Hello,

I have extracted the Platinum Encounter Information!! Well not for every route (yet)! I compared if the data from D/P with the data from the upokecenter.com and it matches!! I'm currently working on it to extract it for every route.

Oh my, grats&thanks :D I haven't gotten around to calculating the species and encounter percentages of some of my good spreads, but that will help a lot.

A few new hidden power dittos would make all the difference in breeding .-.
 
OK, any answers to what I may be doing wrong? I have a great spread, and all my times/frames are set. The frame I got in the alibration phase is the same as the one needed for tht spread. My second is 14, delay range is 595=615, and frame is 10. However, whenever I soft reset, collect the egg, and do the coin flip, the flips dont match anything. I even did the search twice. So, anyone know what may be wrong here?

Also, do you keep the journal up even ahter calibrating(ie: during SRing when you don't need to do page flips?)

Anyone have an answer? Slimi, I'm looking for someone who IV RNGs, but thanks.
 
Two things.

Firstly, I have started trying to get perfect pokemon, but during the first, calibration, step, I got stuck (lol).
Basically my initial seed (seconds) varys from about 30 to 40. It's not 15. My delay, however, is about 600-640. I don't know why it varys and why it's so high. Will this cause problems? I mean, I can't find my seed if the seconds varys.

Second, when trying to hit your target time, do you have to press the right second or is it like tenth of a second or something?
 
problems hatching shiny pokemon

i posted earlier without a response so ill try explain better i have had success in the past hatching shiny eggs using the How to Hatch a Shiny Pokémon method. i wouldnt always get an initial seed but when i did i was successful. i then got a japanses ditto made the necessary adjustments to the RNG reporter and had even better success. i fished from the Resort Area to get the required < lvl. 50 pokemon and kept my japanese ditto in the daycare. always with success. now i rarely get an initial seed. when i do i do not hatch a shiny. i have checked and double check to make sure i am following the directions. dates are synced, 5 pokemon in party, app set to the one before happiness checker, etc and have no successful results. what am i doing wrong. any suggestions? update. ive even tried doing this following the directions exactly. step by step. the dates are synced. i dont know what to do. what am i missing. its probably something simple but im at a loss. help please.
 
@ bbsaur: The problem is we have no idea what could have gone wrong. If you are following the directions exactly, it should work. It works for everyone else and apparently it used to work for you. The only thing I can possibly think of is are you capturing as soon as you enter the game? I would try using the Survival Area and running immediately right onto route 226. The Resort Area is full of NPCs. They may be advancing the RNG.

@ agiyr: I can't believe it takes you 30 seconds to hit continue. Are you resetting on the minute and then mashing the A-button as fast as possible until you hit continue?
 
Ok just want to clarify something.

To check to see if you hit your correct delay, you input the seed that says 'seed (hex)' into the rng reporter and press generate.

Then in the game, when are you supposed to flip the coin?

Is it directly after you hit 'continue'?
 
All correct, selecting DPPt Egg PID (normal). make sure all the frames are displayed counting from 1 (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10..., not 1, 5, 16...) by clearing all requirements.

If you have ShinyFinder, you can use its seed range window to easily work out what delay you actually hit.
 
ShinyFinder is my program for making it easy to get shinies. It also has a coin flip tracker for easily working out what seed you hit. That is what I use for determining what delay I'm hitting and adjusting as necessary. See the tool links at the bottom of the original post if you want to try it.

Just do the following:

Open the program.

Don't enter anything, just hit "Generate" immediately.

Double-click on any random result. This brings up the seed range window

replace what is there with your target date, hour and minute. Also enter a range for the second, say one second before to one second after your target. Enter your delay range as well, then click "Generate". A list of seeds will appear with their coin flip sequences.

As you do the flips in the game, enter the results into the window by clicking the "Heads" and "Tails" buttons as appropriate, the window will filter out any seeds you cannot possibly have hit. You should easily be able to whittle down the seeds to the one you actually have.

It's a good idea to overestimate your delay range, since the window filters the results automatically, you won't have to look through the flip sequences and it allows you to follow results that fall outside your normal delay.
 
Try and develop a constant rhythm for hitting the button, that narrows the range. Apart from that, you pretty much have to get lucky.
 
4. Have the Pokétch application showing the app before the Happiness Checker application. This is important, as if you go through this with the Happiness Checker showing you will not get the expected results.

Shouldn't it be on the Coin App? For instance, I launched the program, it said I could have a Shiny on Frame 8 - but of course I couldn't switch to the Happiness Checker.
 
@ Davy: if you click quickly past the Happiness Checker, so that only a blank screen with "06" is displayed, it does not affect the results. You must only avoid having the window actually open.

@ shinyrattata: Most people tend to hit either even or odd delays (each person tends to hit one type). If yours is the opposite type from the spread you want, you can usually change to the other type by inserting a GBA Pokemon game.
 
Ok, I have an issue I don't know how to solve. This is what I'm trying to hit:

Timid 26/5/24/27/27/31 hp ice 66 - 7C1702A3 0 ; 1000 (Shiny)

So, after a Syncher, I can hit the spread on Frame 990, 992, 994, 996.

I have a Roamer out (Mespirit)

I already got my seed, caught shaymin, and confirmed that my initial frame is 2.

So, I take 990 - 2, and get 988. Divide that by 2 and I get 494, which is the number of journal flips I need to do. So, I do the flips, and, when I encounter the pokemon (Shaymin in this case, from Flower Paradise), I get 3 frames late, every time. I don't know why. There is nothing odd on my journal pages, as it's similar stuff to every other time I've reset anything. The spread is possible, because I have a Gastly and a Rotom with the same IVs, and shiny. Any idea?

Well, I don't know how to fix that, but maybe for shaymin you could try getting three frames earlier, if you're getting three frames late, lol.

Hmm... thats wierd, because i am getting both odd and even delays, with no gba game inserted.

Now i'm just getting odd spreads, regardless of whether or not a gba game is inserted

thank you for your response. i switched my DS internal date to 2008 and it works again...
 
I have a question. And this is for the shiny egg process. After you get the starting seed, if you access your PC, does it change the process?
 
Looking for someone to teach me how to use Shinyfinder, I already know everything about RNG resetting for Legendaries, you will earn 1 credit in my shop
 
i need help with getting shiny legendaries. im trying to get shiny giratina but i havent a clue how the platinum rng works and the explanation on the original post makes no sense to me.

Well you need to do something other than just post I don't know how to do it. Just posting that you can't do it and don't understand it isn't going to help you at all.
