I think the only reason Arceus is banned right now is there's no way to get one that's not Lv. 100 and thus it can't have more than 100 EVs in any stat and Shoddy can't ban certain EV spreads. When Shoddy 2 comes out (or they make an Arceus event that makes him not Lv. 100), then I assume he'll be allowed in Ubers.

@Jikos: I think Mewtwo always wants a +Speed nature to outrun Darkrai.

The somewhat gimmicky bulk up mewtwo set might work I guess.
 
What is the benefit of using Transform on the Mew set? It doesn't look like the most reliable move ever and costs you a turn of setup to use it. The only benefit I see is the spontaneity it creates, but is that it?
 
In UU should I use a Rock Polish and Swords Dance Rampardos or Rhyperior? For the record, I'm not too concerned if it's not that great, I just want to use it.
 
Because of the recent 3-4 vote deeming Latias uber, will Latias be banned from the standard ladder immediately (with Latias on the suspect ladder for 3-5) or will there be no suspect ladder (the testing being done simply on the standard ladder)?
 
I'm curious about the exclusiveness of Phanpy and Teddursa in the English HG/SS. The original Japanese GS had Phanpy in Gold and Teddiursa in Silver, but they were switched for the English versions. Does HG/SS do this again?

No, I was surprised, as back in the day I trained at Mt Silvers and had never run into Donphan before.
 
i got my shiny starter after 3500+ restarts calcualted its IVS and got all those steps done,now can i use the same guide that it has for Diamond and pearl to breed shinies even thou im using Heart gold or do i have to wait till you make a guide specifically for heart gold or soul silver?

As of now, there still is a suspect ladder on the Smogon Server, and Latias is still allowed. But we don't know if there will be a suspect testing just for Latias or not (Stage 3-5, and its possible) Latias is not quite Uber yet, though, so its still allowed on Standard ladder I think.
 
So I'm at the point where I need to do the Pokemon League in Soul Silver, and I just realized my team is utter garbage. I have like a level 40 Heracross, 39 Feraligatr that is an HM whore, the Lugia I just caught, and a 38 Arbok with acid and sludge bomb and such.

I guess what I'm asking is: if I go and catch like level 20 pokemon somewhere, what's the best way to get them around level 40 and up to the Pokemon League Challenge? Not only is my current team insufficient, I don't exactly want to finish the league with these jokes. Besides Heracross.

Get everything up a few more lvs, get rid of Fereligatrs HMs (maybe keep Strenght & Surf).
I didn't play SS yet, so I don;t know.
 
Ok, so I'm trying to breed pokemon with perfect IV's in two stats. I know that giving the parents the respective power items allow the IV to be passed down to the egg pokemon. When I hatch the egg and check the IV's, it says one or the other only passed down. I've done this multiple, times, looked it up on google, and I always get that both IV's are passed down.

Side note: I was trying to breed a Mudkip with a perfect HP and Attack IV. The father has the HP, and the mother the Attack. Again, each one had their respective Power item. (I am using HGSS)

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
 
Hi guys,

I can't seem to find any threads on it, perhaps someone can assist me. I thought I remembered there being one so sorry if I just overlooked it but I can't find it now.

Is it possible to still do the non-trading trade evolutions in HGSS? If so, how? (I don't remember how it was even done in DPp :P)
 
Is it better to give power items to both parents, or and everstone + power item in HGSS?
I hears there's a thread about this on these forums... but I can't find it, the search function is broken.
Also, is there any RNG guide for HGSS yet?
Also, if you kill Entei and Raikou before de E4, does they respawn?

No, there was some kind of GTS glitch in DPp where you could do trade evolutions (Machamp, Golem, etc) without trading with anyone. I'm wondering if there's something similar to this in HGSS.

The glitch you're talking about does require trading, but not of the Machoke/Haunter/etc. What you do is deposit the Pokemon you want to evolve on the GTS, then do a search and trade for a different Pokemon, then immediately remove your deposited Pokemon.

Anyways, I can confirm that this glitch still works in HG/SS, as I just performed it on my Haunter (now Gengar, woo!) in SS as soon as I saw your question.
 
Is there a set date for when the suspect 3-4 tests come out or have the votes not been counted yet?

Also I have a question about the HG/SS breeding mechanics. If I wanted a Milotic with 31 IVs in HP, Def and SpDef with a bold nature and I have a Ditto with 31 IVs in HP and a Milotic with a bold nature and 31 IVs in SpDef and Def, would I have a better chance of getting the Milotic I wanted by giving my current Milotic either the Def power item, the SpDef power item or the everstone?
