this karp has a pretty good iv range, but its speed is terrible. i've been having a hard time getting anything even close to a decent speed iv, so i'm considering just settling with this...i plan on making this a dd gyarados though so should i keep breeding for speed?
 
No. I think there starts being a difference when there's 5 or 6 points. It shouldn't be taking hits, but you might want to be able to switch in on Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, etc. I'd go with the first.

Or you could breed them together.
 
um so are there any tricks to hatching eggs? i thought i once saw something about a spot where you were pushed by waves and gained steps automatically? maybe not. some way to hatch eggs without even holding the ds would be nice. i'm currently just riding up and down next to the day care.
 
i use cycling road because its fast and easy. i dont think there is anyway to gain steps without moving or touching the DS but you can use magma armor or flame body to make them hatch faster
 
The road just outside the daycare is obviously made for hatching eggs... The Cycling Road is only fast one way so you'll either need to fly or bike your way back up, so I usally don't bother with it.
 
Go to Fuego Ironworks and find one of those sliding circle things that sends you straight into a wall. Face it. Put something heavy on the button that makes you move towards it. Then go make a smoothie or something, because smoothies are kick ass.

Slow. It gets stronger the greater the difference between your and your opponents speed is. So if you are very slow and your opponent is very fast you may reach the maximum power of 150 BP.
