Correct ditto

Q: when searching for the frame preceeding the "chosen frame," do you leave in all the iv/nature details? or do you search with those removed?

But then it seems like every pokemon would be slot 0. If you take the largest possible 4 digit number, you have 9999. Divide that by 656, and that equals 15.242. You round down and you have 15, which would still be slot 0 right?

Alright then. So I find my 632 in Method 1, which is 30F19CF2. The last 4 numbers are 0192. Divide that by 656, which equal 0.292. Round down and you get 0, which makes it a slot 0 pokemon.

Is this correct?

Hmm? Your target is Frame 633, right?

And you say frame 632 in M1 is 30F19CF2, right?

9cf2 = 40178 (in decimal)
40178 / 656 = 61 (after rounding down)

Okay, so it wasn't the last 4 numbers that you take, its last 4 digits...my bad. That is what I was doing wrong. Thanks Davy.

No. The highest number if FFFF, which is the Hexadecimal equivalent of 65535. The instructions in that post on the first page do make a note to enter the number as hexadecimal and to convert it to decimal before doing the division.

pardonne moi? that's not what I asked, and I don't think they all become slot 0, for me it's usually like slot 6 thats the average

So when searching for the framce preceeding the "chosen frame" do you leave in the iv/nature details? anyone??

No. You search that spread with no restrictions on. No shiny, no IV limits, just that spread and atleast the max frame > one under target frame.

Is it ok if you capture a lv49 pokemon to create an initial seed? does any of the accuracy weaken if its not greater than 50?

It can work. It will be close. Like I've used 49's, and they've worked sometimes, and sometimes they dont. But you should be able to find out which spread you had, if it gives you 2. Aslong as you pay attention to the seconds, there shouldn't be a problem.

Aslong as you keep up with the seconds and know your normal delay, you should be fine. I've only had it happen once where I didn't know which one, since both delays were very close, and I didnt pay attention to the seconds.

I always get 14 seconds, that's a good indicator that the Lv.49 pokemon are correct
*calibration results*
Out of 10 trials I got the following more than once:
3-599
2-601
2-603

So I should go with my delay as 599 because I hit it the most?

Yeah, that would be your best choice. You could go with 601 since it's a little slower, making it less likely that you'd miss a tap when going throught the intro.

kk ima take a break @.@ but ill get that shuckle yet :)

is there a coin trick to this? because I saw flurries talking about the coin app a little earlier

Are you breeding or catching? If you're breeding, you can use it AFTER you pick up the egg. Do all the neccesary page-flips(if any), pick up the egg, then you can check the first 10 to see if you hit the delay. If you're catching a wild pokemon, you can, but I don't recomend it unless you've stopped all NPCs in the area by either radar or that they don't move normally.

Yeah, there is. This is the way it works. First you do everything you normally would to abuse the RNG. But to see if you hit your correct delay and target time, you would use the coinflip trick. First, you get the initial seed that you're targeting. Then, you go to to the home page of RNG Reporter and Egg PID Normal for the method. Put your initial seed into the Seed(Hex) column, and press generate. Take a look at the Coin column. Now flip you're coin app in-game.If you get the pokeball, it's tails, and if you get the magikarp, it's heads. Match your results with the coin column. If the results follow that order, you hit everything right. If they don't, try again. Remember, don't switch to the Happiness Checker, or it will mess everything up.

Thank you!

Thank you everyone who contributed to this topic! I just now(5 minutes ago) obtained my first RNG'd legend! :D I couldn't have done it without everyone's hard work. <3

Thanks again!

Congratulations 1338joe :) im going to abuse my first pokemon soon as well, everythings in place

lol I love the word "abuse" its so fitting to the method for some reason XD

Yep. In DPPt Time Finderk, select Method 1 and check the Shiny Only box.

How exactly do I do it? Is there a way to know what route they will be on? I know it changes everytime you enter a different route/city.

Also does stepping into grass affect the frame? Can I just step in and use sweet scent or something?

@King: It's set when you talk to the pokemon/profesor Oak (depending on the pokemon). If you're doing the birds, then it's when you talk to Oak. When it's Mesprit, it's when it leaves the cave. And Cresselia is after you see it on Full Moon Island. That way, once you see it shiny in the wild, you can let it roam if you want and catch it later.

Read the OP for a list of things that advance the frames. And once you talk to the runners, nothing else you do effects their IV's or nature.
EDIT: Oh by the way Joe, welcome to Smogon.

In the grass you use sweet scent for a minus 2 on the rng advance you have to sweet scent it but dont forget to subtract 2
you also subtract for every wild roaming legendary pokemon you haven't captured (max=5) so the most you'll subtract is seven..
