Name: Manglraze
Type: Grass/Ground
Stats: 120/100/125/55/115/30 BST: 545
Abilities: Harvest, Dark Aura, Rooted Pasture: Gives the effect of Ingrain to this Pokemon and its ally on switch in
Important Moves: Earthquake, Bulldoze, Land’s Wrath, Rototiller, Horn Leech, Seed Bomb, Wood Hammer, Leech Seed, Aromatherapy, Synthesis, Ingrain, Knock Off, Foul Play, Night Slash, Crunch, Parting Shot, Hone Claws, Body Press, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Roar, Outrage, Iron Head

Bulky Support (Manglraze) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rooted Pasture
  • Earthquake
  • Knock Off/ Horn Leech
  • Foul Play/ Stealth Rock/ Roar/ Leech Seed
  • Parting Shot

Bulky Sweeper (Manglraze) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rooted Pasture
  • Earthquake
  • Wood Hammer/ Horn Leech
  • Stone Edge/ Knock Off
  • Hone Claws
Make Bulky Support more common*

Design Analysis: Manglraze is based on the mangelwurzle plant. They root themselves into the ground and consume large livestock like cows in order to release dark energy that feeds other nearby livestock.

Competitive Analysis: Manglraze is a very powerful defensive Pokemon with its signature ability Rooted Pasture essentially giving it a built in leftovers and immunity to phazing in exchange for being unable to switch without using Parting Shot. Manglraze can serve as a strong glue Pokemon for Bulky Offense and Balance teams with its strong defensive stats, typing and access to great utility moves in Knock Off, Stealth Rock, Foul Play, Roar, Leech Seed, and most importantly a slow parting shot. While a less powerful set, they can also take advantage of the built in Ingrain to sweep with Hone Claws.

Everyone wish Yvonne a BIG Happy Birthday!!! Here's Prompt 9: Yvonneon!

Name: Yvonneon
Type:

1792199504331.png

Base Stats:
95 HP / 55 Atk / 85 Def / 120 SpAtk / 135 SpDef / 60 Spe / 550 BST
Abilities: Cute Charm, Moral Support, Pixilate
Moral Support: When this Pokemon or their allies have status cured, this Pokemon gains +1 SpAtk. This effect can only happen twice per switch-in.
Important Moves: All of Sylveon's SV moves, Fleur Cannon, Sparkly Swirl, Overheat, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Flamethrower, Sizzly Slide, Will-O-Wisp, Trick, Encore, Heal Bell, Universal moves (Protect, Rest, etc.)

  • Forever Green: These Pokémon love to make others happy. They'll do anything to bring joy to the world, even if they are affected in the process.
Bulky Support (Yvonneon) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Moral Support
- Sparkly Swirl
- Flamethrower
- Wish
- Protect

Bulky Setup (Yvonneon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Moral Support
- Sparkly Swirl
- Flamethrower
- Draining Kiss
- Calm Mind
It's Yvonne's birthday today! It falls in the month of October, so I'd say it fits for the prompt. For the coders, please make sure that Yvonneon is 100% female. Yvonneon is a regional evolution of Sylveon found only in the lands northeast of Unova. Upon evolving, Yvonneon gains the Fire-type and access to many new strong moves.

Yvonneon's main allure is access to the incredibly powerful Sparkly Swirl. With this, she can act as a powerful cleric keeping the team healthy, especially so when paired with Wish. Sparkly Swirl has amazing synergy with her signature ability in Moral Support. Whenever Yvonneon attacks with Sparkly Swirl, she will grow in strength assuming anyone on the team was statused. Flamethrower and other STAB Fire-type attacks pair well with Sparkly Swirl, dealing with the Steel-types that resist the latter. Of course, Yvonneon is still walled by Fire-types. Last I checked she didn't like it when things are on fire, so this checks out. Calm Mind gives Yvonneon the chance to become a devastating sweeper with access to strong STAB attacks and the ability to not be worn down by status effects. The builder format gives Yvonneon even more options, such as Sizzly Slide to spread burns and the niche Psycho Shift. Yvonneon can opt for the Toxic Orb held item to self activate Moral Support, quickly accumulating boosts and pairing decently with Psycho Shift to spread bad poison to enemies. Looking for the cutest cat to act as a bulky team-wide cleric and powerful breaker? Yvonneon will be your moral support!
Thank you for taking the time to read, and don't forget to vote for Yvonneon if you like her and think she'd improve the format!

Height: 1.5 m (4'11")
Weight: 0.1 kg (0.2 lbs)
Born from the pure essence of autumn moonlight, Mafest spends its life gracefully floating just above the tree line. Legend says it was once a mortal creature that accidentally consumed a sacred, glowing medicine meant for the heavens. The potion permanently stripped away its gravity, forcing it to wave a bittersweet farewell to the earth as it drifted up into the stars. On cool autumn nights, it visits festival grounds to gently cast blessings of longevity and health upon families gathering below.
Mafest is heavily based on the Mid-Autumn Festival and the famous Chinese folklore of Chang'e, the Moon Goddess. Its Dark/Fairy typing represents the duality of her story—the tragic, lonely separation from her husband (Dark) combined with her sudden transformation into an immortal, elegant lunar deity (Fairy). Its remarkably low weight reflects her sudden weightlessness after consuming the elixir of immortality.

I'm very proud of myself. This image really looks magical, hope it shows an improvement in my art!
Now, you may ask, "Where's the custom detail?"
Well, I have created a Custom Item, called the Mooncake! (yes, the Mooncake)
1792284171181.png
(I was too lazy this time to draw it)
If held by a Mafest, when the holder's HP drops to 1/4 or less, it consumes the Mooncake to sharply raise its Special Defense by 2 stages and cures any status conditions. Single use.

If you want to find out the story of Chang'e, here it is!
Long ago, the Earth had ten suns that took turns lighting up the sky. But one day, all ten suns decided to come out at the exact same time! The weather became so dangerously hot that the ground cracked, rivers dried up, and people could no longer grow food.
A heroic and incredibly strong archer named Hou Yi saved the world. He climbed to the top of a high mountain with his magical bow and arrow and shot down nine of the suns, leaving just one to keep the Earth warm.

Because he saved humanity, a powerful goddess rewarded Hou Yi with a special elixir of immortality. If a person drank it, they would become a god and float up to heaven forever.
However, there was only enough potion for one person. Hou Yi loved his beautiful wife, Chang'e, more than anything and refused to leave her behind on Earth. Instead of drinking it, he asked Chang'e to hide the potion safely inside their home.

Hou Yi took on a student named Fengmeng to teach him archery. But Fengmeng was greedy and secretively wanted the potion for himself.
One day, while Hou Yi was out hunting, Fengmeng broke into their house with a weapon and demanded that Chang'e give him the elixir. Chang'e knew she couldn't defeat the thief, and she didn't want a bad person to have the power of a god. In desperation, she drank the entire potion herself so he couldn't get it!

The moment she swallowed it, her body became completely weightless. She began to float right out the window and up into the starry night sky.
Because she wanted to stay as close as possible to her husband on Earth, she chose to land on the Moon, where she became the beautiful Goddess of the Moon. She built a palace there, and her only companion was a magical Jade Rabbit who stays by her side.
When Hou Yi came home and discovered what happened, he was deeply heartbroken. He went out into the garden, set up a table under the bright full moon, and put out all of Chang'e's favorite sweet cakes and fruits to honor her.

That is why today, people eat round mooncakes and look up at the full moon during the autumn festival—to remember Chang'e and her ultimate sacrifice!

“I'm not a human or a devil. I'm just a bomb.”
  • Mega Evolution: "Upon pulling the Grenade Pin from my neck, I will unleash my full power as the Bomb Devil, one of the strongest and most feared devils in existence. This form comes with a custom ability I've both created for and named after it, enabling my explosive moves to wreak more destruction than ever before! In addition to this, my primary type will change to Steel upon transforming, and my stat distribution will be brought significantly closer to a jack-of-all-stats in build. Aside from my offenses and Speed each gaining a ten-point boost, my defensive stats also see significant improvement, though my weakness to Ground-type attacks will also be more prominent - perhaps in compensation for how formidable I'll have become in both long- and close-range combat."

Reasoning:

"For those wondering what I have to do with the prompt I'm submitting this application for, I'll let you in on a little secret... I'm not actually a friendly coffee shop employee like you might assume, but a Russian soldier specialized in espionage. As it happens, Russia has not one, but two public holidays in October that are associated with the military: Ground Forces Day on October 1, and the Day of Special Forces of the Armed Forces on October 24. Hopefully this little bit of trivia would be a good enough reason for my audition to be accepted for the prompt! As for my actual justifications, the scope of my... actions... while in service should be more than enough to justify the Dark type - that, and the fact that I have been fused with the Bomb Devil that is the basis for my 'Mega Evolution' and its custom ability of the same name. By extension, I believe my association with violent explosions would make Fire an obvious choice for my secondary type, don't you agree? Being a member of my country's army also justified Steel as the primary typing for my Bomb Devil self, which is themed around wartime ordinance and uses plenty of torpedoes, missiles, mortar shells, and more. My movepool in turn reflects this by way of pulling from both Foretress and Turtonator, with a wide variety of ball and bomb moves to which my Bomb Devil ability will grant additional destructive force - honestly, I was pretty tempted to just go with Bulletproof, but that is more for protection against such moves, while I fancy myself as being more focused on offense than defense, especially in my base 'form'.

"On the topic of abilities, each of the standard ones I chose is also reflective of my power set in canon. Regenerator refers to my ability to heal from virtually any injury, even detonating myself entirely, as long as I have consumed any blood that's been spilled, which also explains the addition of several HP-draining attacks to my movepool. This was also my lore reason for giving myself Flash Fire, though I mainly included it to give myself a usable ability for my Nasty Plot set, as befitting someone of my true occupation. As for Aftermath... well, I don't think that one needs any explanation whatsoever, even if it would probably be the least useful of the three due to only going off upon my demise! I could've used Innards Out instead due to its effect being similar, but I figured leaving my killer with a flat one-fourth less of their maximum HP would be marginally less situational."

Competitive Info:
9010641bb151bf80d04b1ff5a99dbc17.jpg

"Dark/Fire is a very useful typing for all sorts of purposes thanks to its excellent defensive profile as well as its nigh-unstoppable attack spread, and it's a bit of a shame that it's present on only three fully evolved Pokémon in canon. Furthermore, all of these are offensive specialists with utility as a bit of a sideshow - and they each also seem to prefer either physical or special attacks, but not both. My build is somewhat more utility-focused than any of them, in no small part thanks to Regenerator, though with equally high Attack and Special Attack as well as above-average Speed, if push comes to shove, I can certainly serve as a very dangerous mixed sweeper/wallbreaker hybrid as well. When it comes to support options, I'm actually quite spoiled for choice, with Recover, Taunt, Strength Sap, Parting Shot, Iron Defense, Will-O-Wisp, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Protect, and Substitute all having their own uses, so it'd really depend on what specific needs haven't already been filled by someone else. Parting Shot in particular allows me to double as an offensive utility pivot, and the stat drops it can saddle my opponent with will only add to the chaos I'll be leaving behind upon retreating. Should battle be inevitable, however, I will not hesitate to make use of both my hard-hitting STAB moves, including Dark Pulse, Night Slash, Fire Blast, and Flare Blitz among others, and a staggering variety of coverage options thanks to my trademark detonations kicking up debris of just about every make you can think of. Seed Bomb, Focus Blast, Rock Blast, Mud Bomb, Shadow Ball, Dragon Pulse... The possibilities are endless, really! And that's not getting into my more standard knifework such as Psycho Cut, Drill Run, and even Razor Shell - which I included in my movepool as a play on the military term 'shell' for projectiles that detonate, and which will hopefully give any potential Rock- and Ground-type checks at least a few second thoughts. Setup options I can work with include Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, and Agility for Life Orb sets, but Victory Dance is also worth mentioning because it increases my Speed as well as my Attack and Defense for extra measure. A pity Quiver Dance wasn't very fitting in terms of flavor, but I guess you can't win them all...

"As for my Bomb Devil form, it does offer significantly improved resilience in terms of both type advantages and my stats proper, but this is not without its price. Steel does not actually synergize with Fire offensively as well as Dark does, the main reason being their combined ability, or lack thereof, to reliably hit either Water-types or other Fire-types, which means I'll have to rely on two different coverage moves at once just to deal with them, or otherwise pick my poison so to speak. The tradeoff, of course, is that my defensive profile is much, much better - even a double-weakness to Ground is a small price to pay for the highest number of double-resistances of any possible type combination! Granted, my defensive stats might only be about average, but while I'm not exactly a jack-of-all-stats as the Bomb Devil, I do come reasonably close for such an offensive juggernaut, though role-wise I see this form as more of a mixed utility wallbreaker and cleaner than anything else. All of my previously mentioned utility options still apply, but in exchange for my Dark STAB I can instead make use of Steel STAB like Iron Head and Bullet Punch... to say nothing of the damage buff to a lot of my explosive attacks, particularly my STABs such as Magnet Bomb, Pyro Ball, and possibly Fire Blast and Flash Cannon, along with the coverage options I listed previously, all of which incidentally are ball and bomb moves. Seed Bomb and Energy Ball in particular allow me to easily dispatch three of the four types my devil self is weak to, but that leaves me with a blind spot to Fighting that could've been handled by Shadow Ball. Notably, my increased defensive stats also give me more freedom to make use of Shell Smash which, on top of being another fun little wordplay on explosive shells, will make me increasingly quicker and deadlier at the cost of my defenses, though a more specialized setup move that doesn't carry this risk can work just as well. All in all, I'd say my versatility and unpredictability would be my greatest strengths as the Bomb Devil as much as my base form, with an answer for almost any given requirement or situation - with or without all the literal firepower I could dream of. You could say I'm a total bombshell in more ways than one!

"From what intel I've gathered, it seems Crossover Chaos Expanded Returns might be re-opening auditions for the start of its second season fairly soon, although the code for its first wave of winning competitors is still being worked on and additional playtesting may be required to decide what kind of roles will still be needed. As such, I don't feel confident in applying for CCER proper just yet, but that may change in the future should a need arise for someone like me - granted, I don't believe it'd be very difficult to find such an opportunity. Until then, I wouldn't mind taking part in this micrometa for the time being, although that of course will depend on whether the community is willing to allow it. I'll leave that decision to the voters' discretion, but should they make the right call... this year's Halloween calendar lineup will have no idea what's coming."

"Seeing as this mod's submission requirements include sample movesets for the randomizer, I might as well provide them, too. One particular issue I should probably mention is that I'm not a fan of entry hazards and don't have any way to clear them, allowing chip damage from Stealth Rock or even Spikes to wear me down eventually. I bring this up now because if I were to run Regenerator, I wouldn't be caught dead without Heavy-Duty Boots on, so as to give me more breathing room to make my rounds as a Parting Shot pivot and hazard setter. I unfortunately don't have any way to force anyone into any Spikes or Stealth Rocks I've set up, but that's what bringing in a teammate who can do that is for. The other support options I've previously listed can be used with near impunity thanks to Regenerator, but Recover in particular is noteworthy because using it right after Regenerator kicks in would allow me to restore nearly all of my HP in a single turn, allowing me to become damn near impossible to kill with the right EV investment! Offensive moves I can run to avoid being shut down by Taunt include Shell Trap to punish unwary melee combatants, Fire Spin as a trapping move so whomever I tag in can secure their own kills more easily, Foul Play to catch equally strong attackers off guard, and Night Daze to throw off my opponents' aim. Oh, and I should also mention that this set can work just as well with my Bomb Devil form, though in this case I'd have to substitute my Dark STAB with Flash Cannon... though to be fair, it has its own use in the form of weakening even potential checks and counters with its Special Defense drop, which will hopefully allow other special attackers to pick them off more freely."

"I've already discussed my base form's offensive strengths and setup options at length in my main competitive info write-up, so I don't believe I'll need to repeat all of that here. Instead, what I'd like to highlight is my suggested items, abilities, and potential teammates. Choice items are a solid option for forgoing a setup move altogether, allowing me to load up two STABs of choice and two coverage options - preferably Grass coverage and Shadow Ball - so I can counter every single type that would otherwise hit me super-effectively. Alternatively, Life Orb sets can work just as well, but I'd have to risk a hard switch if I'm not running Parting Shot, whereas running that move would cost me one of my coverage types... not the easiest choice, but Parting Shot works so excellently with Regenerator that I'm sure I can make it work somehow! For special sets specifically, Flash Fire allows me to switch into Fire coverage as well as Fire-type attackers, giving me some welcome indirect setup even before hatching my first Nasty Plot of the game. And then there's Aftermath which, while thematically apropos, would only be useful for punishing whomever manages to finally dispatch me - not exactly the best option, but I bet it can still make a difference for my team as a whole in the right situation. With very few type combinations that resist both of my STABs, I can also afford to run Substitute and avoid being incapacitated by status, but since I'll have to cut off one of my own limbs to make the Substitute, I'd basically be fighting either one-handed or one-legged for the rest of the match if I'm not running Regenerator! As such, clerics to keep me healthy, hazard setters to wear down my foes faster, pivots to bring me in safely, and/or defensive walls who can shield me from at least a few of my type weaknesses would all be useful for helping me maintain my offensive momentum. And in exchange, I'm sure anyone who'd struggle against at least one of the six types my STABs are strong against would appreciate some much-needed cover fire, so to speak."

"Finally, my offensive 'Mega Evolution' set hinges on the inability of my opponents to predict what the Bomb Devil will do next, especially since Shell Smash grants a one-stage multiplier to both of my offensive stats at once as well as my Speed. It is this which would be my go-to setup move for this reason - all the better to play along with the mind games this set can induce! Only some of my STABs, such as Pyro Ball and Magnet Bomb, will receive additional power, but given Shell Smash's stat boosts, I don't consider my custom ability to be a significant strategic game-changer, at least not as much as the changes to my stats. STABs aside, a number of my coverage options are also buffed by my power as the Bomb Devil, with Energy Ball and Seed Bomb in particular being able to counter Water- and especially Ground-types that might otherwise pose a significant threat. Aside from those two, Rock Blast, Mud Bomb, and Razor Shell all cover for Fire-types that might otherwise wall me, and Shadow Ball and Psycho Cut will obliterate any Fighting-type checks my STABs can't handle on their own. Overall, there is plenty of room for my devil self to experiment, and whether I decide to go for a purely physical version of this set, a purely special one, or a mix-and-match of either styles would really be dependent on the randomizer - and my own personal preference, of course! Granted, every choice I make will come with a cost in some form, but I'm sure the right selection of teammates can cover for remaining vulnerabilities, missing strategic roles, or any other call on my part for assistance from others."

Design Analysis: Diwalyur is based on Diwali and Peacocks. Diwalyur use their light feathers to attract mates, it is said that their feathers have enough light to light up an entire city.

Competitive Analysis: Diwalyur is fast and has great offensive utility with Inferno to spread burns, Volt Switch for pivoting and Roost, Defog, Taunt, and Encore as powerful status options. Diwalyur can also function as a sweeper with access to torch song and Light of Ruin to nuke the dragon types that otherwise wall it. This Pokemons fantastic movepool is balanced out by its mediocre stats and quad weakness to ground due to its poor defensive typing.

Inspirations and Descriptions: Woo boy, this one was fun! This mon's idea came from American Frog Day which is going to be held October 21, 2026 this year and focuses on the captive breeding and study of poison dart frogs and other amphibians, which this mon is based off of! The first part of the name comes from Triadobatrachus which is the oldest known member of the frog lineage, and forg comes from, well, forg. he is forg. Jokes aside, the mon is heavily inspired by a Poison Dart Frog, but I gave it Rock/Poison because he is a fossil, and bc Poison Dart frog. Because he is a failed attempt at a revival of the fossil, he don't do shit. He is slowly decaying because of the failed revival, hence why he loses 1 HP at the beginning of a turn so no matter what he can be whittled down. His poison functions still work, and Block just bc I imagine him being able to use his tongue to keep you in place. Lmk what y'all think about this mon! Is it too broken? Is it absolute poopy? All feedback is good feedback!

Base Stats: 3 HP
This submission has a few problems

1. 3 base HP translates to 147 actual HP, and that’s without investment. Shedinja is hardcoded to have 1 HP, otherwise its base HP would be more than 1. This obviously makes it very very broken.

2. Assuming you mean to hard code it to having 3 HP, Leftovers exists and would keep this alive indefinitely. Since it is immune to all damage, it is a prime “Pokemon you switch into and out of immediately in order to PP stall something indefinitely”. This, too, would be very broken.

3. Assuming this has permanent Heal Block applied to it in addition to having only 3 HP, since it is supposed to be actively decaying, this design for a Pokemon is rather unfun and now it in particular doesn’t really accomplish much. It is limited to setting Rocks and maybe getting Toxic off on something. Which is not worth slotting.

In conclusion, I don’t believe this works in any form. A frog would be neat, but making it this much of a gimmick feels wrong.

Thanks for pointing this out and yes, the core idea of it is to be hard coded to have 3 HP similar to Shedinja's 1 HP. And the plan for the set is for it to have no items to prevent allowing it to have Leftovers. This mon is mostly for the actual randomized format and less so for the team building format. It's a very gimmicky mon who's only purpose is to maybe throw a Toxic down on a problematic mon, perhaps throw out some rocks or mess woth an ability, and die. I based it similar to the purpose of Pyukumuku, so you could see it as Pyuk and Shedinja's child basically.

And the plan for the set is for it to have no items to prevent allowing it to have Leftovers.
There will be a teambuilder based format, and in that it could equip Leftovers, so it might need to be a clause added to the ability; honestly this feels like it exists in a difficult design space where the gimmick makes it feel either meta-warping or highly ineffectual, so I really would recommend making this a considerably less gimmicky mon instead. Gimmicks can be fun at times, but a Pokemon with three turns to live is a difficult sell, especially in what is likely to be a mostly ordinary metagame.

Right, but they also have the option to ban Pokemon for the team builder format which I would hope that Triadoforg was banned for because he would be horribly broken. His sole purpose is to exist in the randomized format with zero items.  I like the gimmick I gave him, and if other people like it as well then they are free to vote for it.

First idea was to make an Oktoberfest mon, but then i researched, and for some, insane reason, Oktoberfest starts in September, not even the end of September or smth, in the smack middle of it. Tried to find other options, but didnt really find anything popular enough, so just kinda went w Oktoberfest, i mean its got October on the name. you could argue its the celebration of the end of Oktoberfest, which is on October 3rd.
Description:
Bulky breaker. Tried making it a Conkeldurr side-grade, trading its insane raw damage with team support. Supports its team with Misty Surge, allowing for certain mons who might fear being statused to switch in safely, and also benefits itself, as it itself dislikes being burned or poisoned. While it does have to rely on Play Rough to deal significant damage, STAB Cold Ones allows it to finish off opponents at low HP, and due to its access to setup, can also repair on its speed problems a bit, and potentially become a wincon. On top of that, can also make progress with Knock Off, making it so switch-ins to it have to fear their item being lost, and has consistant self-healing in Slack Off. It does struggle with 4MSS, as it really wants to bring Play Rough, Cold Ones, Knock Off, Slack Off and Bulk Up, and its only real way of doing big damage is Play Rough, which is inconsistant, and has middling BP.
