Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Lost Alakazam to Salemance. I'm just happy he didn't want Talonflame or Keldeo.
Edit: Ninja'd Salemance lol.
Edit 2: ForgottenOnes, I think you should have a limit on how many Pokemon someone can take in one day. Otherwise, some players will be able to put together an entire team of OU viable Pokemon before others even have a chance to battle.
You gotta challenge them and give them time to teambuild, but yeah Rosenfeldius .
Also, since I think a decent part of the motivation for this project is to promote the usage of lower-tier mons, it would be cool if people talked a bit about their teambuilding thoughts in their posts.

So I had Politoed and Quagsire and he had Azumarill and Gorebyss. I assumed he would have some SmashPass shenanigans going on with Gorebyss which had potential to be a large threat. Quagsire is something of a built-in counter to this, but he can be overrun by a strong special attacker, so I went with my Amnesia Quag set to hedge against that possibility. However, I wanted another check to these SmashPassers, so I went with Mega-Banette, who with Prankster Destiny Bond does a great job of shutting down boosters. Of course, since that OU set has been removed from the analysis, I forgot the reason why you can't fit WoW onto this set (you need Protect for your Mega-Evo turn so you can guarantee Prankster DBond), which could have lost me the game, but it worked out. After Quagsire and Mega-Banette I decided on the standard Damp Rock Politoed to turn LO Clawitzer into a huge threat as a wallbreaker. Obviously I don't have the tools to make a really dedicated rain team without Kingdra/Kabutops/Omastar, but Clawitzer still hits very hard and rain will help him out. This gives me some offensive presence and provides a way for me to dictate the pace of the game. For my last two slots I wanted some speed control and answers to Azumarill, which is obviously a huge threat. I don't have the standard OU answers like Mega-Venusaur, Amoonguss, Skarmory, etc. Quagsire handles anything but the Band set, but I don't want him to get overloaded dealing with Azu and SmashPass recipients, so I decided on the duo of a scarfed Rotom-C and Registeel. Registeel gave me Rocks and speed control in the form of TWave, while Rotom-C is perfect against Azu and Gorebyss and gives me a way to revenge kill stuff and gain momentum. Rotom-C ended up as an all-star that match, so that was a good choice.
So far I really like the idea behind this challenge, it seems like a lot of fun and a way to stretch your teambuilding skills. I tend to build stall which kinda limits your options since you need answers to top threats, so this put me outside my comfort zone, which was fun.
