Introduction

Paldea is the newest region in Pokémon, highlighted in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. As the first open-world experience in the Pokémon franchise, there are a lot of beautiful sights and fun activities to explore. If you were to be visiting Paldea for vacation, you might be wondering, "What should I even do?". Paldea has a lot to offer, such as the local cuisine, photogenic tourist spots, rich history, and many places to explore! You’re in luck, as we’ve compiled a list of Paldea's most popular sites. Hopefully, this will help you in your upcoming travels to the Paldea region.

Mesagoza

As the biggest city in all of Paldea, there's a lot to do in Mesagoza. With world-famous attractions and stunning architecture, Mesagoza has a lot to display for your Paldean vacation. You can take beautiful pictures at many sites, including the grand gate to Mesagoza, the stunning Academy Staircase, and the lively main square, which can be viewed as a memorial to Paldea’s famous Terastal Phenomenon. Surrounding the aforementioned battlefield is one of Paldea's largest shopping and dining centers. The main square is home to many clothing stores such as Capbourg, Bagin’s, and Zapaldea Footwear, allowing you to stay in style during your visit to Paldea or have a fun souvenir.

Feel like going on a picnic in the nearby South Province? Head over to the western side of the city to find local stores including Artisan Bakery, Deli Cioso, and Sure Cans, then stop by Picnic-Knacks back in the main square to decorate your setup. For the competitive battlers of the site, visit Delibird Presents and Chansey Supply for powerful items and training tools in the southeastern area of the city.

You can also experience the cuisine of Paldea in Mesagoza; visit the Sugar-N-Ice cart for a quick and tasty treat, Every Wich Way to learn a new sandwich recipe, and local favorites like Barato’s, Seabreeze Cafe, and Seafood Fresco.

Mesagoza's academy is one of the most spectacular sites in the city andthe most established in the world; Mesagoza's Academy houses an advanced Pokémon curriculum and is the Alma Mater to influential people of the Pokémon world such as Paldean Champion Geeta and Pokémon Professors Turo and Sada. The Academy continues to contribute to the history of Mesagoza, so it’s definitely worth a visit! The Academy hosts the Treasure Hunt for students to travel all around Paldea, so you might encounter some of its students on your journey! The Academy has recently started hosting the Academy Ace tournament in the main square where experienced and seasoned trainers from the Academy battle one another. Join them in the main square for some high-action and high-level battling!

Mesagoza is relatively close to some fun destinations to explore Paldea. Only a short Cyclizar ride away, visit the Poco Path Lighthouse for an amazing view of the South Paldean Sea. Visit a nearby beach while you’re at it! Nearby cities include Los Platos, a small town with beautiful scenery, and Artazon, a city infused with plants and paintings.

Cortondo

Cortondo is famous for the annual Olive Harvest Festival and is the world’s largest exporter of olives, especially their homemade Smoliv Oil, so it makes sense that the city vibrantly celebrates it through the Olive Harvest Festival! The main event of the festival is known as the “olive roll”; it’s so popular, in fact, that it’s the gym test for the Cortondo Gym. The olive roll is believed to bring good harvest for the upcoming year, so when you go to Cortondo and take on the olive roll, which is just on the outskirts of town, be sure to make a wish for a good harvest!

Cortondo is surrounded by vast orchards, known as the Grand Olive Orchard. Here, you can explore Cortondo’s famous olives in a beautiful and fun way! Just north of it, there’s a spot in the South Provence where you have a very scenic view of the orchard. Definitely be sure to have your camera ready because it’s a view you’ll never forget. Also, Cortondo’s Gym Leader, Katy, has a special bakery; visit for some tasty treats!

Levincia

Levincia is very bright city in eastern Paldea. Heavily influenced by glitz, glam, and entertainment, Levincia’s style revolves around its famous streamer and Gym Leader, Iono. At night, bright lights are abundant and billboards are flashing, making Levincia a worthwhile stay if you’re planning on enjoying the nightlife. Local restaurants, shops, and an iconic floating battlefield doused in colorful lights make Levincia a fun place to explore. However, during the day, nearby beaches make for a fun and relaxing vacation spot, and the trek to the Levincia Lighthouse produces a very photogenic view of the booming city.

If you’re planning to stay for more than a day, then you’re in luck, as Levincia has some amazing, luxurious hotels waiting for your visit. Overlooking the East Paldean Sea, Levincia’s luxury hotels allow you close access to the entire city! Especially since the walkway connects to the main battlefield.

West of Levincia in the Eastern Provence (Area Three), there is a sightseeing spot known as the Million Volt Skyline, where you can get a view of the giant city of Levincia. Note that there aren’t very many places where you can get such a clear view of it, making it all the more special. To reach Million Volt Skyline, exit the northern part of Levincia, and travel on the road to Area Three of the Eastern Provence, and after some twists and turns, once you see a ledge facing the city, you’ll see this breathtaking view. It’s definitely a picture worth snapping.

Porto Marinada

In the seaside town of Porto Marinada, the sounds of waves and the smell of the sea are everywhere. In the Porto Marinada Market, an open-air pavilion, you can get tasty seafood snacks, fresh from the Paldean sea. However, the market’s main attraction is the auction house. Here you can have fun competing for items like the locals. Whoever can put forth the most money towards a set of items wins! It’s a fun way to shop while experiencing local culture. Bordering the West Paldean Sea, visiting Porto Marinada is also a great opportunity to visit the ocean for a fun and relaxing day trip. You can also visit the Porto Marinada Lighthouse for an amazing view of the West Paldean Sea.

There are plenty of amazing sights outside of town for you to explore. Eastward, you can find the Colonnade Hollow, a very unique rock formation; this maze-like cave provides some fun exploration and shade on a hot day or shelter in unprecedented weather. Also in the surrounding area, take an adventure into the Asado Desert to explore some of Paldea’s stunning views and take pretty pictures of the breathtaking desert. Due north is Casseroya Lake, a vast waterfront with plenty of areas to explore like Socarrat Trail, Casseroya Islet, and Casseroya Falls. Finally, travel to Cascarrafa, where the specialty restaurant, Kofu Lounge, serves food fresh from Porto Marinada, so it’s definitely worth a visit if you're traveling to the seaside port.

Medali

Paldea is known for its food, and Medali is no stranger to this, as the food is infused into the town’s culture. Nearly every popular restaurant in Paldea can be found here, so your dining options definitely won’t be running out. Some exclusive options include Smochurro, an outdoor treat vendor, Sushi High Roller and Jade Palace Garden, foreign cuisine offered here in Paldea, and Gastromine en Famille, the true fine dining experience. The most famous restaurant in all of Paldea is the Treasure Eatery, located in Medali. Sources claim that the chef at the Treasure Eatery is able to change the Tera type of your Pokémon, though it is only accessible to the strongest of trainers. I bet competitive players visit the Treasure Eatery for a boost in their battling.

Outside of Medali, the city is known for the Dalizapa Passage, an accessible-yet-adventurous way to get to eastern Paldea and the town of Zapapico. During the trek, you will encounter caves, varying terrain, and in Zapapico, you can explore the rugged terrain and participate in an archaeological dig. This makes for an amazing day trip for those in search for exploring all of what Paldea has to offer. Also, nearby Medali is Glaseado Mountain, Paldea’s highest peak, and there’s plenty to explore here. Near the Glaseado Gym, you can partake in skiing, with some people using their Cyclizar as a sled! You can also visit Paldea’s Highest Peak, one of the Ten Sights of Paldea, for an astounding view of the entirety of Paldea.

Conclusion

When you're ready to travel around Paldea, I hope that this guide will help you in your Paldean vacation. Safe travels!
