NFE Glimmet [QC 1/1] [GP 0/1]

Glimmet @ Eviolite
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Power Gem
- Toxic

In a tier with very limited hazard removal, Glimmet corrodes the metagame with its hazards! Glimmet is one of the best hazard setters thanks to its ability to set both Stealth Rock and the rare Spikes while having respectable bulk. Defog users, mainly Fletchinder and Vullaby, are heavily pressured by Glimmet, which threatens them with super effective STAB Power Gem and can Toxic them if needed. Although Quaxwell fears being poisoned, it can still threaten Glimmet and remove hazards with Rapid Spin. Because of this, Dusclops and Drakloak are strong teammates, deterring Rapid Spin while providing valuable utility. Hattrem is the most troublesome hazard detterent, as it is immune to everything except Power Gem and can threaten Glimmet back with STAB Psychic moves. Pokémon like Tinkatuff, Scraggy, and Stunky are excellent partners, switching into Hattrem and threatening it with Knock Off. Its bulk and utility enables Glimmet to set up hazards against defensive Pokémon such as Tinkatuff, Koffing, Ivysaur, and Dusclops. Glimmet fits perfectly on offensive teams that take full advantage of hazard pressure. Set-up sweepers such as Thwackey, Monferno, and Fraxure can boost with Swords Dance and clean once their checks are sufficiently chipped by Glimmet's entry hazards. Glimmet also pairs well on screens teams, acting as a lead that sets hazards before Morgrem or Drakloak set up the screens.

The combination of Corrosion and Toxic allows Glimmet to poison Tinkatuff, a very common switch-in that attempts to set its own hazards or remove Glimmet’s item with Knock Off. Piloswine, another common Pokémon in the metagame, outspeeds Glimmet and threatens it with a STAB Ground-type move while also being able to set up its own Stealth Rock. Quaxwell and Seadra pair well with Glimmet by checking Piloswine, with Quaxwell additionally providing hazard removal if needed. (always needed in this tier). Glimmet fits perfectly on offensive teams that take full advantage of hazard pressure. Set-up sweepers such as Thwackey, Monferno, and Fraxure can boost with Swords Dance and clean once their checks are sufficiently chipped by Glimmet's entry hazards. Glimmet also pairs well on screens teams, acting as a lead that sets hazards before Morgrem or Drakloak set up the screens. the only thing i would add is mentioning how it can use its defensive profile to set up hazards on different pokemon like tinkatuff, koffing, ivysaur, etc. i would add this in the section that you already have about tinkatuff. i would also somehow include the rarity of spikes, especially having both rocks and spikes

Glimmet is one of the best hazard setters thanks to its ability to set both Stealth Rock and the rare Spikes while having respectable bulk. This is even more crucial taking into account that only a bunch of Pokémon can set up Spikes within NFE. Hopefully this will suffice. If you have any questions Mirbro dm me
