I’m not sure why you want “hot takes” btw but I’ve no real hot takes to give rn beyond what I’ve said so far, I’d leave both celever and Texas alive till middle game
Flanders is the best shot, skipper is a fine shot, pulsar and des are playing in a way that they have made themselves must shoot at some point once one of them has the gun I would prefer they just chain each other and get the people not really playing out in one section

It is importing we like try force ourselves to post more Ftr, I think there’s a decent chance the idle hurts down more emotionally than like mechanically
Technically town is still “up/winning”, but it’s an emotional low to have a kill idle out, I know hydro did shoot mafia but if you’re just guys you don’t need to wait to the end of deadline, just shoot in the 48 hours we don’t need the game to last over a month anyways with everyone taking max time.
Entering coach/ game theory Tommy mode again but it’s instances like this where players outside reads itself come to the front. The momentum was in towns favour, but something like this can swing momentum back to mafia if town stop trying and giving reads etc, wim “wants it more” is actually one of the most important things as both alignments.
I’m also like kinda trying to force myself forward a bit more now too but just as a forewarning to town to like, keep pushing anyways and keep the thread active so you don’t make yourself an easier target and then mafia also doesn’t look better compared to you, effort is always key.

Bluedoom a little scummy I think, he’s not contributing/solving too hard, ngl I completely ghosted his questions to me d1 and he didn’t care LOL, I was expecting him to chase me up, but yeah that’s just a side note overall I think he’s giving less than usual
Airc I thought had some towny posts but not

Miyami and Evie are like the towniest of the newer players I’ve not met before surface level, obviously I’ve no meta but I’d not shoot them
Des pulsar can get shot for not really trying

Skipper/joey I am not really able to read either way rn I wouldn’t mind if someone shot them but not a priority for me

Dbd id still lean mafia but I do think I am a little biased against him over like a certain period and I recognise that he’s killed fairly regularly and I haven’t played that much in recent times so maybe I’m making a mistake others are but I still think just looking at him to his face he seems scummy
Phoopes I believe emotionally is town, he seems to genuinely be trying to solve, and I think that’s been under appreciated by thread and made out he’s trying less than he is - and I think his response to all this is believable because I agree that he is doing best (and well tbh, for a new player), his denial/assertations off these just seems like mistreated town to me

“Mostly” what’s changed?
i townlean realiti a bit less based off of how much they have been tunneling skipper. not saying i disagree with the read, i just think hard tunneling one person isn’t incredibly helpful to town.

Not sure how to read AP getting the gun tbh, especially if their reads are pretty well set like they said. One of the more talkative (or at least memorable) people in the thread to me. But with your reads being what they are, does this mean that you’re going to shoot early AngryPidgeon? I’d prefer that to missing the deadline lol but not toooo early
At this point mafia want the fun to go to someone active/towny/strong that also is unlikely to shoot mafia first
The second bit is obvious, but the first bit is like ap is going to leave the game soon now which is obviously bad for town which is why he would get picked, mafia think his short term is likely to miss and his long term is going to be stronger likely so they are removing his long term
Highk he was the entire list it just felt very probable I’d tinfoil into a AP shoot if I was given the gun at some point
people you would hero shoot or people who would hero shoot?
Do we be boring and “order” (advocate for) the gun holders to do the optimal thing and shoot in the inactive / hard to read pool
It’s better to do it sooner rather than later but also AP is good at reads sometimes (and sometimes not) so yk
Summat he said made me think he was gonna shoot someone from the general showdown sphere of mafia players which is interesting I wonder if it’s AirC
I still think AirC’s town but I also think regardless of alignment he’s making lategame in most worlds so it would def be an interesting hero shoot

I think it’s hard asf to decide on so I’ll just talk about what my brain’d do if I had the gun
The macro this game is kinda fucked up rn cos almost no one who’s been accused has been townread more than they’ve been scumread. What I would do is look at notable “wagons” (skipper, Miyami, frankly myself, DBD, Flandrs, I think others) and create a table of all players’ reads on these people with whether they townread scumread or mixed their reads up on each player
Whoever is the most polarised (I.e. townreading everyone or scumreading everyone) becomes the PoE after sanity checking and then move into the micro reads on them to triage your first shot
And if people mixed reads on everyone that counts for getting into PoE too
I haven’t done this work to know who’s polarised yet and don’t trust my memory (I have some sorta rough guesses like I think Joey’s polarised here)
So that looks vague but I also think we’re at the stage in the game where communicating that strategy makes sense we’ve lowk started a good number of wagons that all/most active players took a side on
