What happens when a Flash Fire Pokémon has a Flame Orb als hold item?
Nothing. Flash Fire is triggered by being attacked with a fire move, not by burning. Flash Fire wouldn't stop the burn from happening, but Flash Fire is only on fire types, and being a fire type stops the burn.

If you Traced Flash Fire and your Porygon2 was holding a Flame Orb, it'd get burned.

Bronzong, Skarmory, Gliscor, Hippowdon, imo.

It really comes down to what you're walling and the rest of your team.

Well, depending on the rest of your team, one may be better than the others. If, however, you just plan on using them all on different teams, I'd raise them all.

So... Which is it, everyone? I kind of need to know for sure soon.

To reiterate the question: "If a non-traded, no-Pokérus Machop holding a Power Bracer defeats a Bidoof, will it gain 1 HP and 4 ATK EV's?"
http://www.smogon.com/dp/items/power_bracer
Reduces Speed 50%.

In addition to the EVs normally gained from defeating an opponent, the holder will also gain 4 EVs in Attack. Pokerus multiplies the final amount of EVs gained by two, so it includes this boost.
The answer to your question is YES, 4 Atk EVs and 1 HP EV.

Great, I thought so. Thank you. ^_^

I was looking for an EV guide earlier here, but I guess it completely slipped my mind that the information would be under "Items".

This is regarding RNG abuse.

I read in the guides that they refer to Diamond and Pearl only.

Now my question is: Does the RNG work the same way in Plat and is it still possible to exploit it in Plat in the same way?

Coz I just caught a shiny roselia and am itching to get me a shiny weavile with good iv's ^_^ (i have the iv part sorted out)

OK another question ...

Since obviously a level 19 or so pokemon wont get accurate results from an IV calculator and i cant find any rare candies.... is it ok to put the poke in day care and then withdraw it every level and then check its stats?

Yes. Letting the Pokemon gain a level at the daycare has the same effect on the stats as giving it a Rare Candy.

One last question

regarding IV Calculators, like MetalKids, when they ask for EV's, do they mean any EV's gained while levelling or just ones that have made a difference to the stats by being there as opposed to not being there...

its confusing but yeah...

in my case: I'll attach an Exp Share to my Roselia and just goabout killing Golducks in the Resort Area Now as i level up, do I just put in 4 SpA evs in the calc for that level assuming it takes two golducks to get me that experience?

thanks a bunch

You're correct, if you're looking at a single IV, it's only necessary for you to put in those EVs.

If you plan on looking at all IVs, though, you'll want to remember them all.

Does Zen Headbutt haveany use on Metagross?
Why is Psychic a really bad offensive type these days?
Is Psychic even worth it on SpecsStar, or I just better use Surf to combat PP loss?

1.)It's useful, but his other moves are more important overall. He really suffers from four move syndrome.
2.)With the insane amount of Steel-types, Psychic is resisted more often that super effective.
3.)Surf is a better option, assuming you have another way to counter the random Poison-type (ie Earthquake).

EDIT: Beatcha MF. =]

Not really, and other moves are far more useful (Bullet Punch/Explosion/Ice Punch).

In OU, and even in Ubers, many things resist Psychic, and very few are weak to it. So do the math.

IMO Grass Knot or Trick is better, Psychic rarely serves Starmie, even if it does get STAB.

What is the ranking for auto-weather pokemon? If a wild Snover is encountered by a Hippopotas in my lead position, who's weather wins? Does it depend on level? Speed? Trainer vs. wild?

Same question, but with trainer battles (say Elite 4).

The faster Pokemon's weather always activates first, which means the slower Pokemon's weather "wins."

1)If I pal park a shroomish with the effect spore ability from emerald to platinum, is there any chance of it becoming poison heal?
2)If so when would it happen, upon import or evolution?
3)And what are the chances of it happening, because I don't want to waste all my time breeding for it to not even have the right ability.

Is Psychic even popular on Starmie? Using Surf and Hydro Pump may seem redaunt, but it;s about the same reason SpecTran uses Overheat and Flamethrower...
Alsao, Naughty or Naive on DDMence?
