Click on the network icon on the bottom right and click on Network and Sharing Center.

When the Network and Sharing Center window opens, click on Change Adapter Settings.

Alternatively, you can press on start at the bottom left and type in ncpa.cpl in the search bar and press enter.

I typed it and it said the mode was now allowed. I was not able to start the hotspot though, got "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation" and then
"virtual router plus could not be started"

Yeah, I'm thinking you don't have a wireless card on your pc at all then. :(
 
I update my windows to windows Ultimate 7 and now i got this message
"Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component."
and
"(Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070425)"

My hosted net and wireless are enabled.

pls help

Has anyone confirmed this working with Windows 8? When i connect my 3DS to the new hotspot i get a Blue Sceen with an error and my laptop restarts.

Yeah yeah, yesterday the program worked fine, numbers and all. The screen looks like mine, but it says "Wireless Connection" on the Shared Connection part of the instacheck launch, and i cant select anything else. I think its because i have a wireless connection, but not a LAN one.
 
okay! I'm running Windows 7, with crap college internet - I think I got it working but I did a wonder trade and was able to see the other person's pokemon info, but not mine. Is that normal?

I don't currently have anyone to try regular trading with x.x But my friend code is 4253 - 3877 - 8738. My in-game name is Puyro.

Edit: my info doesn't appear in regular trading either xD can anyone help me get my ID?

I also got Instacheck and it works quite well, but I do have one very annoying problem as it can make checking stuff and typing stuff quite difficult, I have this dialog box that constantly appears whenever I run the program, that when xed out, or the OK button is hit tends to respawn almost instantly. There's a screen shot of it here: http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums...inetlySpawningAnnoyingMessage_zps2591600e.png ( I used painttoolsai to zoom in on the dialog box). So I'm wondering: Does have anyone else have this problem? And does anyone know how to fix it? It's more annoying than anything to be honest, as Istacheck works fine, it just takes longer to check stuff as i am almost getting rid of it. Oh and I run this on Windows 8
 
-sigh- I can't get this to work. >_< Maybe I should just give up. I've unzipped, restarted, and I still get the same damn thing. The hot spot can't be started or whatever. x_x
 
I can't seem to get this to work. All I get is "
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation" and then that it can't be started, I've pretty much tried everything here.

Have you tried restarting your computer at all? I think it's a pretty common error, but I don't know what causes/solves it. I had it the first day, but I haven't seen it all week.

Have you tried searching for your problem in the thread? Chances are it's been mentioned in this thread somewhere.

Yes I have. And it still appears. In fact a reboot was the first thing I tried. But for me the worst part of it is, the longer it is ignored the more times it must be Xed out before it stays gone for 5 secs to a minute. But oh well thanks.

Sorry if i insist, but i think you forgot me XP i know, you look very busy and im grateful for what you're doing, but if ill be able to start the instacheck again i will be able to help other people too.
 
Out of curiosity, does Instacheck work on eggs that are a result of the "Masuda Method"? Are those eggs somehow different than eggs from Pokémon from the same region?
