Once more. With an HP EV of 29, how many EVs are needed to achieve max lefties on a gyara? Prefferably -230 EVs.

From the analysis:
The magic of the BulkyGyara set is really all in the Effort Values, so allow me to explain them. The spread: 212 HP / 16 Atk / 180 Def / 100 Spe, for 384 HP / 319 Atk / 239 Def / 223 Spe. 384 HP allows for the maximum optimal Leftovers recovery, as it is divisible by 16. 16 Atk EVs grants it its first possible bonus point; 12 would give it only 317 attack. 223 Speed allows it to outspeed max Speed Jolly Garchomp (333) after one Dragon Dance, which would give it 334 Speed. Finally, "the rest" of the EVs go into Defense; 180 is a lot, but it really allows Gyarados to weather repeated hits from Heracross. Speed should be addressed before dumping the rest of the EVs into Defense even if its primarily going to be used defensively.

so yeah, you get your maximum optimal leftovers recovery but lose 3 points of attack, unless you take form defense but then your gyara es less bulky. Can't take from speed for the reason above.

In my opinion, Band staraptor. You'll outspeed most Pokemon you want to outspeed with band, and without Band you're not dealing enough damage.

Is there like a team checklist anywhere? Im trying to build my newest team and I really need to a checklist to see if I have specific stuff.

Hey guys, just asking:

If you breed a genderless Pokemon with Ditto, does the Everstone nature passing effect work only on the Ditto, or the other genderless Pokemon as well?

Where can one get the starters from GSC? I can't think of any way to legitly get them besides the GTS, but I want to know how those people got them.

You mean ingame? when you passed the mount battle challenge in pokemon XD you would get cyndaquil as prize on the first time, then chicorita then totodile. After that you could transfer them from pokemon XD to the GBA games and breed them as needed. To get them in DP they must be pal parked.

crap so that means that I can't get them. Looks like I'm gonna have to wrangle up lvl80 munchlax and lvl100 deoxys somehow >.>

Use the looking for certain pokemon thread in the wifi forum, specify that you don't need them to be certain nature or IVs and wait. Maybe you can get them for free.

I'm not sure if I will get an answer in the research thread, thus I'll ask here.

Does anyone know all of the modifiers to Speed and the order they are applied?

Serebii forum is a really easy place to get like any poke you want, and usually for pretty easy trades.

Just say you need a female ____ for breeding and you'll get a message pretty quick usually with what they want. It's usually a pos you get since it's spare parts from breeding projects, but I would imagine you'd be breeding it anyway yourself so it doesn't matter that much.

Nope, not what I'm looking for. I want to know everything that affects the Speed stat such as paralysis and Iron Ball and the order in which they are applied. Yes, it may only be important for the Gyro Ball formula in my damage calculator, but I am otherwise curious and don't know where to find it.
