i think the only thing we can read out of the hawkie/aubisio interaction at this point in time is that they probably aren't both scum

which isn't a very helpful read tbh
 
i replied like that to apply pressure, what he done was a small thing but at the start of the game with nothing else to go on it was something. It was just one scummy post so i tried to push him out of his comfort zone to get a better read

because if it's basic game then yeah there's some precedent for him doing this sort of thing as scum

the only thing that makes me nervous is that i don't think i've seen his forum town game, maybe this is just the sort of player he is...

he was town neighbourhood actually, d1 he did a similar thing of not having much substantial and just "joking" around really
 
He's like haruno in having a copout of seeming scummy in general but it still bothers me for when they are scum

I'm also curios if scum are randomized or attempted to balance, can host confirm / any speculation?
 
I will confirm there was thought put in on role assignments. I will confirm in post-game as to what that thought process is as if I were to go into it, I don't want to reveal anything that would influence votes as I think going down this logic would probably harm thought processes and quality of discussion as to "what would Snype pick?" rather than the questions I'm hoping to be: "who do we think is scum? / do we think that everyone alive is village?" I would make an attempt to balance where I can. I'll reveal thought processes in post-game but this is all I will reveal on it for now. Please save any discussion with me on format for the postgame as this is pretty experimental. You are welcome to discuss what you think the format might be amongst yourselves but I won't be providing much input on it.

I did however consult another player's thoughts on this playerbase since I'm not familiar with most of you as mafia players. He won't be subbing in.
 
does it bug anyone else that all Flyhn has done is post his readslist which were for the most part surface reads/very passive and now his only other activity is pushing other people for reads lol
 
There's not much to say as far as players are concerned.

Twin: much less aggressive than usual, could be scumgame but also could be he realized this playstyle is ass and why we lost neighborhood.
texas: actually seems suspicious since as opposed to reckless abandon in neighborhood and eventually claiming a neutral? while attempting to lead village, this game he hasn't posted anything in comparison which seems odd especially since he must realize that empoof was relatively easy to bw along with as opposed to walrein who will call him out on that shit.
walrein: unable to say anything because I swear if you all think he's town just because he's posting and attempting to lead village, plz refer to dead mafia. k thx. So I can't really say anything about him in particular.

aubisio: I REALLY CANNOT SAY as his partner in basic mafia, he did as much dumb shit as possible to get himself incriminated as mafia but rn he's sticking mostly to idling so hasn't done much. zzzzz. Could be odd, could be not. w/e null read.
dentricos hasn't really said much except attempt to bandwagon me and the other posts lack any real substance but he did try and do the idiot scum thing as homage to last noc? I don't know why he tried that since it's clearly not a good strat.
blazade: Hard town mostly because he's the first person to point out that steven snype specifically told him that everyone is a vanillager and there's no way for mafia to know that unless I missed something in the rules.
betathunder: hasn't said anything.

former hope: hasn't done much besides ask speculation and push the suspicion onto hawkie. If hawkie flips as town, it'd seem likely former hope is mafia.

in no particular order the only people i see as potential scum atm.
aubisio/walrein/texas (most likely mafia)/dentricos/pancake

town: blazade is the only one I'm pretty convinced is town, everyone else i didn't list as scum is more lean null than town.
 
wrt blaz: no, steven snype did not specifically tell him everyone is a vanillager, blaz pointed out that the OP of this thread had snype flip his own role card in which it was revealed that all villagers were vanilla. that's apparent from both the rules and the posts on page (2 iirc) explicitly clarifying that
wrt walrein: the possibility has been raised that he could be mafia mole. by me no less. so no, not everyone is sheeping him but to this point he's acting in the town's interests
wrt twin: subjective, but he seems as aggressive as always?
wrt myself: learn my neighbourhood role already oml: town-aligned neutral. are you claiming i'm attempting to lead village this game? or last? i don't see how the former plays out whatsoever, that's clearly blaz/walrein/twin territory. i explained my relative lack of posting in my reads post, personal circumstances for less opportunity to post, less need to post all the time/first game anxiety, role in last game made sense to post constantly but doesnt as a vanillager. don't understand the empoof/walrein comparison at all, i don't recall bandwagoning empoof at any point especially considering i was dead by the time he took the lead and i know nothing of walrein's playstyle other than that he's experienced


finding it odd that you ignore hawkie completely in reads when he's been one of the main points of discussion

Considering that analysis I'd want the lynch either on hawkie or on betathunder. Hawkie would seemingly be the safe lynch but he's also an easy lynch for mafia to push if he is town, and having seen that happen basically every time in the two previous NOCs I'm wary. Betathunder is the other good lynch target imo, his single post had no content and I think the most likely scenario is that he's idling to avoid target while others throw themselves on their swords. When my strongest scum read isn't even a two thirds likelihood (in my post I said 60-65% confidence) that's not a railroad I'm tying myself to when there's doubt about him and other avenues yet to pursue

Dentricos buddying hawkie is super weird imo and it makes me think dentricos is worse and hawkie is better
