Oh, does that also go for Serperior?
Please consult google and associated Pokemon databases for such easy-to-answer questions in the future (I only say this because you have a lot of fragmented questions).

Refer to the first post for general knowledge and refer to the "Possible Pokeball + Pokemon combinations" section for ball legality in accordance to the last link I provided.

Nicknameable on request!

Repost again, although I'm going to bed soon so I guess it doesn't matter :0 Thunduruses are appreciated!

What Hidden Power would be useful on Charizard-Y? Or any at all?

personally i dont think any. solarbeam takes care of the rock and water weaknesses. i guess you can run ground for the electric types, but a stab fireblast or flamethrower in the sun will still hit way harder

Which is more popular?
HP Ground is mainly for easily disposing of Heatran and to hit Fire Types resisting its STAB and Solar Beam for a good amount of damage, not to mention is a cool substitute for "Focus" Blast, unless you're concerned with TTar. HP Ice is in a similar boat, but is instead used for Dragons like 'mence or Garchomp. I personally prefer HP Ground.

What about Houndour? What purpose does HP Fighting serve it? Is it worth breeding?

I'm not familiar with Little Cup but Dark + Fighting offers pretty good coverage on it's own. Fire adds fairies, Heracross, Hawlucha and Croagunk/Toxicroak to your offensive coverage.

EDIT: The only Pokémon that resist Dark + Fire + Fighting are members of the Azumarill-line as far as I can tell.

What about Houndour? What purpose does HP Fighting serve it? Is it worth breeding?
I would presume the main target for Houndoom would be to Lure Tyranitar, which resists both STABs and has the bulk to stomach it at +2
+2 252 SpA Mega Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 126-149 (36.9 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Might have some use in LC for Houndour, considering it can hit some of the Rock Types and certain bulky Thick Fat mons. It's also just slightly better coverage alongside Fire + Dark.

anybody have a spitback of a calm or modest rotom? :)

Pretty sure I have an EV'd Modest battery thingamajig stashed in my Bank. You're free to it since I don't really battle much anymore. Give me about 15 mins.

EDIT: Added you, if you're still looking for one.
