I just arrived at work so its my turn to make half baked posts.

I do townread Tommy. I feel like his presence has been mostly interacting with newer players and trying to helpfully answer questions. Different vibes than when he was maf and kind of clowned on the thread in Smallstreet.

I guess my read on Tommy is more about what is missing than whats there. Tbh I have no idea why Texas wants him out so bad

I can't really articulate it properly, it's very vibes based on how some of his posts have reflected against my expectation of him and meta knowledge of how he reacts to things or should have knowledge about. It's a low confidence shot
 
I forget who said it but re: Texas v Celly being town v town I think it’s a very real possibility so I didn’t mean to fan the flames there, was just doing some thinking out loud

Seems like everyone and their mom things skipper is maf. I haven’t really seen it that way tbh, feels like to me there was a big bandwagon/dogpile on the guy so I’m still unsure and waiting for more to be said from him

a fairy though reads as scummy to me. I feel like a lot of her posts are just like an activity check so she doesn’t get accused of laying too low, while simultaneously not bringing much “content” to the table
 
i think celever texas is t/t who are both misjudging each other

joey's slot is peculiar since he dropped a lot of fluff early in the game about whether des is town or scum which is not particularly helpful at that point, as well as saying a clouds shot was off the table in #171

Btw why celever of the active people over others

I’m ngl it feels like vast majority of the game has decent content so I do think this inactive narrative has been a little overplayed to now, there are one or two exceptions obviously

But aside from that generally it does harm town a lot more to kill the activity and it’s like one of the best fun strategies to take out the activity early game to let yourself run the thread kid to late so just heads up if you are town that shooting all the actives is like definitely helping maid long term (if you don’t end up killing the mafia)

It comes down to the conclusions he’s drawing are too strong for the justification he’s put behind them. The wording of his justifications is pretty absolute, he’s writing discursively and with sway, but the content of the justifications is pretty insufficient.

That’s why I’ll apologise if I’m wrong because if he is just town putting this much effort and WIM into things then it would feel bad asf to shoot him. And I think that’s what he’s gunning (hehe) for, every gunman will psych themselves out of actually shooting him because he is playing so high effort.

OTOH there’s an argument that it’s a low risk shot, particularly early in the game, because he’s either done or looks like he’s done the most solving in the game of anyone so far. Where most players are mulling about with only a couple reads at most, Texas has cast a wide net and has some confident conclusions despite the early game state. That’s a better gunman than most players right now. Does scum!Texas do that analysis, idrk. It’s a very gamebotty pov anyway, probably not one he’d expect town to land on early in the game so even if he considered it the risk vs reward would still give heavy scum incentive to play like this.

He didn’t push back on my game theory about how town should play this game, which is the opposite of how he’s playing it, which I feel like he should’ve done if he had the amount of conviction in his solving that he portrays he does in his posts. Yes it was a reaction test. What I said is technically true though, I’m not putting my undercooked takes in this thread til I’ve got the gun

If anything Texas is mafia for not doing enough imo, as town he normally does way more, though it’s been a while and I’m not fully expecting him to tryhard as he used to so hard to be certain

The second paragraph of this post is the best part but it’s sandwiched by things that seem to contradict it, if you’re randomly giving strong opinions without justification then you’re not really tryharding and it’s not high wim it’s spamming strong opinions without the care to justify and lazy play

4th paragraph is bad if you have a scumread own it but you’re good enough to know that shooting town is bad, we currently have a good player with the gun shooting Texas as mafia means we get a good player with the gun still only we have lost hydro, plus it would mean Texas doesn’t make it late who if town could be a great asset - if you think he’s mafia then yes sure fine but don’t try play it off as a win win you don’t get to pretend to fall for the newbie traps

I’m not as convinced as you realiti is mafia (I don’t even think realiti is mafia in fact)

But yeah realiti said clouds could be mafia once in one line and now is trying to get lock cleared, that’s obviously not the case and he knows that himself and is definitely the most suspicious of anything he’s done he’s been towny outside that

Overall credit for being right and I think he’s more likely to be town but he’s obviously not lock cleared for some light distancing early day 1 in a setup that encourages a lot of distancing before clouds was ever considered as a shot
