  • Pokémon Diamond/Pearl Damage Calculator by AMF - This online calculator shows the damage at every random number and includes pretty much everything, but it doesn't show percentages. It's simple and very easy to use for quick calculations if you remember/calculate the stats with something else.

I'll tell you right now: it doesn't work properly in my Internet Explorer 7.0, but it worked fine in Firefox.
  • Pokemon Resource by yours truly - I know it sounds like I'm tooting my own horn, but the damage calculator in my resource shows the damage at every random number and shows percentages. It has no Double Battle functionality, though. It's idiot-proof, for the most part. It's also more complex than the other two and (IMO) MetalKid's. It was also made in Microsoft Excel; you'll have to download it. If you don't have Excel, well, it'll still open in OpenOffice, but some work has to be done to make it work properly. I should have an OpenOffice version available come next update.
Crap, just looking at the length of each description, that seems biased, but oh well. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. (I did make more of an effort to show the weaknesses of my calculator, though.)

EDIT: Oh, check Contributions and Corrections for other D/P Damage Calculators. Xenon has one as well as timw06 (sp?) and Obi, among others.

It's the better route to follow. You will want Hidden Power [Ice], but you will need patience. To be honest, I'd advise you to just use Dragon Pulse instead. Timid or Modest are the best options.
 
Modest or Timid hp Grass, there's already a very good electric and several ice Heatrans.

Q. Is Grass/Psychic/Fight good coverage? If not I'll be tossing my Shaymin. =\
 
I have a question about soft reseting while hatching eggs. Basically, am I right? When the old man has the egg, nature, ability and gender are already determined, but IVs are determined when the egg hatches?

No, the IVs are set once you receive the egg from the old man. The rest is right.

Um my Milotic's spread is
148 HP IV of 31
232 Defense IV of 27
128 Sp. Atk IV of 29

But that only reaches 266 Sp.Atk... Should I take 12 points from defense so that it has enough to kill Garchomp?
 
My other question about the raikou team is still open for suggestions but heres another im having trouble with...

How to utilize yanmega extremely well..I need some tips for making a team with yan as the spc. sweeper, hes one of my fav. pokes, but I'm having trouble building a solid team with him..

Well, it's hard to sweep well with Yanmega. His defenses aren't horrible, but a little under par. (Mainly considering Special Defense)

You could always go with a Special Sweeper moveset, Substitute, Bug Buzz, Air Slash, and HP Ice/Ground. Or, Choice Specs. It kind of depends on your team.

You could also Sub-Pass to Yanmega from a Vaporeon.
 
Not sure if this has been asked before, but...

Let's say I have Porygon2 as a lead. My opponent has Yanmega.

I use Magic Coat to bounce back the hypnosis and put Yanmega to sleep.

My opponent swaps in Breloom.

I use Magic Coat, they use spore. On shoddy Sleep Clause would prevent Breloom from falling asleep. So would my magic coat fail and I would be hit by the spore, or would it still protect me from status and non put breloom asleep?
 
I got a good question.... If my opponent has an opponent asleep and I then use Yawn is it there duty to swap out so as to not have me break sleep clause or should I just not be able to use yawn in the first place?

You shouldn't be allowed to Yawn in that case.

It's pretty good, being resisted only by Celebi, Exeggutor, Latios/Latias, Lugia, Xatu, and Shedinja. Only Celebi is OU out of those iirc.
