Wynaut was banned when Wobb got banned, IIRC, and I don't think it got tested.

*Cough*notthatwynautcansurviveaSTABhitorsomething*Cough*

Anywho, I wonder if ambipom leads will rise once again (Though I'm thinking "Oh god no!"), or will frosslass be replaced with all the other spikestackers available?

Yeah, it's kind of funny how people fell for Aeroblacktyl's troll and completely missed his point.

Really, "heavy offense" doesn't refer to much other than certain ways to execute offense. Probably the only reason the term exists is due to "bulky offense" being so common. I don't think that anyone objects to the use of terms like "bulky offense", "dual screen offense", "rain offense", etc. in general, because they refer to legitimate methodologies of offense, but these terms are too often misused. These terms don't refer to the "team spectrum" of offense/balanced/defense at all. One could technically have something like "DS stall" (in fact I'm pretty sure it actually exists) or "rain balance". The team spectrum itself is already vague enough as it is with the three terms offense/balance/defense.

Also I'm pretty sure the "correct" term is "hyper offense", and it refers specifically to using your overwhelming sweeping momentum as your support rather than using direct support. The Greek RMT doesn't even use dual screens; the lead sets up SR only and then functions as a sweeper in its own right. I do realize that I used "HO" to refer to my DS team but w/e this doesn't matter much anyway.

what does MoP mean anyway

I don't know why people think Moltres' reign is over considering that you can pass it a Calm Mind/ Nasty Plot to it so easily.

Also in regards to Munchlax, I completely forgot about Miltank... and it is scary to think how stupidly effective Munchlax was and can't comprehend how much better Tank would be doing it... time to test.

What does arguing over semantics of different types of "playstyles" really help?

And moltres reign definitely isn't over, it is just going to be a little harder to use.

But I would rather pass spA boosts to something a little faster myself.

I'm using Pure Baton Pass Ambipom (Agility+Nasty PLot) along with Baton Pass Salac Hypno (Calm Mind)... which basically means I will always be passing out at least +1 Spe and +1 Spa

Everytime i see Sandstorm teams i see Curse Sleep Talk Cradily.
Why? Regirock is much better and easier to set up (2 set ups and Regirock is going to wall pretty much anything from the physical side).
I always thought that Curse Cradily was good with Recover... since that's something Regirock can't do.

I actually know the answer: water/grass neutrality. But i don't know if that's enough for Cradily...

Why i forgot Suction Cups?
I'm always thinking about Suction Cups when i think about Cradily, and i just forgot now...

But there's times Cradily is saved for last (like Curse Snorlax in OU) ... which then Regirock is just better (if Cradily doesn't run Recover).

Yep, and with its typing (i.e. Grass/Rock) the only Pokemon who can truly wall it with decency are Steel types. Fighting types can massacre Cradily, but not if it's got some Curses up.

I give up. You won't get it, just stick to your balanced / stall / whatever it'll be team and I'll stick to my HO.
It's not an opinion BTW, it's a FACT.

No it isn't. Not only is it not a fact, it is also incorrect. Heavy Offense was a term made up by a bunch if fools who wanted to name a team style. Unfortunately people now refer to Heavy Offense as a team of 5 stat up users. It's stupid and wrong, those teams are just offensive teams with 5 stat up sweepers.

lol 2 whole test threadss later and we still have retards attempting to define made up terms that hold about as much relevency to the topic at hand as this post.

good thing i have my own column on smog to complain about these kind of things!

ps scyther is NOT heavy. that shit is only 123 pounds. whats that like 60 base power for low kick?

But you can attach Iron Ball to make it heavy so

Speaking of Cradily, I just tested out this set just for lols, and it just sits out there and takes hits all day long while the opponent can't really do anything about it. It's more a gimmick than anything else though. The moveset is Barrier/ Amnesia/ Toxic/ Rest. I know that it's pretty much walled by any Steel/ Poison, or basically any Pokemon with Rest or Heal Bell, but it's pretty fun to use.

Recover sucks, because you lose to poison. There's Pain Split, but you still lose to poison. Which reminds me that half the Pokemon in the game got Pain Split in HGSS.. I can understand Pokemon like Gengar, perhaps Gardevoir too, but really, Qwilfish? And what does Cradily have anything to do with Pain Split?
Pokemon are starting to defy their own logic lol.

Oh, and Cradily has Suction Cups so it can't be PHazed, just one use of Haze and Cradily is pretty much nothing.
EDIT:
It isn't walled by them, HE is walling them. Because they'll fall for sandstorm sooner or later. Cradily is the "Don't let it set up" Pokemon. Which acts similiarly to Linoone in NU (I think Stockpile / Rest / Filler / Filler is better, but do what you want, that set isn't too bad)

Cradily is such a fucking beast...it can wall almost anything without Close Combat indefinitely. Normally, you wouldn't want to use Resttalk if you have instant recovery, since it's...well, instant recovery, but having a way to get around Toxic users is convenient. You'd better have some other premier offense in your team if your going to run the risk of Resttalk at all.

Also: this is Pokemon, we've been making up our own terms forever. Arguing about its inherent meaninglessness amongst ourselves now is even more retarded. Either go with the flow or move to the beat of your own drum. Crashing against the waves is just futile.

lol exactly how many phazers do we see in UU?...I only see steelix with roar and milotic with haze(and one time weezing)...heh correct if i'm wrong or if i missed someone

I'm not going to say that those said Pokemon are 'easy to get rid of' but by your given scenario; this is late game and by then you should of been able to see all of your opponents team as well as chipping away at said phazers.

Just posting to say that I really like the current UU metagame. I am also glad to see the diversity that the absence of the suspect as created. So that this post has substinence, I must say that spike stacking did not die with frosslass. Most of the teams I am facing have omnistar, cloyster, or even cacturn. However without frosslass it makes it harder to run double ghosts. This makes spinning slightly easier.

Regirock does not outclass Cradily as a Sandstorm Curser. Firstly, like everyone else as pointed out, Cradily can't be phazed. Secondly, Cradily takes Special hits better than Regirock can (I mean, 35% from a Nasty Plotted Trick Room Slowking?? Hell yes), which is something you want in a Curser.

Anyway, you know what completely wrecks CurseRestTalk Cradily (Or Regirock, or anything similar)?? Unaware Bibarel. Yep.
Hehe

I remember when everyone was talking about LO Exeggutor in the last megathread, and how Speed is probably it's biggest problem, right?? If you don't want to run Sunny Day or Trick Room, use Stun Spore!! Something like Stun Spore/Leaf Storm/Psychic/Explosion looks pretty nice to me (You get walled by Registeel, but everything's walled by Registeel, lol).

Hey Smogon I'm Fiction. I have recently started competitive battling and have found UU to be the most fun tier. Introductions done, I was wondering if anyone things anything is broken this round. Although I wasn't around for any past rounds, so I am not sure the true measure of brokeness I have found everything managable to an extent.
