Is there anyway to make it work without a wireless card?

I only have my router, and can't make it.

RegardS!
Theoretically yes, but you would need a real router, where every port has it's own network.
Then you would connect your PC twice to the router, so you would have 2 different IP addresses on different networks.
Then you have to configure the router, that it transmits all the wifi data to one of the ports that are connected to the pc, the pc has shares the second connection to the one that is connected to the above said one, and the last step would be that the router routes all the traffic it receives from the second pc port (not the one that leads to the wifi) to the internet.

If you use the guide I posted some posts back, you can easily make a PC HotSpot without using any fancy programs, and it's... easier than using them, I think...
It's in the attachment.

Wow... fancy for the router method... ^_^; Glad I'm on the PC.

Oh, a question someone asked me, and I can't test:
Will this work on a Win8 Phone? I know that you can easily set up spoof Nintendo Zone (HomePass) relays via many phone types, so fulfills the HotSpot requirement, but will the program run ok, as well as that other program you need (i keep forgetting it's name)?

I've been trying to get this program to work, and everything works just as it should, like connecting to the internet etc. but when I get to the screen where I can start scanning, the values don't show up when I show my pokemon in a trade. I've tried to solve this problem for 3 days now and can't find a way to make the values show up (yes I do have tried using different connections on the off-chance that I might've picked the wrong one). :( I really don't want to bother anyone but I'd be really glad if someone checked values for me

I think it would be possible on mobile devices, if they create a hotspot, and use 2G/3G/4G as internet connectivity, but I'm not sure if you are allowed to view all the packets that are received over the hotspot.
btw, my modified InstaCheck creates the hotspot over netsh wlan :)

Is there anyway to make it work without wireless card? i have a router, and instacheck opens but when i press scan and i trade or wonder trade, nothing shows up..

I connect my 3ds directly to the router. I don't create any "hotspot" because i dont have a wireless card

Can someone help me?

Okay so I have installed all programs, checked the .NET 4.5 connection for my Windows 8 and did CMD netsh... everything seems to be correct and I can connect to internet!
I see my trainer friends that are online (but no international like I normally do) but when I try to connect to them I am disconnected from the network..

Any suggestions?

Thanks btw, I really appreciate everything and you're explaining it really well :P

Oo. Are you good with networking? I can connect and get instacheck working, but I randomly disconnect after a few minutes, and after that I can't connect back to the hotspot without restarting it. The hotspot still appears as an available network though, it's just nothing can connect to it. At first I thought it was due to my network card (Killer N-1103 with up to date drivers), but it was also happening on my brother's laptop, which also has an Atheros card (also with up to date drivers) but it's not a Killer one. So now I'm wondering if it has something to do with my router (Netgear R6300), maybe too many connections causing IP address conflicts or something (there are a crapload of connections there, like 3 wired connections, another router (random, old linksys one) with several wired connections, and a bunch of wireless ones between both routers) or perhaps something to do with DHCP/TCP stuff that I don't understand.

Press Start Scanning only if you are in the Trading menu, I read somewhere that their could be problems if you scan before that.

And you propably don't have a real router, because most of the customer routers have one port (internal), which is connected to a switch (the ports you see from the outside)

Can someone help me please? I passed the internet connection test but when i try to connect ingame I geterror code: 006-0804... can someone solve this problem?

You could say that, we have that in school (I think this was the first time I somehow "needed" this knowledge xD )
How many wifi devices and networks do you have?
Maybe there is an interference, but I doubt that would prevent you from reconnecting :/

2 networks, 8 attached devices atm.
Yeah, I'm not sure that it is interference. I'm messing around with the DNS/IP address settings on the 3ds to see if that does anything.

Can anyone help me?! I'm stuck!!

I have WinPCap and a Wireless Card but I can't connect or rather get my virtualrouterplus to start! It just gives me
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation!

for reference as to what I have to do.

I have tried using netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow in cmd, but it doesn't work.

No, DNS/IP won't help.
Actually, the 3DS doesn't like to stay connected to Hotspots like it does routers (I have no idea what the difference is...) It often closes out for short moments (which, in Pokemon's case, causes a total disconnect for the game), as well as a quick disconnect whenever you open/close the system/go to Home Menu.

You all really might want to check out the HomePass thread on GBATemp, since they cover all this networking stuff for TONS of different systems/devices to work with 3DS.

Also, SGMarcus, could you add the link to whatever is the newest revision of your InstaCheck to your Signature or something, so it's easier to find? Sorry, it's just really useful, but would be easier to just reference people who comment long past you posted it to it instead of the original.

I start the Hotspot whitout problem and get the confirmation that the Virtual network is working. In the command prompt i can see both networks enabled.
I have deleted all my network connection and only have the hotspot one...

It passes the test but when i try to connect ingame it gives me an error, someone know why that happen?

@:keefe98: That's not the only step.
In Prompt:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=attwifi key=87654321
This will set a Hosted Network with the name attwifi and a password of 87654321
then, still in Prompt:
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
This starts the network.
Then, go to your Network Adapters, and turn on Internet Connection Sharing in the Options for your adapter that provides your computer with Internet access.

joaomb: ... if you got rid of ALL your connections, then that included the Internet one. Hence the error.
