Monotype Best of 3 Tournament

It's pretty simple, both players will play 3 games:

1 Standard ORAS Monotype,
1 Lower Tier Monotype (details below)
1 Gen 5 Monotype.

Winning 2 out of the 3 games means you move on in the tour!
Standard Simulator Rules apply for ORAS Monotype and Gen 5 Monotype (challenge via Gen 5 OU).

Lower Tier Monotype will be played using ORAS Monotype but players will be limited to the following types: Fire, Fairy, Ghost, Grass, Electric, Poison, Ice, Rock. These correspond to the "lower tier" types in the overall metagame as designated by the Monotype Usage Statistics. These 8 types will not change throughout the tour.

Tournament Rules
All Standard Tournament Rules apply. Plus the following:​

• The first battle can be whatever the two players agree on, but after that game, the loser decides what tier will be played next, and if 1-1, the tier not yet played will be played (ex: after ORAS Monotype and Lower Tier Monotype it is tied 1-1 so Gen 5 Monotype must be played)​
• Any games not finished by the deadline, unless granted an extension, will be decided by a coin toss, or given to the player who was more active.​
• If you missed sign ups, you may apply to be a sub, but no subs after round 1.​
• Each round will last 1 week.​
