[LOSS] Windburn Gulch (Normal) - Frosty and SubwayJ

After some minutes of walking, you notice the forest getting increasingly more sparse. Then, you arrive near what looks to be a canyon. You are in a high position, so you can see the gulch developing for several miles, almost ending in the ocean. Despite the storms and the rain all around you, surprisingly, this place seems sunny, bathed in a clear, blue sky. Something however is apparently off - the temperature is really hot, probably over thirty degrees (celsius). Sadly, judging from the way your path is looking to be, some more sweating seems to await you.

Soundtrack

The rather narrow path goes down, following the shape of the cliff. Sometimes you put a step in the wrong position, and you shudder as few pebbles fall in the pit below. Suddendly, one of you turns the eyes down and gasps. A river of magma flows slowly within the depths of the canyon, like a red river full of heat and seethe. Nevertheless, you find the courage to keep going and, after a while, you reach what seems to be a platform, suspended above the lava below. It doesn't take the awful drought to remember you about the need to pay care. Still, the exhaustion often causes you to slow down.
Several platforms are connected with the first and with each other with stony bridges. They don't look extremely safe, but at the same time they're your only means to continue your journey. You cross at least four of them before reaching a larger plateau, hovering on the magma below. Suddendly you hear a deep voice laughing.

I didn't expect humans like you to find the guts to venture in these lands. Too bad you don't look worthy of my attention anyway.

"Who's there?!", shouts one of you, in panic. However, the canyon looks as desert as ever.

Don't worry about me. Worry about yourselves.

Few seconds after, you hear a sudden splash coming from below. It takes you only a moment to realize what's happening - the time to avoid a big, four legged creature leaping from the pit over the platform. The ground shakes alarmingly on the impact. Still, the true trouble seems to be ahead of you!

I forgot: Pyroak gets a Leppa Berry and Torterra gets an Enigma Berry due to berry harvest.

Pyroak: Water Sport - Synchroquake
Torterra: Light Screen (all but Pyroak) - Synchroquake

Do this said:
Trevenant: Trick Room - Synchroquake
Gogoat: Dig (Heatran) - Synchroquake
A set of Synchroquake deals (10*0.75+2-1.5)*2.25+(10*0.75+3-1.5)*2.25+(10*0.75+2)*2.25+(10*0.75-1.5)*2.25= 73.125hp. Dig+Dig+Earth Power+Earth Power deals (8+2)*2.25+(9+2-3)*2.25+(9+3-3)*2.25+(8-1.5)*2.25= 75hp.

Not really the best output, but *sighs*. But Heatran is also quite dangerous, specially conflagrate.

Bottom Line: Damage Race.

Trevenant: Trick Room - Synchroquake
Gogoat: Dig (Heatran) - Synchroquake

Woot woot

Also keep in mind for upcoming rounds that new hotfix for Water Sport D:

Round 1

Heatran roars in rage, and invests Gregorovitch with seething flames. The Trevenant endures the heat and, while his team mates throw up defensive measures, it twists the dimensions, turning the tables on the faster foe. Then, the Grass-types retaliate with a barrage of quake waves, but Heatran shrugs off the blows and strikes the Torterra boldly.

Shouldn't Torterra and Pyroak have the berries I mentioned on the first post? dunno if I should have said it on the PM.

I have a feeling that we may have understimated this...I should have brought Ludicolo or something to tank Heatran's moves. Synchroquake isn't really worth it due to the spread moves multiplier.

But we can make this work, I think. Hopefully.

We need to dispatch Heatran in 8 rounds total. Which means 125hp per round average. And that is made much harder by lovely Conflagrate taking down two actions of a random mon.

So uh, don't waste time with support for now. We will only when/if necessary.

Torterra: Earth Power (Heatran) - Synchroquake
Pyroak: Low Kick (Heatran) - Synchroquake

Do this said:
Trevenant: Dig - Synchroquake
Gogoat: Dig - Synchroquake
This results in (9+3-3)*2.25+(10*0.75+3-1.5)*2.25+(14+2-1.5)*1.5+(10*0.75+2-1.5)*2.25+(8-1.5)*2.25+(10*0.75-1.5)*2.25+(8+2)*2.25+(10*0.75+2)*2.25= 152.25hp. Which may become at worst 108.35hp if Gogoat is the target of Conflagrate (which may or may not happen in this round).

oh boy

Trevenant: Dig - Synchroquake
Gogoat: Dig - Synchroquake

Double checked calcs and everything looks good, hopefully we haven't missed anything key.

Round 2

The team lets loose all its offensive power now, but Heatran shrugs the blows off and pays back at Great Deku Tree. Fortunately, the Torterra can eat his berry to heal his wounds.

Conflagrate means that Synchroquake will be a bad idea, so let's seize the opportunity and have gogoat chill.

Torterra: Superpower - Earth Power
Pyroak: Low Kick - Earth Power

Do this said:
Gogoat: Dig - Chill
Trevenant: Dig - Focus Blast
Let's hope that Pyroak isn't the one blessed with Conflagrate...

EDIT: From now on, I'm gonna apply the rule about speed ties correctly.

Round 3

Frosty's Pokemon keep the foe engaged, while SubwayJ's ones go underground once more. However Heatran's reaction is fierce, as the Torterra finds himself engulfed in a concussive flame blast. While he wanders clueless, Heatran is free to turn on Frosty's other Pokemon. However, the Pyroak doesn't hold back, and shrugs off the foe's blow relatively easily.

Let's work to transfer the Threat to Gogoat, k? This should be enough to make it possible next round.

Round 4

While the Torterra slowly comes to its senses, the other team mates keep attacking. However, even as the Grass-type turtle joins the onslaught, Heatran doesn't hold back. Its attacks lay a significant hurt on the Pyroak.

We are behind schedule...

Torterra: Earth Power - Light Screen (all but Trevenant)
Pyroak: Earth Power - Low Kick

do this said:
Trevenant: Trick Room - Chill
Gogoat: Dig - Milk Drink (Pyroak)

TBH I am not entirely sure this is the best set of orders. This will be the last Trick Room and the last Light Screen before enrage. Trevenant needs to chill now to avoid problems later (and he isn't dealing much damage anyway). Pyroak will be designated Tank for the remaining of this battle, so let's forget the "transfer threat" plan and just heal it.

Trevenant: Trick Room - Chill
Gogoat: Dig - Milk Drink (Pyroak)

Hopefully we have luck with harvest so we don't have to chill with Trev in the future

Round 5

The team needs to slow down a bit, to recover forces and renew the field effects that allows it to take on the mighty enemy. Heatran keeps attacking, but the Pyroak manages to heal off some of the wounds with the team mate Gogoat's milk.

Pyroak : synchroquake - low kick
Torterra : synchroquake - earth power

Gogoat : synchroquake- dig
Trevenant : synchroquake - dig
Gogoat will have to chill next round.

We are reaching enrage timer and it seems that it will be very close... once conflagrate is out of the equation we will try to predict what will happen.

On the meanwhile full power ahead!

Round 6

The raid mates combine their forces in a massive quake aimed at the enemy. Heatran takes significant damage, but retaliates with a concussive flameshot that stuns the unfortunate Gogoat. Nevertheless, the rest of the team does its best to keep up the offense, while the Pyroak is slowly crumbling under the enemy's relentless strikes.

I did some calcs are we are not looking well. The next conflagrate will make or break us.

I guess beating around the bushes won't matter. We gotta be offensive.

Water Sport will come later, so it is there when Heatran enrages and sticks around a bit. With it Torterra, gogoat and Trevenant may survive two hits. Which should be enough to deal the extra 50-60 dmg we need to defeat heatran. Or not, as Energy WILL bite us in the ass >_<;.

eh

Pyroak: Earth Power - Low Kick
Torterra: Superpower - Earth Power

Round 7

The team tries to keep up the offense, but without the protection of a water veil, Heatran is now free to blast the team with powerful fiery attacks that wear it down significantly.

Aside from Gogoat's burn, this wasn't all that bad...

Pyroak: Synchroquake - Water Sport
Torterra: Synchroquake - Earth Power

Trevenant: Synchroquake - Dig
Gogoat: Synchroquake - Chill
If we get lucky with conflagrate now we can win (I did the calcs). If not, we will lose.

But hey, we have some kind of shot here.
