Very confused how you don't have reads on me and phoopes at this point. Also just saying town/scum is not that helpful if you aren't going to explain why. Also agreed with af btw that phoopes saying af is "wishy-washy and noncommittal" is just bizarre after their very detailed reads list >_>. Fwiw I do mostly have a good vibe on phoopes today but I do think that one comment stuck out and I'm still pretty neutral on him overall.

Absolutely baffled by this. Bluedoom has done literally nothing all game and you think the people suspicious of them are suspicious??? It's hard for me to believe scum would be this brazen defending their buddy (or a mislynch they know is gonna happen) but idk the meta here and I really cannot fathom the logic here if DbD is town

i agree that we can't bring AFKs to the endgame but you've completely strawmanned what i'm saying here - we have 2 afks in liquid and bluedoom, both of which we can hope come back to life or vote them off when we have voting space to spare. right now, we don't have that breathing room

This is so weaksauce. Voting for someone at midday when they have 3 votes on them is not saying "we NEED to kill all the AFKs RIGHT NOW." It encourages bluedoom to come and contribute under threat of lynch. Like I don't think anyone would discount the idea of lynching someone other than bluedoom today, but saying "we cannot be content with lynching bluedoom today" is literally just giving them a pass to ghost the game for the next 24 hours.

"We can vote them off when we have the breathing room" is wishful thinking at best. We should not expect that we are going to get more breathing room than we already have in the future -- even if we lynch mafia we are still losing a townie at night and the differential between scum and town does not change. Of course there are ways to change it (vig, protects, etc) but they are not guaranteed to work. I also don't understand why you think we don't have breathing room right now, if we have 5 mafia we can still mess up twice and not lose. I'm not saying "we should lynch whoever cuz we have two lifelines so it doesn't matter," obviously. But like we have room to spare here and this false urgency is a really bad justification to let the lurkers off.

I guess this is an established thing here, but I just want to say this is a totally new concept to me and very interesting. I mean like I understand the concept of team morale obviously, but the idea of analyzing it to generate reads is cool. Smogmaf is cooking with this one. Also when I saw WIM originally I read it as "wine in me" and thought "ah, this is what happens when you drink the WIFOM I guess"
 
Sorry I haven't been chimpposting btw, there's been a ton to read up on and I have not had the bandwidth to search up good pictures of chimps. Like I just need to have my mafia brain turned on every time I'm interacting with the thread. I'm going to save the chimps for the most opportune moments I think. When there's a really good situation for a chimp I will seize it. Like a chimp seizes a banana. Or its own poo.

To address your first point, I know bluedoom is capable of far more than what he is currently outputting and considering we have another, equally viable, AFK target with less upside in liquid as well as a smattering of personal scumreads, coagulating on one AFK voter to me seems like an attempt to push them off under the radar.

We gain no information from an AFK vote, and as I detailed, WIM stays at dire levels. If Bluedoom isn't contributing when they have 3 votes on them either, you can reasonably assume that they will not rejoin the thread until they get IRL or whatever's stopping them from contributing sorted out. We can't be content with lynching Bluedoom today because of the upside we lose as well as all the negatives of an AFK lynch.
 
An AFK lynch is not negative if the AFK is actually scum though. I have absolutely seen scum pull this play. Maybe that's uncharacteristic of bd, idk. I certainly don't want to count anything out at this point. I would never object to people getting on liquid too but given the active 1v1 thing going on between Psy and Tommy I think having two AFKs and two people in the 1v1 is splitting ourselves too thin.

im tempted to be performative and call you a trash player, but instead ill say that a redirect could redirect anything below its priority (90+% of actions) and not redirect a neighborizer that could resolve at higher priority, and the redirect can still be useful
