I guess I havent said that yet, but I also saw it that way. It reads like distancing from a decision that maf made. Its like "I would never pick Hyhy, therefore Im not maf".

I kind of scum fairy but I know fairy is someone I tend to find scummy due to playstyle/personality diff, so Im not too confident on that.

Skipper is scum ya. At least I very much hope so cause if hes town then my emotional gutreads are way off. I actually wanted to keep a lid on this read cause I dont want to give away what made me scum him. For me its not only a lack of typical town posts from Skip but also general sense of nervousness I get from him.
 
catching up, when I do I am gonna mass ping everyone that hasnt posted because it feels like most of the game lmao

btw i think the viewing into "who would give the gun to hydro" or "i would give the gun to x" is mostly useless because its not really a HUGE decision and a team of 6 makes it that so many opinions are weighing in anyways its not going to be easily assigned to any one player

I should read his post again but obv his biggest read was on me. It is kind of important because Clouds was maf in Jalmonts game and he was the 1/4 who fooled me pretty good. Kinda buddied me there. So him coming in and towning me is significant because its a continuation of his play in SmallStreet. I dont remember his other reads aside from Flandrs=scummy so Ill recheck him

I disagree with Flandrs scum, but I can sympathize with the read. Clouds basically scumreads Flandrs for the same reason I scumread fairy: their initial post feels forced or attempting to fake towncred. I think Flandrs specifically talking about role PMs I think is more likely a town complaint. Sure he could just be making it up, but I find that less likely.

Im kind of surprised you dont think Ive said anything townie after I parroted a lot of your reads. But Ive also accepted that after EGO Mafia there will be a contingent of people eyeing me with suspicion. And sense there is no NK in this game I wont be surprised at all when someone does paranoia me.

ftr in general its good to like try force content even if youre struggling and find it hard to reads afks

it is true that its harder to make reads and produce content early, but when you start its a basis to produce more content on top of that, the quicker the baseline layer is made (even if you feel its half nonsense) the better

i dont hate shooting an afk idea as a policy thing though because it is always pro town to have active endgames, but it is also a bit sadge when this becomes necessary, and also shooting afks means we actually DONT get much more content or to go off from the kill as opposed to an active player so it is generally best if everyone just steps it up for town in a big way

i feel like youre right its a hard game if youre just getting used to the basics of normal nocs, but tbh popcorn tends to be like a lot less punishing imo for misreads than normal games, everything is inflated and town gets a lot more misses and even though its obviously bad to miss you always get a clear off a bad shot worst case scenario so for new palyers coming in, i think it can actually be kind of cool to be able to just follow your own reads, especially early when town is always miles off a potential lylo and you dont have to worry about scum manipulating wagons etc

it does make it a lot harder for wolves to unite though and distancing is a lot more encouraged since one player acting up (which will happen a lot) when they have to gun can potentially destroy all of mafias big plans so you dont want to all be like, in a blob working together
 
HydrogenHydreigon I townread Des in particular off her entrance, but also Flandrs for his. Im less confident about Flandrs because his post could have been reactionary to the talk about Des, but I also think its a risky move for him to make as maf in particular.

I feel good enough about these 2 that Id pretty much never shoot them if I had the gun.

ftr while this is like something that tends to be brought up a lot in popcron games "shoot me i want to shoot x"

it is still really bad for town if townys take this kind of idea, because every time town is shot we lose a member and thats bad for us, it is like a thing people often say that "wow you dont want to die/youre defensive, must be mafia"

but as either alignment dying is a losecon, so just a fair warning to townies you should NOT be trying to get shot (im sure people will anyways but the less the better)
