Try another IV calc. Two more, at least.

EDIT: Serebii's gives the same results. Switching the format to SDef last, which I think the game uses, gives HP Electric so you didn't mess up there. Try attacking something else with Hidden Power.

I think I've figured out what it was. Using Serebii's calculator, I found that a SpDef stat of 108 at level 100 with a Naive nature means that the SpDef IV is either 27 or 28. This is confirmed by the fact that the stat on the team builder on shoddy remains 108 when I increase the IV to 28. It would also explain the HP because with a 28 IV it becomes Ghost type. For some reason, metalkid's calculator did not output the possibility of the different IV, because it only had 27 listed under the "possible IV" heading.

Thanks for suggesting I use another calculator - will use Serebii's instead of metalkid's from now on.

Is It Possible To Change Your Age?

Hello my question today is that is it possible to change my age which is entered into my profile. I could not find anything that would change my age, the reason I want to change it is because I entered it wrong when I created my account a long while back. Truthfully, I am 14 years old (My birthday Febuary 23, 1994) and back then I thought COPPA prohibitted 13 and under only to find out that it is acually under 13 which means at the time of my creation I was old enough to create an account legally. This really bugs me because I am not 28 years old and it makes me feel old :/. I've read the rules carefully before I posted this so I hope this does not cause any trouble with the rules of the site, if it does I am terribly sorry.

I'm puzzled. I've been breeding Chimchars aiming for one with HP Ice and I got one with these IVs:

22 / 31 / 0 / 27 / 27 / 31

Entering this into metalkid's calculator [and shoddy battle team builder] says it has HP Ice with 67 power, but when I taught the Chimchar Hidden Power and used it on a Bidoof it didn't affect it, so it must be Ghost. Yes, I am absolutely sure I entered the level 100 stats correctly to obtain the IVs. I have checked it about 5 times now. What's going on?

Shoddy Battle's IV listed order is different than everyone else's. Shoddy throws Speed in the middle for some reason.

How do you pass egg moves to Tyrogue?

Tyrogue and all of its 'Hitmon' parents are always male! But according to many different sources, Tyrogue can indeed receive several egg moves! How do I do it? Thanks.

Its egg moves are all learned by the Hitmons. Remember that Male + Ditto = Baby of male.

In short: Hitmonlee with Hi Jump Kick + Ditto = HJK Tyrogue.

OR

Hitmontop with Rapid Spin + Ditto = RS Tyrogue.

How does conversion2 work?

sorry for the vague question all i know is that porygon changes its typing to be resistant and theres nothing on the smogon database on it. So if porygon was hit by a w/e type that had more than 2 resistances, would it randomly pick one of thsoe types?

Changes the user into a new type that resists the last attack to hit the user.
ie: of porygon was hit by thunderbolt, It would turn into a ground or grass type (anything that resists electric attacks)

Can a calm porygon-2 still counter physical mence and gyarados effectively? If so, would anyone mind giving me an EV spread to counter those two and heatran?

i dont know about calm but i've really enjoyed using this BOLD porygon2
(spread is courtesy Tangerine)

252 HP/ 178 Def/ 80 Sp. Atk
t-wave/t-bolt/ice beam/recover

it works well against tran and dos, and can do decently against mence. not sure how it handles a +1 Outrage from Mence though since i havvent had the chance to test that.

I am puzzled as why people prefer Inner Focus over Steadfast on Lucario. I mean, for pretty much any senario where Luke is flinched, be it DD Gyara's waterfall or ScarfKiss's air slash (poor examples), Steadfast is always better as it allows Luke to outspeed after the flinch and strike back. So can someone explain what I missed in my thought process?

But you can take the speed boost, outspeed the opponent and attack right back the next turn right? Wouldn't it be same? I do lose a turn, but since now I can move first it shouldn't matter.
They can switch for the new round though, but if they have something that can switch in to wall Luke, they will obviously do it on the first round instead.

Would it be stupid to put Flamethrower on ScarfChomp instead of Fire Blast, and adding some SpAt Ev's from either/or Atk and Spd? And make it a neutral nature

On Scarfchomp, Jolly and Fire Blast work fine.
It hits Forry, Skarm and Bronzong for way more than any of his other attacks.
Sp.Att EVs are not necessary.

But he's uber now, so what the fuck

I'm wondering if BrightPowder is considered a luck item. I suppose it could be, but really it's the same thing as Sand Veil in a sandstorm, and you don't see those pokes getting banned for luck. Anybody got an answer for me?

Yeah, any item that doesn't have an effect for a specified event 100% of the time is a luck item.

Just obtained a +attack technician shiny scyther. I'm thinking about bullet punch/pursuit/u-turn/roost @ life orb after I evolve it.

What's a decent EV spread for this sort of Scizor? 252atk/252hp/4def? Or do you take from HP to give to def or spdef? I've never used scizor outside of a few novelty teams, so maybe someone experienced with it can throw me a frickin' bone here.

I wan't really paying attention to this so I'm not entirely sure if this actually happened or not...lol

But anyway, I was having a double battle with this guy; he had Mewtwo and Torterra out while I was down to my last Pokemon, Heatran. His Mewtwo starts off with Me First and uses Lava Plume on Heatran (lol) then it appeared that my Heatran striked with Lava Plume twice consecutively. Is that possible or did I imagine things? I'm very sure I saw two Lava Plume animations though.

EDIT: LOL! Just realized what happened as soon as I typed this. The Mewtwo obviously striked Torterra with Lava Plume. Duh *facepalm*
