ok but so does lynching alice

theres no real reason to lynch des when they would be borderline TMI'd town by an alice mafia flip.

and nah i gotta disagree on saber -- saber has already came in with probably the highest level thought in the game so far (until i arrived of course) with the des slip read. that shows me that he is actively reading and solving. I think that puts him at a level above flandrs who is essentially null at this stage.

on pulsar -- i'm really not sure on that but after scumming against as well as spectating pulsar and seeing how disorganized she is as town, i actually pretty strongly tl pulsar for coming out and rejecting your claim in a questionable af way. its on brand for her. if you were scum, on the other hand, im always yeeting you both for sure.

Saber gets town credit for POINTING OUT the scum slip.

But that kind of scum slip is

very very bad and not a good method for choosing a lynch target.

and theres no reason to settle on an info lynch this early in the day lol

because if her slot feels less townish and if des flips mafia we know her teammates won't be around then because there is no way any scumbuddy would let her send the first two posts lol

That is only true if you assume that Des clears every single post past their scum mates, which I have never had a scum team that is that involved.

If that's the case, then why do you want to vote Des at all? Shouldn't you just straight up town read them for making a post that no scum team, outside of a completely uninvolved one, would clear?

i believe that she could be wolf or, as ive mentioned before, scum buddies weren't online then
 
and im ngl i dont buy the scumslip as well, but her early interactions were very awkward. also if she isnt scum shes probably a power role based on her wording but that might be too nitpicky and i could be reading way too much into it

I think if you've narrowed down the worlds in which des is scum to one where they are WW or one with uninvolved partners, that should make you not want to lynch them IMO.

I agree they had a bad open and I had them low in my reads list but I think there is a solid chance that Alice just spewed them town. If Alice is mafia, then a Des lynch can be completely avoided.

If Des is just an info vote to you, you should lay out what conclusions you would draw from different kinds of Des flips because idk what kind of info you hope to reasonably draw.

It's also the case that I genuinely don't think maf!Des is clearing every single post in scumchat before posting. I would expect some general guidance to be there if the scum team is involved but no scum team on smogon that I've ever seen has ever cleared / coached every single post before tbh.

No. Des not claiming can 100% come from VT trying to provide cover. I do not agree with the argument that Des is PR or scum PR at all tbqh.

I assume that's what Lechen is talking about, and frankly I am not settling on an infolynch half way through d1 off of that reasoning lol. I don't care if Lechen is an IC or not.

alice feels better to me then des atm though, will have to see more from both to judge. will keep vote on des rn, we still have 2ish days though

potentially yeah, i went back to look at ToS and among Alice's first posts was on that called out on her scumbuddy for lurking
