Chemdah said he targeted Evie/NE because he would know right away if they were lying, but NEITHER Evie nor NE had claimed on D1, so there is no possible way Chemdah targeted them for the reason he says on N1. He lied about why he targeted NE on N1.

This almost feels like a noobtown mistake to me. "NE was the main wagon competing with Celever, and Celever flipped town, so I wanted to find out more about that slot" is a perfectly valid reason to target NE with his role... but instead he retcons it into this? Either it's a weird anxiety-induced town lie or it's a literal scumslip, but I'm gonna say scumslip and continue to encourage a flip here.
