Reading back the des claim, it doesn’t really make a ton of sense in even in context. sunny can correct me but it didn’t even seem like an answer to the question, and very much was shoehorned in rather than being a claim or anything else.

At the time of des’s claim, the vote count was

So it seems pretty reasonable to me given that
1. des had previously said they weren’t going to claim
2. des had plenty of previous opportunities to counter claim
3. DBD was the top wagon nearing EoD with no real sign of shifting
that des did it in an effort to discredit bluedoom and save DBD

I will say that in the scenario that des is town I probably would have expected her to claim there because like. Roleblocker is a common mafia(aligned) role so if another person claims it you would claim too because the mafia almost definitely have a roleblocker right?

But well bluedoom flipped town and "mafia almost definitely have a roleblocker" still stands?

Counter claiming isn’t particularly bad in and of itself, but the timing is just atrocious, and there’s a difference between just normal claiming and counter claiming

I'm still thinking on how much to say about it in public but from what I know he went through with it. That said, role thief (which AG claimed in public) is a bit of a scummy role so I still think af is the cleaner looking one between the two.
