move 3: Flamethrower / Low Kick
move 4: Sludge Bomb
item: Heavy-Duty Boots

nature: Naive
evs: 220 Atk / 36 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Zoroark carves a small niche in RU as a pivot that can create mindgames with Pokemon that would seem to force it out, such as Milotic and Togekiss. Thanks to its ability Illusion, Zoroark can disguise itself as their checks, and it can hinder Pokemon with Knock Off and pivot into wallbreakers safely with U-turn. However, Zoroark's defensive profile is extremely lacking and it doesn't naturally scare many Pokemon out, making it reliant on Illusion to perform its role. Illusion can be difficult to get use out of consistently, since any amount of damage on Zoroark or the Pokemon it copies can ruin the mind game. Flamethrower can hit Steel-types like Steelix for good damage, while Low Kick can be used to hit others like Registeel harder. 36 Special Attack EVs allow Zoroark to 2HKO Togekiss with Sludge Bomb after Stealth Rock. Sucker Punch allows Zoroark to revenge kill with priority, but it is hard to fit.

Sweepers, such as Flygon and Cloyster, enjoy Zoroark being around to hinder their checks with Knock Off and get them free setup opportunities with U-turn. Wallbreakers that need pivoting support to come in safely, such as Toxtricity, appreciate Zoroark bringing them in and playing mind games against their checks with Illusion to wallbreak more easily. Partners that can set Spikes, such as Klefki, help compensate for Zoroark's middling offensive stats. Heavy-Duty Boots users like Xurkitree and Heracross that can scare out Zoroark's checks, such as Togekiss and Incineroar, help Zoroark take full advantage of its Illusion by not taking entry hazard damage, which ruins the mind game.

Zoroark carves a small niche in RU over its fellow Dark-Types, such as Incineroar and Pangoro(Idt comparing it to Dark-types makes a lot of sense, its niche and functionality are pretty unique comparatively, and zoroark sucks in large part from its own shortcomings. A big thing you didn't mention is Illusion and the mindgames it can create with Illusion. Pokemon like Milotic and Togekiss that may not be threatened much by Zoroark, but what zoro is copying ie xurk or toxt can threaten them out, re my below comment as well.), with its ability to threaten Fairy-Types with Sludge Bomb and its good speed tier(Sludge bomb is just a weak coverage move its main role is a pivot that with illusion and cripples things with knock off. Knock Off gives utility, removing items from Pokemon such as Milotic or Porygon-2.(re my prior comment, you can explain it there briefly instead.) (Yeah, Zoro does suck, so you can explain why it's not used. Its Defensive profile is extremely lacking and it's not very threatening either, there aren't many Pokemon it naturally scares out, so it's reliant on Illusion which can be difficult to get use out of reliably) U-Turn can take advantage over bulky switch-ins to get in wallbreaking teamates. Flamethrower can hit Steel-types for good damage, such as Registeel. 36 EVs invested into Special Attack allow Zoroark to 2HKO Togekiss with Sludge Bomb after Stealth Rocks. Wallbreakers that need pivoting support to come in safely, such as Toxtricity or Regidrago, appreciate Zoroark to help them come in safely. Pokemon that also use Heavy Duty Boots, such as Chandelure or Crobat(I think we can get better examples, what doesn't zoro threaten out? Togekiss, Dark-types, and Water-types, Xurkitree is a boots user which can scare waters and Heracross Dark-types), help Zoroark take full advantage of its ability Illusion.

First sentence could be more coherent, but the contents there
making it reliant on Illusion which could be difficult to get use out consistently, since any amount of damage on Zoroark or what it copied can ruin the mindgame.
e:
Pokemon that also use Heavy Duty Boots like Xurkitree and Heracross that can scare Zoroarks checks, such as Togekiss and Incineroar, andXurkitree or Heracross, help Zoroark take full advantage of its ability Illusion.

Zoroark carves a small niche in RU as a pivot who can create mindgames with Pokemon that would normally threaten it out, such as Milotic or Togekiss, thanks to its ability Illusion, allowing Zoroark to copy their checks and its ability to cripple Pokemon with Knock Off.
in the opening sentence you really wanna emphasize the knock off + uturn combo, which is just good in itself but coupled with illusion gives you a bunch of opportunities to knock items off key mons throughout the match. this is good when you realize that you're mostly using zoro as a combo with something else usually to enable them to sweep eg regidrago cloyster or help them break walls like toxtricity queen rose so you can weaken their biggest checks p easily if you get the mindgames right

Flamethrower can hit Steel-types for good damage, such as Registeel.
would rather you mention something like metagross or steelix cuz regi takes more from knock off iirc lol

Wallbreakers that need pivoting support to come in safely, such as Toxtricity or Regidrago, appreciate Zoroark to help them come in safely.
feel like this is both incomplete and mixing stuff together. split this into two sentences, sweepers (eg regidrago, flygon cloyster) and mention that 1) knock + illusion can weaken their checks to sweep easier and 2) uturn can get setup opportunities. then breakers (eg toxtricity, queen, lucario) that can wallbreak and play off from illusion mindgames to break more easily

other stuff
- mention low kick as another way of hitting steels like regi for more dmg than flamethrower
- mention sucker punch is nice but hard to fit
- split this into two paragraphs, set details and team options
- add a sentence on spiker partners eg rose klefki

implement this and tag me for a stamp

However, Zoroark has its flaws, as its defensive profile is extremely lacking and because not many Pokemon are naturally scared out by Zoroark, making it reliant on Illusion which could be difficult to get use out consistently, since any amount of damage on Zoroark or what it copied can ruin the mindgame.
Info here is good but it’s phrased awkwardly

rest looks good to me, qc 2/2 unless Mac3 wants to add anything
