Is it possible to get a Technician Persian with Swift (Emerald Tutor) ? I looked in the discussion threads and there wasn't anything concrete about it.

You need to breed a Tyrogue with Steadfast as its ability, and i guess that Natures, Abilities and Gender are set before you take the egg, at least that's what happened with me everytime on Emerald.

Completely forgot that Tyrogue got a new ability this gen, guess it would make sense as all his evolutions did, huh? Thanks for the help!

Is a physical Mewtwo any good in the current D/P metagame?

Not really, since he lost Shadow Ball as a physical option and didn't get Shadow Claw to replace it. Focus Punching Blissey is the only use he'll get from his physical options. Shame really, I liked physical Mewtwo in ADV.

I searched but couldn't find it so..

I withdrawed my Ditto and it suddenly has rage, horn attack, scary face, pursuit, which is I think the Tauros moveset. My tauros aren't gone so wtf happened o _ 0

How long does Tail Wind last and how much of a boost does it give?
It doubles the speed of your whole team for 5 turns. But that includes the turn you use it, so if you use it, then switch another Pokemon in, that Pokemon will have 3 turns of doubled speed. I'd use it only in double battles, personally.

I actually made a tl;dr thread about this that no one replied to. Search for threads made by me in this forum and you'll easily find it.

I tried searching without luck...

For Damp Rock (the item that lengthens Rain duration) to work, do you need it on the Pokemon who Rain Dances or can another Pokemon use it after a switch in?

Then search for sandstorm teams in the advanced search in RMT section... and you'll likely get teams that vary or explain how things work there. sorry if this doesn't help enough.

That's good enough for me, I suppose. This is probably one of the best Pokemon resources on the net so I'll start looking. I am fairly new to competitive battling so thanks for the heads up.

[edit] - I believe the current record for max damage was a Deoxys FR using earthquake on a digging lvl 1 magnemite. The Deoxys was baton passed +6 attack and the Magnemite had its defense lower to -6. Deoxys then mimiced conversion to make it a ground type, had pure power skill swapped onto it and then was tricked a choice band. It then chose earthquake while its partner used helping hand. This might be beaten if that pokemon with the helping hand trait can boost the damage further.

That sounds pretty big, but firstly Magnitude base 10 is much stronger than Quake, and I also thought it was something (with a similar scenario, conversion, helping hand etc) but involving the most powerful turn of Rollout against something like Delibird.

i 5 hit bone rush is much stronger than magnitude and quake!

uhh, you said it was 10 more than earthquake so 110. but i actually think it goes up to 120. either way bone rush goes up to 125 (25base, 5 times), and if each hit scores a critical hit....do we have a new winner for max plausible damage?

Confuse ray is supposed to be an egg move on kabuto, but I put a female kabuto in the day care with a male lapras that knows confuse ray and none of the offspring have it. They just hatch out with scratch and harden. What am I doing wrong?

Did Lapras level up and knock CRay off its move list?
