hal-It's mostly the fact that we both saw similar things wrt Celever, I think the capacity for this to be mafia exists but presumably 1) they will create more content if things skew dire, and 2) I just think there's better votes? like I frankly don't see hal as a PUSHER of the celever wagon, the momentum for that came from elsewhere

would it not be good for you to try and interact with them to see where their heads are at considering the "20 or so steps behind [solving] in slightly different ways"

-sure faking progression is an important skill but there’s levels to it and I’d consider skipper to be more the type to take a stance in the conversation at hand, you’re right in that it’s low stakes but why stick out yk

-i got bored wis, flandrs felt and continues like a nonentity after that point

-so for joey i have not one idea where to start to even begin to try to get him to think im not scum, and it’s daunting to try to do so when already at a baseline you are aware of the fact that they don’t trust you
-for skipper i feel like engaging with him face to face is like pulling teeth, with the last time i did it being me scum/them town, but frankly i don’t really think the alignment changes how enjoyable the discussion is.

These thoughts won't result in a read but you'll get a sense of the things I'm seeing that I'm not loving. They're also not complete -- there's other stuff that I'm looking at which I don't want to share right now.

NE is an odd slot right now because you have:
-Hard defended by wist
-Hard defends wist
-main cw on day 1, and i guess the fairy kill, if you are reading into that
-in a weird spot threadwise where I really think a lot of people have been avoiding the slot entirely

1. The defense on wist feels know-y and pocket-y. This is like the biggest one for me. I get that he thinks he has a soulread on someone -- but in thread it just constantly feels like he's lovebombing wist into reciprocating and it just comes off so hard when it's not necessary at all. Nobody's running up wist outside of AP
2. He is actually like the weirdest slot in the game in terms of interactions. like it really feels like nobody is willing to come out and just talk about NE
3. I was actively rethinking Cel's alignment (obviously ultimately came to the wrong conclusion) after tracker claim + self vote. While I think NE just fucked off and found, like, literally one random turbo game between him and wist which he used as justification for having a soulread on wist? Which is unsatisfactory not only as a participant on the wagon but also is kind of a bad way to justify having a soulread on wist through, legitimately, one turbo game?

How many games have you played together? How many times have you been t/t, t/s, s/t, s/s? Do turbo games even count I don't really play them and I don't think so?
4. I find his ISO's completely ineffective. This ISO from skipper is actually very bad. Has anyone actually read it? And if the analysis is so bad here, why is there so much confidence in his wist vote?

All this being said, and the feeling that something could be here, I think this is completely outweighed by the fact that my last game with NE he was scum (albeit in exam season) and that looked completely different from what's here. While in exam season and scum he was checking on the thread when he had time, and not posting because he wanted to prep like large posts. And here even though he obviously has some personal problem with stardew valley or whatever the fuck, he's just constantly popping into thread yapping about random shit

Which feels tonally very different from his scumgame. But then I don't like the random shit he yaps about. So this is a rough slot for me to sort.

Angrypissant I'm trying to sort out my genuine dislike for armchair detectives like him and Yeti where they follow this shit pattern of "Things happen, and I come in as a non-participant and be actively rude towards participants and impose a completely reductive worldview from a moral high ground I've not earned at all" and his alignment in the game.

1306 is such a bad post. Like, legitimately, what is that town core? Why is Joey in the neon core? Why is he not pushing me and instead constantly looking like he's trying to flip onto some other target -- he clearly does write cases (he just wrote one on M2H), but his vote is on me and he hasn't tried to write anything convincing about my alignment at all?

I'm also struggling with this feeling that it's /so weird/ that M2H came after me for his level 1 "strong players didn't get killed n1" bs instead of AP. I think he's probably second to NE for having weird interactions with others because it feels like his reads are so disconnected from the rest of the thread but somehow nobody feels like they are pushing him on it? Outside of wist?

AP scumreading NE is like legitimately a top reason that I'm keeping NE in my townlists

I'm obviously conscious of the practical optics of voting this right after Cel.

I'm going to quote this post to collect all of my thoughts together.

These last 5 pages have been completely unhelpful to me.
-I've learned that NE is 0/2 on reading wis
-NE gave an ISO on wis which I read and in which I was totally unconvinced of his wis town lock that early on
-Wis said that they were working on a NE ISO which I've not seen
-M2H, like, said he was going to ISO evie and flanders, asked if he's being townread to NE, and just fucked off?
-Somehow nobody still is talking about AP even though I feel like we all think his reads have come out of nowhere
-Wis wants to vote, like, skip? NE wants neon/CK?

There's 5 hours to deadline, there's one vote that's not on me which is Joey voting NE, and I'm pretty annoyed by where everything's at.
