I was wondering if it is possible to get pupitar in the friend safari that evolve into tyranitar with their hidden ability, unnerve. Pupitar has no hidden ability. They all come with shed skin. So, could some of the shed-skinners be hiding their hidden ability?
Alternatively, someone could trade me a female HA larvitar in a non-standard ball. :)

Hey friend, not to bring you down, but if Sandstorm T-Tar is not good on your team, you're better off not using him at all. Unnerve isnt worth it
Yes some of the shed-skinners are hiding their ability so you're going to have a tough time finding one unfortunately.
Tyranitar seems like one I want to use, though. Assault vest makes it better. And I don't want to use sandstorm. :(
They can also be caught in Y version sometimes in hordes, but I have X version so I'll probably have to go through the safari...

Why don't you want to use sandstorm? I see that you plan on using Assault Vest to increase your Tyranitar's spD, sandstorm will just increase it even further if you use it.
he does have a point which makes my tyranitar look like poop because it has unnerve sandstorm is the reason why its so stupidly broken pair him with excadrill in a double battle you will kill people
I don't have any other pokemon that will be resistant to sandstorm. I also have a charizard Y on the team, and I felt a strong, bulky pokemon like tyranitar would be welcome. I dunno, I'm just coming to really like tyranitar lately and I want to use one...If two megas were possible, my mega aggron would fill that spot, though.
why not use sylveon or vaporeon? they are both great tanky pokemon

I probably need to rebreed one without pixilate, though. It doesn't really use that...
vaporeon is no joke either shuts down physical attackers
Physical? Is it's HP stat that good to counter a 65 defense? :O
I used vaporeon in my playthrough of X and it was a tanky tank of awesome tankness, but is it that great competitively?

Just one to trade to my nephew, he's only 7 and Darkrai is his favorite Pokemon. You can also make a copy for yourself of course. Its basically as tough as a 252/0 mega Scizor which isn't that bad at all. 130/95 on Special bulk is pretty formidable as well and 110 Sp. Atk is usable.
Math aside I haven't used one this gen but its been a Pokémon I consistently like. I've been a Drought addict since 2011 sooo I don't get to use it much :P

Just had an odd experience on Battle Spot. I was fighting a Greninja with my Celebi, and despite throwing both Psychic and Giga Drain at it, the game said Greninja was unaffected by those attacks. I wound up winning in a squeaker, but I still can't figure out why my Celebi couldn't touch that Greninja. The Protean effect never lined up to block the Psychic, Giga Drain should have gotten through no matter what.

Weird, I've had this same experience, but it was through a passerby WiFi battle. My Pinsir somehow missed a Closed Combat against a Darkrai, despite CC having 100% accuracy and Darkrai not using any evasive boosting moves prior to the attack. Can anyone help us?
