The starters aren't rare if you have colosseum, as 3 of the first trainers you fight have meganium/feraligatr/typhlosion if I do recall correctly.

Charmander/Squirtle/Bulbarsar are not rare, as they're from FR/LG AS the starters.

Treeco, mudkip, and torchic are not rare for the same reasons.

Obviously, the DP starters are not an issue.

Yes, the type-beams are tutored... tutorable from D/P for ALL starters.

The 100-trainer-get in MT battle is only in XD, if I recall correctly. Otherwise, it's Ho-oh.

What exactly does Mold Breaker do? I know it has something to do with the opponent's ability, but from SPP's description, it's not obvious...

If the opponent has an ability that lowers or prevents damage (Levitate for Example) , it cancels that ability.

Edit: @ Sciz
I always use this and it works just fine for me. But it doesnt have stuff like Life Orb, that needs to be done manually.

yeah, it also doesn't have grass knot. And those decimals in the damage really make me want to think that that's not right. Something tells me that it isn't rounding. Any other good calcs?

Is that all it does? From the descriptions I've read, I was under the impression that it would cancel all abilities, including things like Pure Power and Steadfast.

In Generation IV, is CH rate calculated the same way as Generation III? Also, for attacks that hit multiple times, like Rock Blast, does each hit have a chance of CH?

i'm using an octillery on my new uu team and i have someone that will be baton passing it agilities when needed. becuase of the lack of a Special Attack boosting move on my team to BP to him, is it a good idea to run Charge Beam over Flamethrower on his standard set (Surf, Ice Beam, Energy Ball, Flamethrower). Type coverage wise, Flamethrower is far superior but it invites Gyarados to come in and DD freely. Charge Beam on the other hand helps his sweeping potential but then i get screwed by the like of Metagross and Bronzong. what should i do? Flamethrower or Charge Beam.

If anything, I would put charge beam over energy ball. That only really leaves you stuck against Swampert, or Lanturn and Wiscash in UU. Surf already hits rocks and grounds, and charge beam can hit waters.

Alternately, Zapdos and Jolteon can pass charge beam and agility (oh, and the slut bunny, too)

i didn't even think about doing it over energy ball. thats a great idea.
but do you think that he can sweep with +2-4 Speed and a Life Orb in UU? OU?
or does he need more Special Attack to pull it off?

Normal CH rate is still calculated the same, but high-crit moves don't critical as often as they did in ADV. Focus Energy also got a big boost in power; Read the research thread if you want to know the exact details.

Each hit from Rock Blast and the like have a chance to CH. So yeah, it's technically possible to get 5 CHs.

Sadly yes. We all had great images of Rampardos running away from Dugtrio, being protected from Intimidate and loling at Medicham.

It has the power to hit Sheddy with any move, EQ Levitators, Surf Water Absorbers (lol) and so on. Only really useful vs Gengar, Weezing and Bronzong. Oh it can also hit Rhyperior for full damage too.

I'm sure that this question has been asked before, but has anyone in real life/ingame/wifi actually tried to breed a BD male Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard with a female Bagon/Shelgon/Salamence in LG/FR/E? I guess I just need more proof to see exactly which pokedex is accurate... (I'm not looking for "no, it's not listed," or "no, it cannot learn BD," but instead, "no/yes, I've tried and it doesn't work."...

You CAN'T Tutor the starters, only the final evolution, so they are rare.

And I DON'T think they are egg moves, so if you don't evolve, its a collector's pokemon.

I wasn't talking about here on smogon- No one gives a crap about stuff like this- we like Ivs, I was just wondering how rare it is.

EDIT: New question, how much can I get for this legit untouched not cloned pbr pikachu?

Considering Serebii's Pokedex makes no mention of it, and the Official Nintendo Emerald guide has no mention of it being an egg move for Salamence, I'm 99.9% sure that Salamence does not get Belly Drum. I doubt anybody would even try getting a Belly Drum Charizard with a member of the Salamence family for that reason.

To answer your question though, no, I haven't actually tried it. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you though.

I have a question, if I Ev train a Nincada that evoilves into a Ninjask, will the Shedinja I get have the Evs of the Ninjask?

Yes. Essentially, shedinja "evolved" from nincada, making them the "same pokemon." IVs, EVs, moves, etc, will all be the same.

Ok thanks, also another question, my pokemon has Pkrs and ius holding the respective power band, how many ev do i get from a pokemon that gives off 1?

Is it possible to pass on IV's via breeding? If so, how?

(Example: I have a Garchomp with 31 IV's in speed and a Jolly Ditto @ Everstone, of course. Now that Garchomp has 31 IV's, how can I pass them through to the baby Gible? Do I need to give an item to Garchomp or something?)

Yes you can indeed; and it doesn't require an item at all!

This thread is a good place to start for the basics of breeding.

Unfortunately, when IV breeding is concerned, there's never an easy answer. Regardless of items, the parent's usually pass on three IV's. Not each, but collectively. That means that if the speed IV is indeed inhereted (19~% chance) there's a 50% chance the baby will have a 31 speed IV. Now, since three IV's are (Most of the time) passed on, you will, in absolutely ideal circumstances, have approx 29% chance of getting a perfect-speed IV baby.

Alright, my question is as follows:
Where the heck may one procure a rowap or jaboca berry?
