My Q: why does smogon have a toast smiley :toast: but not a sunglasses sminey B-D

What Ivs should I try for when shooting for a BP 60 Hidden power (fighting) for a plot/passing ambipomb.
http://metalkid.info/Pokemon/OnlineProgram/Calculators/HiddenPower.aspx

If you need to find the IVs for a particular Hidden Power, that calculator should help. For HP Fighting 60, by the way, the best IVs I can get are:

29 / 29 / 28 / 30 / 30 / 28 Speed

And yes, Too Hungry, Technician does boost Hidden Power if its BP is no more than 60, which is why Arwen77 asked his question in the first place.

I think I've heard that Hidden Power will get the Technician boost as long it's Base Power is 60 or under.

Not sure if this belongs here, but does anyone know a reputable place to buy pokemon stuff other than Pokemon Center? I'm trying to find a quality metal pokeball keychain, but I can't find one anywhere.. Maybe they just never had the idea? I don't know.

can someone help me with understanding the shoddy ladder ratings?
wad does μ(mean score) mean? ratio of win loss rate??
and wad does ϕ(standard deviation) mean?

thanks

This is not an appropriate question for this forum >_>

That said, ignore all that till you take statistics. But if you insist... here is a non-technical explanation that is incorrect in some areas but will probably help you imagine the concept. Aka, these are metaphors, and aren't completely true.

1. The ranking system is heavily based in statistics, so keep that as a reminder as I explain things. A statistic is never 100% accurate, and there are various means to measure the accuracy of statistics and so forth. However, the mean would be one kind of "best guess" as to what your "True Ranking" is.

2. However, how good is this guess? One way to measure how good the guess is, is to calculate a standard deviation. Lets say your standard deviation is 50... and your mean is 1500... then there is ~95% chance that your "true ranking" is in between 1400 and 1600. The smaller the standard deviation, the more accurate the measurement.

Again, this isn't exactly perfect, but it should be close enough so that you can understand somewhat what is going on.

I got a Nincada from a trade, specifically, one bred in Emerald and then Pal Parked. I leveled it to 20 with a spare slot in my party, and it ONLY evolved into Ninjask, without getting a Shedinja in the spare slot. At first, I did this with rare candies and one spare slot, then, just in case, I reseted and leveled to 20 fighting in the wild and with 2 spare slots, but again no Shedinja?

Is this normal? Could anyone explain me why has this happened?

Thanks.

iirc you should also have a spare pokeball on your bag as well as the spare space

A normal pokeball? Because I have a lot of pokeballs, but not a single normal one. I'll try buying a normal pokeball.

EDIT: That was it, thanks!

To clarify this, the type of ball needed is the same as the type the Nincada was caught in.

eg: If it was caught in a Master Ball then you need a spare Master Ball in your bag.

Just posting this to avoid disappointed people who caught their Nincadas in the wild and can't get them to evolve...

If I have two ex shares equiped on different pokemon
and say I kill a gengar with a 3rd party pokemon
