or limit how long Whiscash can sweep, respectively. Be sure to get rid of or weaken, faster Pokemon or Choice Scarf users, as Whiscash is still slow even after a Dragon Dance. Avoid switching Whiscash into strong attacks due to its subpar defenses. Whiscash should come in when a teammate has fainted or from a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Be mindful of switching Whiscash into a predicted Electric-type attack, as Pokemon such as Raichu and Zebstrika can predict it switching in and either use Grass Knot or Hidden Power Grass, respectively.
Team Options
========
Whiscash appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Roselia, Whirlipede, Golem, and Probopass to wear down opposing foes; netting a 2HKO and OHKO on offensive Poliwrath and Floatzel respectively after a Dragon Dance and Stealth Rock damage with Earthquake. Roselia resists Grass-type attacks and can handle Grass-types with Sludge Bomb. Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Rapidash, Dodrio, and Rotom-F deal with troublesome Grass-types that Whiscash has trouble getting past while Whiscash handles Rock-types for them in return. Wallbreakers such as Ursaring and Beheeyem can break down the opponent's team, making it easier for Whiscash to sweep. Ice Beam variants of Basculin and Poliwrath can lure in and weaken or take out Grass-types. Rapid Spin support from Pokemon such as Torkoal, Armaldo, and Avalugg benefits Whiscash, as it is affected by all forms of entry hazards.

Other Options
=============
Bounce can hit Grass-types for super effective damage, but it takes a turn to use and can be dealt with by using Protect or switching to a Flying-type resist. Zen Headbutt can hit Machoke and Poliwrath, but Earthquake does just as much damage to both. Toxic can wear down common switch-ins to Whiscash such as Leafeon and Torterra. A Choice Specs set with Hydro Pump, Earth Power, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric with a Modest nature can be used, but is outclassed by Floatzel, which has higher Speed and access to Switcheroo. Substitute allows Whiscash to dodge status conditions and Sucker Punch while making it easier for it to set up Dragon Dance. A bulkier set with Rest + Hydration can be used to set up Dragon Dance easier while recovering from status with rain support.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Tangela, Gourgeist, Jumpluff, and Torterra can all live a hit from Whiscash and KO it in return with their STAB moves, but they must be wary if Whiscash runs Ice Beam. Quilladin can tank a Waterfall or Earthquake and either heal off any damage with Synthesis, proceed to set up Spikes, or outright OHKO Whiscash with Wood Hammer. Gogoat can also take a Life Orb boosted Waterfall or Earthquake and can shrug off Ice Beam and OHKO Whiscash with Horn Leech or set up with Bulk Up.
**Faster Pokemon**: Even after a Dragon Dance, Whiscash is still slow, so Pokemon that can outspeed and threaten Whiscash are problematic. Examples include Floatzel and Zebstrika. Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Sawsbuck and Mr. Mime can outspeed and either KO Whiscash or weaken it where it can't effectively sweep.
**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon with good physical bulk such as defensive Poliwrath can take a hit from Whiscash and possibly burn it with Scald. Pelipper and Avalugg can easily handle Whiscash if it isn't running Stone Edge; the former could either possibly burn Whiscash with Scald or Roost off any damage, and the latter can 2HKO Whiscash with Avalanche, cripple it with Toxic, or phaze it with Roar.
**Status**: Burn lowers Whiscash's Attack and takes away its function as a physical sweeper whereas Toxic Spikes wear down Whiscash over time, as it loses health each turn.
