protect works good with WOW and with lefties but toxic would work better but theres alot of steel types out there and WOW makes your oppents attack weaker

shadow sneak could also work in the last slot to kill something off fast and for ghost stab same with shadow punch but that doesnt have a priority and is only 20bp stronger

night shade is good since you run no evs in attack but dusknoir has a pretty decent attack

the set i would use would be
toxic
protect
shadow sneak
ice punch
but i really like using toxic and protect so its kindof biased (SP?) well hope this helped probably not though =)

Yeah I was initially thinking of TOXIC but WoW can really help! The burn cuts attack by 50% (which this guy needs coz he's not EVed for Defense). I think I may put Toxic....not sure. Also, PAIN SPLIT is a must!! How did you not include that in your set? Hmmm...Shadow Sneak has its advantages. I'll try that..thanks though. I think I'll go with this:
- Toxic
- Ice Punch
- Pain Split
- Protect/Shadow Sneak

pain splits no fun though maybe you could do a double statuser with WOW in for protect that could be cool

Edit: maybe could use thunderpunch instead in this set for the most common taunter gyrados also hits crobat wich also uses taunt

Is this a good spread for my Politoed? Here are its details:

Pokemon: Politoed
Nature: Modest
Ability: Water Absorb
IVs: 24, X, 26, 24, 25, 24

I was wondering what I should EV train it in. I thought it over, and this is what I came up with. But before doing it I'd like to get some opinions first. So I don't screw up. Here's what I decided to EV train it in:

10 HP, 4 Defense, 252 Special Attack, 244 Speed

Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

Politoed isn't much of a speedy sweeper. If you absolutely MUST use politoed, I'd reccomend capitalizing on its decent hp and quality SDEF. In terms of sheer numbers (tactics aside...) Politoed with max sdef/hp could take special hits ALMOST as well as palkia.

When ev training ludicolo should i put ev's in hp, special defence or both?

at the moment

ludicolo - modest with swift swim
ice beam
energy ball
rain dance
surf
252 special attack 84 speed - 172 hp/special defence

decent?

The Ludicolo analysis for the set you're using recommends 104 Speed and 152 HP.

Im having issues with hidden power. I entered my timid eevees IVs into metalkids HP Calculator and it says Hidden power bug 48. ive tried it on a few pokes and it fits into the 'super effective' 'not very effective' hits category EXCEPT on kricketune, it doesnt say anything and he is suppose to be 4x resistant isn't he?

i tried it on the following

buizel: nothing
zubat: NVE
machop: NVE
geodue: nothing
Gastly: NVE
kricketune: nothing

whats going on with it eh?

as an add on question, would hidden power bug(power 48) be better than shadow ball on a jolteon or not? they are my only options

Use the vs seeker to re-battle the person with the Keckleon. If you don't want to get EV's from the battle then just save the game before battling then re-battle the person with the Keckleon. Find out your HP type then turn off the game.

thanks for the help Miamisportsfan45 ill go look for that dude now. i thought kricketune was bug flying lol, indeed MrOneOhOne you are probably right..

thanks again

Where can you check if the pokemon's love is maxed out?
Im trying to evolve my Riolu but it needs Max love.

I don't think you need to completely max out their happiness to evolve them, but if the guy on Route 213 gives you the footprint ribbon, you should be good to go. I usually just use the happiness checker (Poketch #6), and try to evolve when I get two big hearts.

I'm trying to capture a good Mesprit, so I need to know what nature to go for, so which set suits Mesprit best: the CM BoltBeam one (Modest) or the Sturdy one (Bold)?

Mesprit is a Pokemon that should adapted based on the team. If you need a special attacker, use the CMBoltBeam version, and if you need it to counter stuff like Gyarados and Garchomp, use the sturdy version.

I plan on making a gimmick Sandstorm team for Wifi. Problem is it's mostly for against some friends, friends who want legendaries banned. So my question is, are there any good Rock/Steel/Ground Sp Attackers that I can use besides Heatran, or good ones that would be suitable on a sandstorm team, or is Gengar alone good enough for this (which I plan to use)?

And to a lesser extent what pokemon are good for a sandstorm team in general. So far I have noted the likes of Tyranitar, Gengar, Hippopotas, Cradily, Swampert, Gliscor, Garchomp, Donphan and Bronzong.

@Too hungry: Check the analysis for Togekiss.

I'm not sure, but i guess Lucario has decent SAtk... (base 115) But I don't know in what way Lucario is used, really. I've got to check the Analysis for it.

When you professional breeders make babies, do you do natures first or IVs? And do you usually find a good ditto to keep breeding with? or do you try to get two decent-ived parents of the same species?
