Sylveon is kind of in a similar (although to a lesser extent) situation to Mega Aggron. It's all up to you as to which defense to max. If you max their weak one, then you can be more of a mixed wall but you won't handle extremes well. If you max their good defense then attacks from the other side will annihilate you but you're so much more bulky on the one side. It really is completely down to opinion for which one you like more.

Oh ok... If you're running Calm Mind then you should most definitely run Bold. Most Slyveons I see don't have Calm Mind, which is the assumption I went with.

Yes, although it's not a disaster if you use Impish because all it really affects is Foul Play and Confusion. Mandibuzz already resists Foul Play and has much higher defenses than attacks.
