Someone told me that BP maxes at 200 so having Stab with a 200 bp reversal is useless?

Base Power doesn't take STAB into consideration. Reversal's base power is maxed at 200, but when you use it with a fighting type Pokemon, the effective power is 300 from the same-type attack bonus.

*Edit: Whoops, I missed this page and didn't realize it had been responded to.

BP DOES NOT max at 200.

Explosion is 250 BP..xD

Is hidden power grass really any good for a Jolteon?

Only things it's really good for are Swampert and Rhyperior. And (haven't calc'd it), I'm not sure if Jolteon will even be able to 1HKO them with Grass. Ice is a good deal better, IMO.

Hidden Power Grass hits certain Pokemon that would otherwise be Jolteon counters very hard. Swampert, Quagsire, Gastrodon, and Rhyperior are all 4x weak to grass but immune to electric attacks. However, HP grass will be rather predictable depending on how many people use Jolteon and run it on them and many switch to a special wall to counter you instead of one of their grass weaks.

still wasnt answered, how do you calculate base stats from lv 100 stats

Well, the Base Stats are the same for all Pokemon of the same species.

If you mean their Individual Values, there is a calculator for that on Serebii.net under "Game Mechanics - Individual Values." However, it is only possible to calculate a Pokemon's individual values if you know how many Effort Values of each type it has accumulated during its training. Read about effort values on the Serebii.net game mechanics page as well if you need more information.

this may have already been asked but
i have seen a bunch of clauses and know what they mean except for species clause... it kinda confused me
is it i cant have two pokemon of the same type like 2 waters or i cant have two of the same pokemon like 2 starmies?

I've been having trouble passing on Pokerus in Pearl.

I got it legit in Ruby and had no problem spreading the disease in both that game and the Pokemon I imported to Diamond. But when I traded one of the infected Pokemon to Pearl, it's been taking me forever to pass it on. It's been taking me hours biking around randomly, with the infected Pokemon placed first in my party, and the double battle physical attack method isn't productive since most of the Pokemon I want infected are freshly hatched lv. 1 Pokemon. And it hasn't worked much either for my junk lv. 100 starters anyways.

Any advice on spreading Pokerus, or should I just be patient and resist the urge to throw my DS out the window?

basicly its the same pokemon and its pre-formes and evo's.. not including chain evos like eevee so you can run (jolteon and umbereon if you wanted). also this includes pokemon like scyther and scizor since that have diferent playing styles ( one trys to outrun everything other is more of a bulkier pokemon) i think this includes porygon2 - porygonZ b/c of different ability but im not sure

@ Age of Kings try battling wild pokemon i think thats how it spreads

What I sometimes do is have the infected Pokemon beat stuff up while the one I'm trying to get it just sits in slot two of the party twiddling its thumbs. The rest of the time I have just placed the contagious one next to the intended target of Pokerus and have my lead Pokemon go on a killing spree.

Well, check if it has a :l face first of all, maybe that's why...

I'll try it, thanks.

If you hack a TM and use it on a legit Pokemon, will the pokemon be revealed as hacked

Example: Hack a Stone Edge TM and placed on a legit Torterra, will a HackerFinder (like Raikou) see the Torterra as a hack or a legitamate Pokemon

OK Thanks.
Anyways different question:
Does Wide Lens boost Hypnosis' acurracy to 77% or 80%?
I asked this question before and got different answers.

Spiritomb: Impish or Careful? I'm running this set:

-Hypnosis
-WoW
-Sucker Punch
-Shadow Sneak

Um... I guess I'd just go with Careful and see how it works out.

I'm planning to raise a Politoed. Yeah. Politoed. I have two sets I've been thinking of. Considering that special Kingdra is the other Water-type on my team, which set do you think I should go with?

Politoed
EVs: 252 HP, 160 Sp. Attack, 98 Defense (still under consideration)
Nature: Modest
Item: Expert Belt
Ability: Damp/Water Absorb (it's not that important for the team I'm using)
1. Surf
2. Hypnosis
3. Psychic
4. Focus Blast

Politoed
EVs: 252 HP, 60 Sp. Defense, 198 Sp. Attack (also under consideration)
Nature: Calm
Item: Zoom Lens
Ability: Damp/Water Absorb
1. Hydro Pump
2. Hypnosis
3. Blizzard
4. Focus Blast

If you have any other suggestions as well, feel free to post them.
